  1. Bit off-topic : I've bin using PSU's which have te ability to measure the in and out put wattage for some time now (Previously a Corsair HX850i and currently a HX1000i for the 7950X3d/RTX 4090 setup) Just out of curiousity : how "correct" are these kind of PSU with measuring the wattage in comparision to digital power monitor ??
  2. So I found this on the interweb this morning : FS Macro Panel It is said to be specifically for the neighbours aka MSFS. YET, does it work with DCS ? Does anyone know ? (Can't find anything about DCS on their website)
  3. Just a bit of a warning : watch out with these kinda "benchmark" channels, a lot of them are fake. (And yes, I fell for it too) Stick with known reviewers like Der8auer, Gamers Nexus , hardware unboxing etc
  4. Sorry to ask but were are the lua files suppose to be placed/installed ?
  5. So my whole setup is Virpil : throttle, joystick, controls panels (al 3 of them) collective and rudder pedals. Now I'm using the dials on the control panels and throttle for the brightness of say formation lights, nav lights, heading bug, course bug barometric altimeter and radar altimeter. The thing is , the dails have a big increment. If you want to change the heading or course it goes in increments of +/- 5 degrees If you you want to change the barometric altimeter or radar altimeter it takes steps of 5 to 10. Now in MSFS (yes I know, totally different simulator) the dials do increments of 1, like what you expect them to do. Is it possible to let the dials behave the same way in DCS, what I mean is that they only do increments of 1 ? If it's possible, how do you change this ?
  6. If it has bin requested before, I'm sorry. If not, here goes : The thing I really really really miss with the Apache is the blade whopping when you turn. (Same as with the Hind) If that could be implemented in some future update : I will be ever gratefull
  7. So I've bin watching Wags his guide on on TDS navigation (which is very helpfull) yet there's something I can't figure out. Let say your doing a CAS mission and the JTAC gives you the cooridinates of the target. Now normally you go TSD->MAP->POINT->ADD->TG and use the the cursor to point at the coordinates. Thing is, the coordinates are mostly way out of your map screen (and for some dume reason I can find map square markings on the map displayed in TSD) so I want to manually input the coordinates using the left side keyboard. Aaannndd for some reason, the way I'm doing it doesn't work. I select TSD -> MAP -> POINT -> TG -> and type in the coordinates (FH595705 enter did work so I figured okay it needs a 8 digit coordinate and changed it to FH59507050 and enter but it still doesn't take) So my question as stated in the topic title : Is it possible to manually input coordinates using the keyboard AND how ?
  8. So my whole setup is Virpil : Warbrd with Constellation grip, T50CM3 throttle, RCS plus base collective with Sharka-50 grip, ACE flight pedals, Sharka-50 control panel and control panel 1, and 2. (Yeahhh, this went a tiny bit over the top) I haven't played DCS for a while, and started again this week when control panel 1 came in and preparing for the Apache. So I mapped for the Hind, the F/A-18C and today, the Apache. But even after saving the control mapping per aircraft/helicopter, the mapping keeps disappearing. And IF the map will load, sometimes the inputs are swapped out between the collective and the panels, or between the panels themselves. Does anyone has any idea what is happening ? And maybe have a sollution how to fix this ?
  9. Gonna follow this topic. Bin thinking about buying the Aero when it's for sale in my country, the thing is i'm doubtfull about using a external tracking base. Definitly wanna know what other people's experience is gonna be.

Out of curiosity : Did anyone try if it's possible to use the levers on Shark 50 CP as input for the launchbar (up and down), toolhook (up and down) and parking brake (PB on and off) on the F/A-18C and F-14 A/B ?? Or use 1 of the levers as control for sweep wing on the F-14A/B ?

I was hoping they were momentary switches, that would have helped for the way I wanted to use them. Somebody on the Virpil forum gave me a kind of work around using the virpil software that might work.

Guys, question : Can someone how owns the new control panel Sharka 50 please confirm that the 3 way switches are really momentary switches (like you push them and they come back to the zero position, the same ase with the switches on the 2de control panel) ?? (I mean the LH ENG/RG ENG and START/CRANK buttons) Yes, I bought the Sharka 50 control panel, but i've bin stuck at my work for the last 3 weeks. To do something usefull I made a button layout for this control panel. If these switches are indeed 3 way momentary switches it would make my life a lot easier. (And I can do the hole button layout all over again)
  14. If this topic doesn't belong here, I'm sorry. It looks like this section of the forum could probably answer my question. So I bought Virpil's new control panel a couple of days ago, the Sharka-50 control panel. My first idea was using a small Virpil deskmount and put it on my computer desk. ... then I had this great idea : hey why not use a Monstertech chairmount and attach it to the right side of the chair. The thing is : I don't know which mount attachment plate I need for my chair (it's a Nitro Concept S300. The easy thing would be is to measure to distance of the armrest bolts : yet I'm not home until somewere halve of december. (working offhore) I was hoping someone here could answer my question, it would be nice if I could order the chairmount and it would be waiting when I get home I've already searched interent in the hope I could find the armerest bolt distances for a S300 there but haven't found anything yet.
  15. Ah, okay that explains a lot thank you
  16. Gentle people, I've got a question. Virpil has a 50mm extension on sale for there WarbD and CM50 base. Now the Virpil site says this 50mm extension can NOT be used on the Thrustmaster Warthog joystick : okay clear. yet if read somewere (either here or on the Virpil forum : I can't find it) that some people do use the 50mm extension in combination with the Warthog joystick and base. Could someone (preverably the owners of said combination with said extension) confirm that it indeed works ??
  17. Sorry for the late reply : Yep, the molykote 55 works like a charme Do yourself a favor : - throughly clean the joystick base (and throttle if you want to re-grease this one two), there could be a lot of plastic shavings in the base (and throttle) - see if you can borrow (or buy) Dremel : if you look in the pressure plate of the joystick (the plate that goes on top of the gimbal and were the big spring goes on top) it has a lot plastic irregualrities in the holes were the guides for the pressure plate go through. If you get these out, it will make the pressure plate move a bit smover over the guides.
  18. Thanks, I'll try the Molykote 55 tomorrow. If that doesn;t work, this marca Super lube is available in Holland so it's easy to get [edit] Molykote 55 works like a charme with the joystick : it hasn't bin this smoove in ages Tomorrow the throttle. [/edit]
  19. A couple of days ago I wanted to regrease my Warthog joystick and throttle. Because Nyogel 767a is hard to come by in Europe (and not available in Holland) so I bought Nyogel 760G Long story short : 760G S#<K$ The throttle and slider are harder to move then before and the joystick isn't much better : While movement outside of centre seams a bit better, around centre the joystick is REALLY hard to move. It's almost as if the joystick suddenly has a dead centre. (Yes, when taking the joystick apart I grinded down the gimbal and removed any fabrication edges on other components so it shouldn't stick anymore) Anyway : this did work ... at all. This afternoon I found a tube of Molykote 55 o-ring grease. (Production information -> Molykote® 55 O-Ring Grease (ulbrich.cz) ) I can't find any simular production information sheet for Nyogel 767a to compare it with the Molykote 55 but maybe someone here can tell me : Can you use Molykote 55 as grease for the Warthog throttle and joystick ??
  20. A couple of weeks ago I bought a Virpil control panel 2 (the one with the landing gear stick) Now I've bin trying to connect the radar altimeter dail to a dail on the control panel : no go. I can't find the key short cut used for the radar altimeter dail to in control setup. Could someone please help me out ?
