If this topic doesn't belong here, I'm sorry. It looks like this section of the forum could probably answer my question. So I bought Virpil's new control panel a couple of days ago, the Sharka-50 control panel. My first idea was using a small Virpil deskmount and put it on my computer desk. ... then I had this great idea : hey why not use a Monstertech chairmount and attach it to the right side of the chair. The thing is : I don't know which mount attachment plate I need for my chair (it's a Nitro Concept S300. The easy thing would be is to measure to distance of the armrest bolts : yet I'm not home until somewere halve of december. (working offhore) I was hoping someone here could answer my question, it would be nice if I could order the chairmount and it would be waiting when I get home I've already searched interent in the hope I could find the armerest bolt distances for a S300 there but haven't found anything yet.

Gentle people, I've got a question. Virpil has a 50mm extension on sale for there WarbD and CM50 base. Now the Virpil site says this 50mm extension can NOT be used on the Thrustmaster Warthog joystick : okay clear. yet if read somewere (either here or on the Virpil forum : I can't find it) that some people do use the 50mm extension in combination with the Warthog joystick and base. Could someone (preverably the owners of said combination with said extension) confirm that it indeed works ??

Sorry for the late reply : Yep, the molykote 55 works like a charme Do yourself a favor : - throughly clean the joystick base (and throttle if you want to re-grease this one two), there could be a lot of plastic shavings in the base (and throttle) - see if you can borrow (or buy) Dremel : if you look in the pressure plate of the joystick (the plate that goes on top of the gimbal and were the big spring goes on top) it has a lot plastic irregualrities in the holes were the guides for the pressure plate go through. If you get these out, it will make the pressure plate move a bit smover over the guides.

A couple of days ago I wanted to regrease my Warthog joystick and throttle. Because Nyogel 767a is hard to come by in Europe (and not available in Holland) so I bought Nyogel 760G Long story short : 760G S#<K$ The throttle and slider are harder to move then before and the joystick isn't much better : While movement outside of centre seams a bit better, around centre the joystick is REALLY hard to move. It's almost as if the joystick suddenly has a dead centre. (Yes, when taking the joystick apart I grinded down the gimbal and removed any fabrication edges on other components so it shouldn't stick anymore) Anyway : this did work ... at all. This afternoon I found a tube of Molykote 55 o-ring grease. (Production information -> Molykote® 55 O-Ring Grease (ulbrich.cz) ) I can't find any simular production information sheet for Nyogel 767a to compare it with the Molykote 55 but maybe someone here can tell me : Can you use Molykote 55 as grease for the Warthog throttle and joystick ??

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Virpil control panel 2 (the one with the landing gear stick) Now I've bin trying to connect the radar altimeter dail to a dail on the control panel : no go. I can't find the key short cut used for the radar altimeter dail to in control setup. Could someone please help me out ?

Okay, that I didn't know. I always went on the assumption the Hind could carry a full weapons and fuel loadout but still be within it performance envelop.

In mission editor, it doesn't seem possible to place the new Mi-24P Hind on a ramp start or hot ramp start on a carrier (Kutznesov)

Noticed that with a couple of weapon loadouts the total weight ot the Hind goes above a 100% (117 and 118%) Of course it's possible but I'm finding it a bit odd.

As the topic title says : In mission editor, I'm not able to place the new Mi-24P on a carrier (the Kuznetsov) I tried to create a simple cold start mission using Russian helicopters. No problem with putting the Mi-8 and the Ka-50 on the Kuznetsov (both as client) nut when you want to place the Mi-24P (start from ramp) it goes to the closest airport in the area.

So I'm practicing aerial refueling again. Now the thing is : i'm looking for actual aerial refueling speeds for different types of aircraft. I found the recommended refueling speed for a F-16C which is 310 knots Could someone tell me (if they know) what the speeds are for : A-10C AV-8B F-14 A/B F/A-18C And if someone know : are there speed differences per type when refueling from a different types of aircraft, like the S-3, KC-10 and KC-135MPRS.

Maybe it has bin asked before (if so sorry) I'm planning on buying the VPC Control Panel. Reason behind it: I'm using VR since a couple of months ago and I would like to go as "off keyboard" as possible. (I'm using a Thrustmaster Warthog and could stil use a lot of extra buttons, switches and dials) Thing is : Is the VPC Control Panle supported by DCS ? Any one know this ? (I think it's seen as a throttle ? )

So, I'm bin trying my hand at creating a kind of training mission with the Super Carrier mod and the new Syria map : but I'm kinda stuck... The idea was to let a S-3B tanker launch from cat 1 and 2 AI Hornet launch from cat 2 and 3. Okay, no problem. Yet for some reason the Hornet's don't want to launch when the S-3B is of the carrier (I don't understand why) Next idea was to get 2 AI Hornet to launch from cat 1 and 2 and let the S-3B tanker go from take off from ramp hot to cat 3. Only it keeps wanting to go to cat 1... Which it can't reach because me together and my wingman are in the way doing a cold start from ramp. So how do I get the S-3B to go from take-off from ramp hot to cat 3 ? PS : I'm still learning how to use mission editor aka I suck at it so, if you want to explain how I have to do this, keep it simple please :geek:
