  1. Thanks everyone for putting this into context for me. I'll re-do the mission using less complicated and shorter road loops, and use a proximity trigger to switch the units on when the users are closer to the AO, so that the ground units don't need to run for such a long time. Regardless, hopefully it helps ED if indeed there's some 'bloating' or other such data-doubling going on. In any case, thanks for such a quick, responsive and helpful forum!
  2. Hi, I'm creating a mission with many ground unit groups, all set to 'on road', with each having a fairly long path to follow (~2 hours or so), all on the Syria map - specifically Cyprus. Once I got to about 50 or so separate groups, I pressed save and got the error in the screen shot. When I click OK, I am presented with an empty map, as in screen shot 2, and the original file will no longer load - giving the same error if I try. I reloaded from a previous, successful save that had fewer units (about 48 groups) and tried again, adding the units 8 at a time. Same thing. Once I got to a certain number of ground groups the error returns, but only upon saving. I've tried it on a different computer too - same thing. I've attached a copy of the corrupted .miz as well. I'd be interested to know if anyone can open this miz file. Every time I try it gives the same error and then crashes. Don't know if its something peculiar to my install or something I'm doing wrong, or if indeed it's a bug. Looking forward to suggestions. Thanks in advance. GMT Training Template 2-1.miz
  3. The ED bought campaigns are not in your save game folder but in your DCS games files folder instead under /mods/campaigns. Hope that helps.
  4. Similar issue here initially, but I found that if i waited for Blade to take off first, then took off myself after him, then the mission worked fine. Hope this helps...
  5. Hi BD. First congrats to you, Hoser, Jello and the whole team on a fantastic campaign. Loving it so far. Raven One was a high water mark, and you've just reset it with DF. M08 Issues: 1- The target co-ords are wrong on the kneeboard notes. ----WARNING: Potential spoiler below!! 2- I've now tried M08 4 times and every time I form up with Redkite after he's hit the sim crashes. I usually catch him just after we pass over the first mountain peaks. It might be just my computer freaking out, but other missions and campaigns seem to work fine so i thought id mention it here and see if anyone else is having similar issues...?
  6. Thanks for the reply Greg, and for the workaround. However, there are three red marks on the map in the screenshot above. Does that mean there are 3 separate targets? or can i select whichever one? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi Again, Just finished the first dynamic mission - awesome fun! However at the end of the mission, the de-brief doesnt fit on the screen and the co-ords for my next mission strike target are not visible. Here's a screen shot... Probably wont matter much as my next flight will probably be a CAP but still, it'd be good to reduce the number of white space lines so more will fin for us VR users... Anyway, hope the feedback helps. Great campaign so far, love your work!! Another suggestion: How about putting the code matrix on a kneeboard page? Maybe you did and I just didnt see it? Cheers
  8. This campaign looks like it will be excellent. I love the ideas here, and cant wait to get started. Thanks for your efforts, I cant even begin to imagine the work thats gone on here! In the first mission scripted I noticed some small issues: Full labels seem to be forced ON. I can turn them completely off, however it would be good to be able to set them to 'dot only' mode for VR, or just follow whatever game preferences the user has set... Also, the radios. Left radio preset 1 was not set to the carrier as per the briefing, and also the radios seem to switch out of their presets and go to M (manual) channel when a comms event occors. About to go try the first 'proper' mission, strategic planning bug notwithstanding... Cheers and thanks!
