You should share your prompt to the AI

I use the registry key hack that varjo provided for foveated rendering... you do not need it but it gives me quite a big performance boost (think the high quality rendered area is smaller than the wide version by stock DCS
-
The headset requires SteamVR for tracking (with the base stations) so yes you do need SteamVR installed and make sure tracking works.

Oh crap, is that following the latest update DCS 2.9.10.3948 of 4th Dec or was it working before?
-
Even after latest update the channel selector bidding for pilot collective channel selection up/down is not working.... only goes up. Known issue?
-
Thks for that explanation . I learned something there
-
argh...well if under warranty send it back...otherwise learn to live with it I have one on my Aero but i only notice it on the loading black screen
-
interresting. It is the other way around for me between QVFR and DFR
-
definitely a dead pixel. U should not notice it once an image is projected though as it becomes hidden once other pixels light up...only on black screen will it be obvious
-
Ok got it. I will try it out. I am running max settings so should be pretty noticeable. I mostly fly Syria and incirlik area is pretty crowded but I am still much better with DFR than without over these FWIW

Really? At the same headline resolution? It only reduces resolution around the 'look area'... I can see how processing the eye tracking / quad view has an overhead cost but not sure how that would result is lower fps overall?
-
Foveated rendering is the next step above quad view....The area that is rendered in higher resolution follows your gaze. This way you always have high resolution where you look and peripheral is rendered in a lower resolution. It gives me about 30% more fps in the Aero as an example.

The small sweet spot of the G2 is the main drawback... Aero has a massive sweetspot and eye tracking and that is a major improvement... i would not go for a small sweetspot. Quest(s) always need the add-ons ... no need to even mention it; it is a given...comfort strap/balance/faceplate... oh and the cable!!.

People say the lenses of Q3 are really good. Buy from amazon or a retailer you can easily send back to if you don't like it and just try...best way to do it IMHO
