  1. Hey thanks Jona33 Another question. I know I'm supposed to delete the saved games folder, but is there anything else I need to get rid of for a clean install?
  2. I bought A-10c while it was on sale at Steam. I downloaded ver.1.0 from the ED site, and apparently it's now been updated to 1.1. It has been suggested to me that I download the full version instead of the patch. It now sets on my desktop ready to go. My question is: Do I need to deactivate version 1.0 before I uninstall it and re-install 1.1? If so how do I go about doing this? I don't want to waste an activation code if I don't need to. I'm still new at this sim, and I'm not looking forward to re configuring all the controls. Thanks.
  3. It should read: While taxiing: Do not open or close the canopy while turning.
  4. This is from the flight manual pg. 487  Move throttles forward slowly as required to start forward movement.  Use the rudder pedals to steer the aircraft left and right; do not use differential braking to steer.  Taxi speed should be between 15 and 25 knots.  While taxiing, the canopy should never be opened or closed while turning.  Use the toe brakes to slow and stop the aircraft. I'm so confused. What do I do? How do I turn the aircraft with the canopy opened? (or closed)
  5. Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have the same question as well. I discovered I can add a modifier switch and use my hat switch for other things as well. Right now I have my hat switch set for viewing, trim, and coolie. (Now if I can only figure out what a coolie is.) I would like to see how you guys that use this stick mapped your buttons. Any advice is helpful. P.S. TrackIR will be here Wednesday, so I need to figure out what to map to the hat switch instead of view controls.
  6. While going through the training missions, the instructor says press ESC to take over the aircraft. When I do I just go back to the main screen, and am unable to fly. I am playing FC2.
  7. Improvement I'd like to see A lot of us are tweakers and I find it very frustrating to have to quit a mission, because I want to change a button on my joystick. I would like to see a patch to let you configure your joystick in game. This being said on a personal note. I think this game is awesome. I had to give up Black Shark for a while, because of the difficulty. "Airplanes are so much easier to fly." Not that this game is any easier, so far it's a little less frustrating.
  8. Yeah, but I'm flying real/simulation mode with game avionics on. When I turn G.A off that's when joystick setting change.
  9. Why is it that when I turn off game avionics mode my joystick buttons change? I'm using a Thrustmaster T-flight HOTAS X, and have trouble programing some key to buttons. Then the problem when I click a couple of tick marks I have to re customize my controller.
  10. Sound advice I think I'll use. I have a coax rc heli, and I do get rotor clack when I turn to fast. Frankly it's easier to fly the rc than tihs sim/game.
  11. Just starting out in the first campaign. Deployment I think it is. Anyway, about eight minutes into the flight my aircraft starts to shake and break up, and then crash. Is this supposed to happen or am I just flying to hard? I know I wasn't fired on, but it seems to happen all the time.
  12. Appreciate the help. It's just a lot of stuff I got to read through, and I'm anxious to get flying.
  13. cool that worked. Is there anyway to start with the engines off?
  14. I'm trying to create a mission with nothing to do except start up, fly around, and land. I can add other aircraft, but when I click fly mission I'm not in my aircraft. What am I doing wrong? I need to practice start up and flying control before I go into battle. I did not buy this sim for the arcade mode so patience is a virtue . Any help or advice would be appreciated .
