That's what I'm thinking :( early Cold War jets are really nice in my opinion because they're chill and basic dogfighters with early missiles. Plus the F-13 is the most maneuverable MiG-21 and is radically different from the 21bis.

I was wondering if that's being worked on or not. I think it would be a very fun and chill aircraft to fly in servers dedicated to early cold war combat and it would be great versus an F-100 or early F-4 if those get added. That's because it had primitive avionics so in DCS it would be straight forward since you wouldn't have the need to manage quite a number of buttons. Your typical dogfighter! Also iinteresting for intercepting bombers. It's the sleekest-looking MiG-21, arguably the best one in visuals, the most maneuverable one and is very iconic. It's a "cult" model of the MiG-21 that served many nations and if added it will cover a big part of the early cold war stages (starting from 1959) as the MiG-21 we have is from 1972. Will be great also if maps from that time period will get added in the future such as Vietnam and/or a location based on the Six-Day War. Functions similarly to the MiG-19P. Perhaps we could also get it in two different mods, so that if you want to load missiles you would drop one cannon and load two R-3S, or vice versa and sacrifice the missiles to have both cannons!

Thank you!! I'll definitely check that out. It's very interesting that that the ML and MLA also had this retrofit. I had a heated debate with a person over whether the MLA could in fact load BVP-50-60s or not, I appreciate this information. What's the name of the book if I may ask? I'd really like to read it.

Question, is there conclusive proof that Soviet MiG-23MLAs were retrofitted with flare dispensers or is the model we're getting a mix; I know for example that Iraqi MLAs had ASO-2s?

I know I'm very late but is there conclusive proof that the MiG-23MLA was retrofitted with flares in Soviet service or is the one we're receiving a mix?
