  1. Affirm, sure you can get tone in the head on, but it won't track - only beginning to track if the target turns and gives it more of a side aspect, or kills them via the prox fuse if they fly in a straight line in the head-on.
  2. @Alpenwolf Almost forgot, on Search and destroy, seeing as the Fulcrums are limited to R-27s due to sharing the same field as the 21s, could the F-14s not have Aim-9s? They still get to carry 6 bleeding Aim-7Ms at the same time. On a separate note, once the Hind gets R-60Ms, would you consider adding the mistral gazelle to more missions? A few people on today voiced their opinion that it would be good to get people off the deck and make the Kub/Hawks more valid both to build and to neutralise.
  3. @Alpenwolf @Zachrixand I have routinely had issues with Zappbrannigain. Meanwhile today we had a player with no callsign teamkilling our ground units using the Tac commander slot. Allegedly you have access to the connects/disconnects list? Zach should be able to follow up with the screenshots he took at the time. Meanwhile, have you had any luck asking the 4YA or other server devs for help/copies of their scripts? Frequently on their discords they have dedicated script channels with chatter, examples and links for you to implement them.
  4. @Alpenwolf @Zachrix We had a guy yesterday sit in a fulcrum on the airfield for a little under an hour, and then simply leaving without having taken off once. We've had issues with him before and he keeps changing the first part of his callsign so no idea how easy it'll be to BLAMhammer. Any thoughts on making some of us admins such as @MarkMD?
  5. Didn't say he was teamkilling, just deliberately sabotaging the Fulcrum airframes by yeeting them into the ground. Also I can't tell if that's a display error or not that we only have 6 total available now? Could've sworn it's been 8, 10 or 12 in the past. Also, the trackfile exceeds attachment size.
  6. Maybe the R-3S simply proximity detonated if you flew in a straight line? Just because it won't track in a head-on, doesn't mean that it won't kill you if you fly in a straight line (I think). Yeah I saw that in Tacview, but you do see that it doesn't track for the majority of the time (straight smoke trail), and only turns at the last second when it's a side-aspect shot.
  7. @Alpenwolf After one-eleven was gracious enough to provide MiG-29s on Open Range and I was GCI, we had this slimy little guy burn through our MiG-29s by flying around and yeeting them into the ground. When I confronted him in chat, he told me to 'suck it' and to do my homework, probably not realising I left University years ago. Ban PeaceDog?
  8. Can't remember - are the M60A3s player-controllable? You thought about using the Leopard 1A3 instead of the M1A2? Also in two towns, Blue has M60s defending their FARP, whereas we only have BMPs. And as Zachrix said before, even the best ATGM we can get post-early access won't be able to pen the front of a goddamn 90s Abrams variant. It's just about balanced as it is thanks to Ka-50s on the red side, but on something like Prince of Persia where the Abrams are in more urban environments and the Ka-50s struggle, the difference in capabilities is huge in a 1-on 1,2,3 or more (and yes, that includes hiding the T-72s trying to ambush a column).
  9. @Alpenwolf Battle over sukhumi is still bugged - 2 Hueys spawned instantly at Sukhumi (neutral) and captured it before I even turned the second engine on in the Mi-8. Moreover I would assume they can still spawn at Sukhumi even when Red captures it, as has been seen on 2 different occasions.
  10. Not that we've seen or noticed. Only seen it happen 2-3 times on this Persian gulf lake and town mission. And agreed about the making it fair.
  11. How about changing it so neither side spawn with ground units, and the helis have to go and cap each one by bringing units from their FARPs?
  12. @Alpenwolf Looks like the ground units for Red side didn't spawn on mission start, again, at any lake or town.

  15. Before I forget, yesterday (on battle over sukhumi I believe), Blufor can spawn instantly in F-14s at mission start, Reds can't spawn in Fulcrums, yet the briefing says that the special slots should only be unlocked if the ships make it to the docks or not.
  16. Really? Just yesterday we completed 2 missions in one afternoon. Been seeing them completed at least once each day (slightly mission dependent). Would be nice if the mission didn't rotate once completed so we could enjoy the fruits of our labors. On another topic, you considered doing any 80s cold war missions with more fox-1s involved, so we get more than 95% MiG-21 vs F-5, with the occasional Fulcrum and tomcat spice?
  17. Aww man, and here I was yesterday saying how nice it is to be able to enjoy the Fulcrum even though we completed the objectives. Means I can actually do some A2A rather than always playing the objectives...
  18. I think the A model we currently have is a late one. There should be a 14A early model coming, and an Iranian early 14A too. Also, any chance to ban this guy (Tmoney)? I don't think I've seen a more deliberate teamkill (I was flying straight trying to kill the Viggen, no other friendlies in my front arc), and both Zachrix and I have had issues with this guy when we've been in 29s and 21s. He checked in on comms when I GCI'd for a couple hours, never bothered to call fox or IFF (even though I have 2 tails and the enemy didn't have Tomcats slotted, and I'm not a supersonic A-10 at altitude). He went real quiet and zero apology.
  19. So I have the Rift, and whenever I launch DCS standalone, VRnecksafer doesn't seem to recognise the window (either in Oculus home, nor DCS). In the SteamVR menu, I see necksafer working. Added the lines to force steamVR in a DCS shortcut (which it appears you need to have running for Necksafer to work), but I get the steam AND oculus overlays over DCS. Any easy way to minimise these or can I only do it with the controller?
  20. Yeah, I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong - have the rift, standalone DCS beta, Necksafer starts steamVR, but I can't seem to get the autorotation to trigger. Tips?

  23. Just cleared like 35Gbs from a light cleaning of a bunch of useless liveries. They still haven't removed the Hawk as a core module, and for those of us that don't do WW2, please give us the option to opt out of downloading them.
  24. Might depend on the reproducibility of ping at that time of contact. Regardless, I think it's a minor change that would make 20+ minute long trips not a complete waste of time if the crate decides to shit itself through the floor. Would certainly reduce the feeling of imminent screen-empunchening, and you're still doing 99% the same thing.
  25. Ok, can we change it to make the secondary airfield neutral and just has to be captured with CTLD troops to activate them, rather than rely on the oversensitive liberal arts major that is the crate that explodes at the slightest contact microaggression?
