Well that's going to P***off the "Boss" in the morning, looks like I'll be on bread and water for a month and sleeping in the dog kennel....!!!! PURCHASED !

For all you fans of the "IRON TADPOLE" ..... Modelled and UV'd in Wings 3d. Textures created in Paintshop Pro Rendered in Lumion 7.5. Has any one else spotted the fact the Aircraft Id. flown by Grafton and Cole in the Movie was "Devil 505" and not "506" as depicted in the screen shots and trailer? Enjoy

Request: Generic, multiplayer-suitable paintschemes
Rockape replied to xvii-Dietrich's topic in F4U-1D
Hi... oops missed this post for some reason.. In general the FAA and RAF guidelines are one and the same, as they were Air Ministry orders/Instructions to standardize colours and markings and even camo-schemes across all services. Hope this helps. -
Hi... As per my reply to Previous... It's a rendering issue the Game engine and Model viewer must use the same render engine in that case, any numerous things from in game graphic settings to GPU type can cause this type of artefacts, it's a trade off between quality and render speed in most cases and really only shows up in still images.

Hi.. Sure looks like pixelation caused by the viewer renderer which I suspect is a lower quality than used in game, rather than anything to do with the textures. A sort of preview rendering.

Thanks Bozon, Enjoyable read. Nice History Channel Documentary on You Tube WWII Documentary: The Mosquito | The Legendary Aircraft Of WWII - YouTube also: The Wooden Planes That Terrorised The Luftwaffe | Battlefield Mysteries | Timeline - YouTube Here's an excellent read if you can get it: Mosquito Attack!: A Norwegian RAF Pilot at War. by Finn Eriksrud (Author), Tor Idar Larsen

Tried to put together a reference chart for WWII RAF (Allied) Aircraft Colours using digital colour codes (RGB, #HEX & CMYK) referenced from British and Federal Standard Colour names and codes for the era. Source references: British Aviation Colours of World War Two - Arms and Armour Press. British Standards. Federal Standards 595B. Air Ministry Orders - 1939/45. MAP Standard Aircraft Colours 1939/45. RAF_Digital_Colours.pdf

Yup... that's got to be one of my pet hates in a Sim the use of incorrect Insignia and Font..... Just needs a little effort too research the matter. I use this guide when texturing Models..

If I said I was a huge fan of the "Wooden Wonder" it would be an under-statement and It feels like an eternity since the first rumours/announcement that ED would be creating the DH98 like so many here I can hardly contain my anticipation. So here's some motivational images of the First and Greatest Multirole aircraft ever built (That's my personal opinion BTW) All Images are my own creation, Model created in Wings 3d and Rendered in Lumion 7.5.
