  1. I got so tired of hitting the space bar while in VR (I don't normally have my keyboard handy at all) that I made a voice command in VoiceAttack (which I use along with Vaicom, would highly recommend!). So now I just say "Spacebar" and it presses space. I guess I could change it to something that sounds cooler, like "Check", but the point is it made the campaign a lot easier in VR, and is actually great in any other missions like training that use spacebar.
  2. This campaign forced me* to actually learn how the AAR, and I'm very pleased that I did so. Now I would say it's not difficult at all, and I find myself gassing up in nearly every mission where the opportunity presents itself, probably much like a real fighter pilot would. It went from extremely stressful (and impossible) to now relaxing. The same is true for all other aspects of flying and fighting the Hornet; some of which are very intimidating at first glance. Dedicate the time to learning and practicing and they become second nature. *Actually, forced is not fair. I purchased the campaign, but then knew that being able to competently fly the F/A-18C was expected of me, and so I dedicated time and effort to learning the required skillset before commencing. Baltic's approach of making AAR optional (save function, fuel management) is wonderful, and very generous to new players.
  3. I had the same problem (unable to see them at all, NVG's useless in VR). Instead I depend solely on the A2G Radar in SEA mode. I run in, pick a target, and hit it with a salvo, then back out. Plus, the radar seems to give me the target's heading/aspect and speed, so that I can lead with the rockets. I assumed this must be how the Hornet was intended to be employed in this mission. So far I have not completed this mission due to life interrupting me near the end (almost made it back to the boat 3x times and keep having to stop playing), but have been able to whittle down the fast movers pretty effectively several times. Typically we've cleaned up all but 2-3, last time there was only one left when I went winchester on rockets and 20mm. Great mission Baltic, I'm thoroughly enjoying this campaign, it's driven me to really learn the Hornet and become a better DCS pilot!
  4. Would anyone happen to have the dimensions of the full panel once assembled?
  5. Sky, incredible work! There's no chance you would consider releasing the files for your console panels? I assume you did them yourself, they're beautiful!
