I am not sure if you have heard, but on the ED discord after an interview and some confusion on if an F-4 phantom was coming or if they were talking about an F-4U they mentioned on the discord that the phantom was coming, but it was not them at ED doing it.

I found this picture of what I think to be a Mirage F1 EE it is mounted with a Thomson-CSF ELINT pod on the center line

I am really hyped for this module as well

I could see them adding the R-530F on one of the later versions of this plane like the EE or something. The R-530F is much more capable and dangerous then the original R-530 from a book I have called Iraqi Mirages in Combat by Miguel Garcia it shot down multiple aircraft including F-5s F-4 phantoms and even a few F-14 tomcats.

I mean this module is already going to be very cool, but Exocet Operations on the PG map would be lots of fun if only the expanded it into Iraq and Kuwait

Some people may argue that an EQ would just be another guided weapon truck, but from the book I got the vast majority of missions were done with dumb bombs dropped in CCIP or CCRP or even just dumb dropped. The only large scale use of guided weapons was primarily in the tanker war with Exocets, but the option of being able to have BAZAR missiles and As-30Ls would be pretty cool.

I recently picked up a book called Iraqi Mirages in Combat a Story of the F1-EQ in Iraq by Miguel Garcia and I got to say if they ever make more versions of the Mirage F1 after the Spanish ones I think they should make some of the EQ series if they can get the data because it is a really cool aircraft from the stories I have read.

It would make sense for heat blur to do it ngl. They already made the tomcat another twin seat carrier based aircraft.

Considering that the C-101 has the Sea eagle missile I would assume that the Mirage F-1M variant which has been confirmed would probably get the Exocet. The radar on this version upgraded from older versions to be compatible with the Exocet. Spain never used the Exocet, but in the event a war ever broke out it would have been very likely that they would have imported some from France.

In DCS precision guided weapons is kind of the only way to be effective any vehicle with armour or fortification. Splash damage is something yet to be seen in DCS. You pretty much have to hit the tank with the bomb to kill it. I have had instances were I have dropped a mk 84 on a T-55 and had the tank in the crater of the bomb with no damage whatsoever to the tank.

we are just past the 3 month mark since we last had a large announcement about this project they did mention more recently that the C-101 was in its final version state and all hands would be on the F1, but since then its just been radio silence.

Lmao so true I saw people on forums out for blood after the hind was delayed.
