Bignewy I see that you react to my post. As you have understood, for me the big downside of DCS is precisely the big black boxes in VR. Currently I no longer update DCS and use an earlier version. I will be delighted to be able to give a constructive opinion on DCS updates but currently with the OFF option which does not work this is not the case. I am not against the new spotting dots, on the contrary. But imagine, I update DCS and the system does not work yet, no worries, I deactivate it and continue to enjoy DCS. The day it works ''Wow'' I keep it. it seems so simple to understand.

The next update seems to be here soon and I have no illusions. Mid-range systems will be out of the game unless you lower the settings once more. I don't think it's possible to find an adjustment to spotting dots for all systems and VR headsets. ED doesn't seem to want us to be able to deactivate them. some will be privileged ? Pimax ? You are wasting your time. ED is in a logic in which our request is not part. What's more, they don't even have the kindness to respond.

Why should I change my settings which were working very well. It was beautiful and fluid, I couldn't ask for more. And now it is...... My VR headset and video card didn't magically transform. Having the choice not to use this technology is all I ask for. Me and many others.

I use a 4128x2112 72Hz résolution with my quest 2. x1.3 in oculus tray tools, no asw. MSAx2 ,Textures High, Visibility High, Sharpening 0.4 and dots OFF in DCS With the last update, dots are awfuls. I rollback to 2.9.5.55918 and everything is much better. I am convinced that the new spotting dots is a mistake, but those who are of the same opinion will never be heard.

I have read many of your posts and I don't understand why you seem to think that users are not satisfied with the new spotting dots only because they would lose an advantage over others. nothing could be further from the truth. There are those who fly solo, those who fly in squadrons only among themselves. Those who fly in multiplayer and are looking for something other than maximum Fornite-style kills. Don't be reductive in your comments, for me who is in the first category and who likes to fly in the evening after work, currently DCS is terrible.

Most people want a simple dot spotting off function. Is this technically possible or not ? Wouldn't deactivating the spotting dot option be like having a different version of DCS and therefore incompatible with the one using the option?
