  1. In the first campaign mission, there is first a message that says to "keep IAS above 500 knots." Then there is another message that says "do not exceed 500 kts." It doesn't seem to me like both of these can be correct. The first turn you have to make is way too sharp to make at 500 kts, and there is no way the JF-17 can slow down enough in time to make the turn if you are already going 500 kts. I was able to complete this first section of the mission by immediately slowing down to 350 kts when the mission starts and maintaining that through the turn.
  2. I was experiencing this too, certain parts of the cockpit were in English and other parts were in Russian.
  3. It should be, I just tried downloading and it worked for me. I posted here right after I had updated the file, so maybe it wasn't ready right away or something.
  4. Update: Now includes notification sound that plays when any message appears during a mission. I created the sound using Bfxr. I hope you find it helpful!
  5. The story itself is fairly contrived. I was more focused on just finding an area of the map I could use to create interesting missions between two airfields. The space between Tiyas and Palmyra has a good number of unique landmarks, so I tried to find a way where I could come up with different battles that take place at different points logically between the two ends. Creating believable geopolitical conflicts between real nations in Syria is not really a skill I have, but I am happy with the missions I was able to come up with.
  6. Update: War for Palmyra has now been translated into Spanish by azzameen! The campaign download link has been updated. Changes should only be noticeable when running DCS in Spanish.
  7. Honestly, I agree. The message box that appears in the top right is too small and easy to miss. I did think of the audio cue idea, but I ended up opting for the simpler workaround of making the messages stay on screen for a little longer. At first I had them display for 10 seconds, and that was way too short. I ended up having most messages stay for I think 20 seconds, and mission complete for 100 seconds. But yeah, if I ever figure out how to do the audio cue and find a good sound for it, that would be a good update to make.
  8. No worries. There are no voice lines in the campaign, only messages that appear at some points to give the player important information, usually when friendly ground vehicles start moving and when a mission is complete.
  9. Hello, I am posting here to let you know about an AH-64D campaign I recently finished creating. Feel free to comment with any feedback or problems you have, or a neat experience you had during one of the missions. Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3323051/ "In this fictional campaign, Syrian forces have invaded and occupied the city of Palmyra and set up their main base of operations at the nearby airfield. Since then, they have rapidly pushed west and have taken control of several towns and oil refineries. You will play as an AH-64D pilot with a pivotal roll to play in stopping the Syrian invasion and, if you succeed, taking back Palmyra. Strap in for a variety of mission scenarios and objectives, from supporting friendly vehicles as they assault enemy positions to evading SAM launches while making a precision strike deep in enemy territory. If you pass a mission, friendly forces will attack during the next mission and attempt to push forward toward Palmyra. Your aircraft will start cold and you will have as much time as you want to prepare. If you fail a mission, enemy forces will attack and push toward your airfield at Tiyas during the mission that follows. Your aircraft will start hot and you will need to takeoff quickly to intercept the enemy. Each mission has four different preset variations of time and weather, along with some randomness in the amount, positioning, and skill of many units. If you have to replay a mission during the campaign, you may find it a bit of a different experience! The campaign includes 16 total unique missions, although if you only ever win missions and never go back a stage you will only see 7 of them. No radio manipulation skills are needed for this campaign, as you will only ever need to communicate with your wingman, and the radio will already be set up for that. However, expect challenging combat. Good luck pilot. Many lives are counting on you. REQUIRED MODULES: AH-64D, Syria Map"
  10. @toutenglisse, I was able to make the mission work correctly using your suggestions. It seems like having a mission goal to add points if the mission points reached a certain value may have been causing problems. As you said, the goals awarding 0 points were causing problems as well, although that was just for testing and demonstration purposes. So, I have learned from this to put the minimal amount of game logic possible into the mission goals in order to make them work. Thank you very much for your help!
  11. I have been having a very bizarre experience with the Mission Goals. Just yesterday, I was working in the attached mission and no matter what I did, I could not get the mission to award any points at all. I had triggers that would display a message, and the exact same condition used in the mission goals would not award points. So, I had the trigger set flags to on, and then I checked if they were true in the mission goals, and it still did not award points. Then I tried increasing the flag value and checking if the value was more than 0, and that didn't award points either. Today, I tested the same things, and now I end up with 100 points no matter how many points the mission goals award. I can set a flag on, have the mission goal check for flag is true, set it to award 1 point, and I end the mission with 100 points when only that mission goal triggers. I have absolutely no idea what is going on. I know that mission goals are supposed to add or subtract the number of points you indicate, and I know about 0-49 = defeat, 50 = stalemate, 51-100 = victory. But the things that it has been doing in this mission file should not be happening. The mission goals have worked fine for me in other missions I have made. missionGoals.miz
