Thanks, this is a new build, Win 11, Asus Prime-A, I9 12900K, 32gb DDR5, everything default. I installed all the updates for the MB, & flashed the BIOS, (after BIOS update the problem went away for 3 days). Dealing with this problem I haven't had a chance to think about overclocking. Strange thing to me is, core speed increases to 5ghz when playing a game according to cpu-z. I checked the BIOS, & don't see any boost enabled. Please keep in mind I'm not that skilled in computer building, tweaking. Also, I had this setup running on Win 10, with no freeze problem.

I just installed Win 11, everything runs fine, except I get random screen freezes, even when idle. I'm not short on ram, tried various nvidia drivers , did every test in CMD window I could find, but no help. This doesn't happen during any game, mostly just doing non intensive things, or idle.

Thanks guys, I don't think I'll mess with the registry though. If I have problems I'll just have to do a reinstall, (hope not).

I've seen information here that it's just a copy/paste, but what about the part under "saved games", does that rebuild, or copy/paste also ?

Thanks, just gets a little confusing when you can't get the kit you want for a particular MB.

Are memory kits matched? If I wanted 64gb, but couldn't find any in a kit, would two 32gb kits work just as well, as long there the same of course ?

Ok, with my limited knowledge in pc hardware, is DDR 5 better than DDR4, just on performance ( not price) for flight sims?

I've read, some say 3080ti is better for flight sim gaming than 3090, which is confusing to me, when the 3090 has 2x memory...comments?

I have the realtus pad, & found out recently that UWVEditor in SSA doesn't work for this pad, only gametrix jetseat. I'm told that UWVEditor files can be manually edited. Anyone know exactly how to do this?
