  1. I think they are might be gonna announce a new module or hint towards one. Cos the rest of the module team like the 3D artists arent gonna be doing much with the Viper or the AH-64D
  2. You can play DCS with a Keyboard and mouse as well. One advantage being the amount of binds you can have. But I have been flying with keyboard and mouse since the start of playing DCS. I really do support the sentiment of getting as many people into DCS, more revenue allowing for the ED and 3rd party teams to expand or other 3rd parties getting interested in developing for DCS. Plus we get more players and more servers getting more people on them.
  3. Im just gonna post this about my experience with the Tomcat, I mainly fly the hornet and play with guys in my squadron I also own the Tomcat. I have spent more time as the RIO than as the Pilot for the Tomcat. I fly around a bit in the Hornet more people join in on the fun and someone needs a RIO I switch over and backseat for them. From reading the main angle people are looking at is the use case scenario of having a crew license of having a friend who wants to start out and just wants to RIO, which is a very possible scenario the person who told me to get the Tomcat had experience in doing that with a friend of his. To me having a crew license is about saving money and added convenience. I fly around in my hornet Spamramming as usual on growling, my friends jump on I backseat and that's it. Crew licenses really get their charm from MP and its definitely a really nice thing to have. I sorta understand why people are listing reasons of why it wont happen and what's the point, but this forum thread has a name "wishlist" its a wish and nice thing to have as an addition and the op is providing a possible implementation that ED could carry out. Saying things like "it wont happen cos multiplayer is small" or "it would not be profitable" the only people who can say if it can or can not happen is ED. But also understand all of this from an angle of an interesting debate minus the odd replies. Crew licenses would save my wallet pretty much it.

You sorta get all of this with a mission script called Skynet IADS doing all the thing you have mentioned above, with the added bonus of detecting HARM missiles and the site turning itself off in order to trash the HARM. This is just with a simple config but there is alot of configuring you can do to change how thing happen or force certain behaviors from certain SAM types, like making the SA-10 to be always on where as the rest of the IADS remains quiet. But from experience of using it is much better than the vanilla experience but the way its all done is let down by the fact it has to use the DCS SAM AI so having native implementation would be great. But still the Skynet IADS script is very good and much better than the vanilla experience. Had one SA-10 run out of ammo so it turned off, the people playing my mission assumed it was destroyed until it turned it self back on 30 or so mins later when it was rearmed.
  5. I want templates for structures, and static objects. The unit tab only has 2 bunkers and a outpost. Doesnt include things like factory buildings or ammo crates.
  6. Since starting to learn mission making and editing, I've encountered a lot of frustration due to the lack of some quality of life features. A for example undo would be nice but I haven't found that a major issue with my mission making but I'm sure other people would appreciate the addition. Down below is gonna be a list of when I think and the people I have discussed with have mentioned would be nice to have. 1. Drag Selection. For me this make placing and also copying large amounts of static objects a lot easier as I can design one detailed farp and place it anywhere, the current way of being able to copy a farp is having to hold shift and left click on each individual object and if you miss click you have to start all over again. Drag box would be nice. 2. Object templates. The current static templates are good, loads the objects at their predetermine location and so setting up the same kind of missions is easy but having a template system to the current Unit templates, mainly used for SA sites would be great. Again being able to set up a farp then save it as a template, then just left click where I want it, also other things like setting up a command post or ammo dumps. Allows going into any map and setting up templates so you can easily quick reference them when putting missions together. 3. Arma 3 Eden editor. A 3D editor would be nice. 4. Change Coalition of all objects in selection/Modify values of all objects in the selection. Basically held shift click on a bunch of objects went to change the coalition of all the objects I had selected it deselected the entire selection (which is a pain cos no drag box) and only changed the coalition of the last object I shift left clicked on. Be being able to modify values of all objects in the selection would be nice. 5. Object groups. Like unit groups but for objects, main advantage of this would be that if you move one thing the rest of it moves with it. Combine this with the other features stated above it would make a very powerful and a lot less tedious feature set for the editor. Aside from the 3D editor these features would be very helpful and will help get more people into mission making or editing missions that they play. This is all I can think of for the time being as of posting but if people who reply mention anything good I'll add it to the list with proper credit and mentions. If I do add any idea to the list from someone else and feels like I haven't mentioned or credited them properly just message me. ED you got a pretty good game.
