I was playing around with settings on options page as seen below and got the PTT working. (YEA ) The changes that i think made it work 1) moved to Dynamic Switching 2) switched on Auto Switch works as before but the Kneeboard now doesn't load, i have posted of the response after keyword " Kneeboard "

My PTT function was working fine then an update back in December stopped my PTT function to work. I have the pro version with Kneeboard and all the other modules. I have been trying to get the PTT function working, I use a button on my HOTAS for TX4 Press/TX4 Release with easy communications. I tried Hot Mic but then Kneeboard didn't. work. I have tried all different settings, but can’t get the PTT button to work on my HOTAS, I had it working before the update. I have tried going thru Discord you can see my posts under name " Rubber Biscuit " for history It’s been a long time not working and I would love to get this working again. I use only VR and getting Viacom working is important to me.

I would like to change all over to beta, not Shure how to move all my stuff modules/campaigns/maps without downloading again and do I have to redo all the bindings. Don't have enough room for both.

Has there been a date set for the release to the Stable version of DCS.

My PTT function was working fine then a update back in December messed up my PTT function. I have been trying to get the PTT function working, I use a button on my HOTAS for TX1 Press/TX1 Release. I have tried all different settings, I now got it to open mic and transmit but button release does nothing. Under VA Options/Hotkeys tab I see a Listening for Toggle Listening start/stop Button option can this be used ? Would a un-instill and reinstall fix my problem

Hello: I purchased the complete Vaicom package and it has been working perfectly. After last the update to Vaicom I am having trouble with Vaicom. If I say Kneeboard or Take(number) as in DCS coms menu I get " Command 'kneeboard' is currently disabled for this session and was not executed." OR " Command 'take 5' is currently disabled for this session and was not executed. I also had the push to talk button on my HOTAS stop working, I tried remapping the button and all looks correct the button just has no effect. I got around this by turning on the hot mic setting. Thanks. If I was to reload Vaicom how do I reset my Vaicom license. Thanks Alex Conrath

did a reload on Headset firmware and sound now works

The Winwing Orion will sit higher on the desk then the Thrustmaster, I found it a little to high to be comfortable so i made some desk clamps to lower the Orion HOTAS. There are other HOTAS desk top clamps you can purchase to do the same thing. I also found that the Orion needs to have a secure mounting, more than the suction cups that come with the Orion. That all said i found the Orion a huge upgrade over the Thrustmaster T16000 HOTAS, ps: I have hade 5 Thrustmaster T16000 joysticks fail on me over the last 3 years, all in the twist function.

1) when going to WP2 and doing the first refuel is there a tacan number for the tanker ? 2) I got a little confused about the radio changes after the first refuel, I think there was a call for Red and Blue. are these channels ? i just had a hard time following the radio channels to stay the active channel.

I have not used any stick but Thrustmaster t16000, I do like the Orion HOTAS but I find the stick springs a little on the heavy side. I still like using the Orion but would like it if the springs were a little lighter, I would upgrade to lighter springs in they were available.

In the last 3 years i went thru 4 Thrustmaster T16000m Joysticks, all stopped working in the stick twist function. I played mostly with Elite Dangerous in VR then after the ED Odyssey mess I found DCS " DCS in VR is great". when the 4th Thrustmaster started to fail and the price of the T16000m like doubled I got the Orion set. Very happy with it so far ( about 6 months). For the life of me I could not do in air refueling with the Thrustmaster but found it doable with the Orion Joystick, there is a huge difference between the plastic HOTAS and the Metal types. I believe the Orion HOTAS is a good value for a high end HOTAS setup. One thing about the Orion is it will sits too high on most deck tops to be comfortable to use, you may want to thing about a way to lower the HOTAS. I made wood offset clamps to lower the HOTAS, you can also purchases lowering systems.

Trying to do the campaign, Hornet 1989 task force challenge but the cloud cover is all the way to the ground making air to ground impossible. Is there a way to edit the mission cloud cover.

Un-plug error update I got in touch with WinWing about the error and they got back to me within 24 hours and suggested to reset the pcb cable inside of the joystick base. at first inspection the connector looks properly seated, but went ahead as instructed. I first carefully removed the dab of glue on the connector that held in place then reset the connector. this seems to have fixed the problem, have now about 10 hours without any unplug errors. as before getting one about every 20 minutes. Big thanks to WinWing for their quick response.

I found MY WinWing Orion a bit to high on the desk to so i made some clamp on's to lower and get rid of the suction cups Just used some 3/8 plywood, works great

Just got the Orion hotas and finding the joystick a little on the stiff side when moving to full turn movement area. Is there a adjustment to lighten the Joystick tension, has anyone made any adjustments. The suction cups are not strong enough to hold down past about 50% stick movemant.

Just got Orion Hotas setup and loving life. Started to get A/F18 suddenly doing hard 90 deg roll and getting message of joystick unplugged, sometimes i can correct and keep going. Only lasts a couple of seconds ,Checked USB connection, all looks good. I am using VR with Voice attack, anyone seeing this

Seems I found out the what was keeping kneeboard from working, After pushing the PTT button i was leaving it on and giving multiple commands. If i turn it off after every command and back on for the next command it works fine. So push to turn on give command re-push turn off. Is there a way to have it work like Push and hold button give command and release button to close. So it works like " push & hold to talk then release to close not push for on...... talk,...... and push to close.

Just got Vaicom Pro and purchased the bundle, got it all working, the Kneeboard loads up fine but when calling any tab the Kneeboard closes. I am using the correct words link Anvil, Show Notes and Sarge, just get a beep and Kneeboard closes.
