  1. I checked out your suggestion of DAP settings and it will decrease the size but only by a few percent. Still the image overlays a lot of the cockpit area. I guess this is a VR issue where the image is too close to the users point of view.
  2. I am using a Vive Pro ( 1 ) and seeing a very large IHADSS image, picture doesn’t show the size as in headset. looking at the image on the screen it looks ok but through the headset it imposes over the helicopter and larger then the monocle. Any news needed settings or work arounds.
  3. I am planning on upgrading my system soon going for a RTX4090, here’s my thoughts. my current system if 4 years old and has a ton of programs with a bunch of Steam stuff. I have a lot of configuration of DCS, Voice attack, pedal software to redo. I have a long list of programs that I need to reload and configure, find and redo software user keys. So I am heavily thinking to go with AMD 7000 series to not have to go through this anytime soon. how great would it be to just drop in a newer CPU without all the hassle of configuring a new system To save a little for a outdated platform that needs to be completely replaced in the next update is just not worth it to me, plus all the hours and work to setup and get working again,
  4. Being a VR user of a mid power system 2080it Vive Pro 1 and trying to get decent fps would be standing on a big soap box jumping up and down if there was a update that would jive me a boost in VR performance. I do appreciate that DCS is moving forward with game improvements but improving game performance would be a huge help to all users.
  5. The 2.8 update cut my fps in half making it almost unplayable for 2080ti with Vive pro that ran ok with 2.7 around 70-90 fps with med to low settings. I am going back to 2.7, would be nice to be able to switch off new weather in 2.8
  6. Thanks for the info. already started the downgrade as above minus the “ @openbeta “ bit, seems to be working
  7. I running a RTX-2080ti with Vive Pro and my fps has dropped almost in half with 2.8. is there a easy way to go back to 2.7 ?
  8. This is one of the better explanations of how CPU’s get bound-up.
  9. This graph means very little, because there is no reference to any specific gaming data. Each game will score differently depending on game, too bad DCS doesn’t get much attention from the hardware testing YouTubers.
  10. If AMD want’s people to adopt the new platform then they should release to 7000 x3d chip now. I don’t want to wait 6 months so I may go for a Intel 13 gen because of cheeper over all cost.
  11. Looks like the CPU is having trouble keeping up. a little optimization could provide a huge boost to fps
  12. This is good info thanks for posting. this will help us all when building up around a new RTX-4090 what percentage of load did your gpu get to.
  13. The next VR improvement will have to be eye tracking where the the rendering is mostly done where the eyes are looking. I don’t see hardware improvements increasing VR fps for sometime over the current offerings.
  14. For those lucky ones that got a 4090 already, the cards seem to be out of stock for now. what is your power supply solution, did you need to upgrade and how much power are you rocking.
