  1. No worries, was just wondering. Haven't flown it yet, but it looks really well done on you not doing Coop versions
  2. Any update on this? Both my buddy and I have it installed, I would like to host the missions so we can fly as a crew
  3. So I have everything more or less sorted out, both MFCDs show pretty much where they are supposed to. However, now everytime I bring up my kneeboard for the first time I have to resize it, and put it back into the corner of my main display. It shows up much larger, and half on my main diosplay and half on my lower right MFCD. Is there a file I can edit or a setting I can change to make this come up on the bottom right corner of my main display (same position if I was using a single display), and not as large? Main display is 1920x1080 with 2 x 800x600 MFCDs below L and R corner EDIT: Ok Darkdiz, READ THE THREAD!!!!!!
  4. Ya, I sat in the jet for a bit with it forward and a PH loaded, didn't get the MSL COND light. Tried again with it AFT, got the light. Trial and error, but at least I know
  5. Sigh, problem is now, there is no way of knowing WHICH cooling mode you are in. All of the documentation I have seen does not indicate if the FWD switch is AWG-9 only or is it AWG-9 AND AIM-54? Or is that the AFT switch? I can't remember
  6. The bindings are SNAP views to whatever camera position you want. Remember though, you must disable any head-tracking you have, or you aren't gonna have much fun setting these up. I have them setup for my A-10C2 as well as my F14 RIO pit, they work like a charm. I use just the keyboard to move the camera to where I like it for a specific view, then hit RALT KP0 to save it. The I bind that view (LWIN whatever KP) to whatever button on the joy/thr I like (I have mine on the coolie hat, no modifier for the RIO, alt function for the A-10).
  7. Looks that way, like they reverted to an earlier cockpit textures version. Same thing applies to the TID AVIA CAP button. In DL, it still says TID AVIA on CAP 7, but now says CHAFF COUNT on CAP 8, USED to say something like ACLS? Procedure is (was) on approach to the carrier, tune the DL to the carrier, then in CAP DL press CAP 8 to start the AVIA routine, then when the CAP 8 arrow stopped flashing after a few seconds, press what is now the CHAFF COUNT button (CAP 9) to lock it in and enable the ILS display on the TID without errors. The FUNCTION still works, but it is incorrectly labelled on the CAP DL page
  8. ... is no longer labelled in the aircraft, looks like it has worn off. Is this on purpose?
  9. Even in the General layer (I didn't see it in the UI layer), the Screenshot function seems to be un-bindable to anything else except the keyboard, where it is greyed out. So I cannot bind that particular keypress to anything
  10. I think the response above is the right one, as IMHO the screenshot is a game-ting, and the Capture Image button is something completely different. I'll have a look at the MSG page next time I'm in my hawg and see if its a thing or not (hopefully it is!)
  11. So after MUCH testing and fiddling around, it turns out that the rudder pedals are occasionally triggering the complete freeze, it looks suspiciously like some sort of grounding issue. Still working on a fix, but at least I have a better idea of what is going on.
  12. In the several guides I have seen, including Chuck's Guide and the ED A-10C II Manual, there is a control listed for "Capture Image" under Left Throttle Button - Long. Is this still a thing? If so, how does it work? I press it, nothing happens. Does it take a screenshot? If so, where does it get stored? What exactly does it do?
  13. On most of my planes, with the noted exception of the F-14 Pilot and RIO, the Screenshot keyboard binding (Print Scrn/Sysrq key) is greyed out. On the F-14 I can assign it to any one of my peripherals (MFD Cougar, spare button on joy/thr or whatever) but on the rest of my planes it cannot be bound to anything other than the greyed-out keyboard. I find it handy to be able to take a pic without hunting for it on the keyboard (prefer to keep my hands on the controls) I have FC-3, A-10CII and F-14, the F-14 is the only one that this can be bound to another key. Any suggestions?
  14. Well, seems like for whatever reason there is a setting buried deep in the CDU which turns toggles the course indicator (I found it while digging about in the CDU pages). It had the HSI Course as "****" and an OFF indication. I played with the buttons, got it turned on, it came up as 130.2 (I was actually on the ground after landing IN the mission and the voice-over started right away). Interesting, I have found MANY similar instances of obscure, little-documented settings affecting the game like this. Also, seems that this setting stayed as set when I went to other missions. I'm in the process of finding out if other settings remain, such as HMCS occlusions etc
  15. I never got to the accel time, but set the autopilot once I got turned to 232 (heading given by ATC). I'll keep trying
  16. Wouldn't be surprised. The jet just keeps on trucking in a straight line on a 232 heading (the one I'm told to fly by Batumi ATC) at 8000'. Maybe it doesn't like that I have the ALT/HDG hold on?
  17. After inserting the RWY heading into the ADI (VO calls for RWY 13, it is actually 12, RWY hdg 119, its also incorrect on the CDU), the simulation VOs stop. The course wheel stays highlighted, but the plane just keeps on going (fully controllable, but the VOs cease). It seems a trigger for the subsequent VOs are either missing or corrupted. I have tried loading in various course headings to try and trigger the VOs, but no joy. 130 visible in the window, 119, 126, 139 and all in between don't seem to work. Space bar on completion also does not work. I'm following EXACTLY what the VO says leading up to this point.
  18. There used to be 2 buttons required to get the ACLS display on the TID, one (CAP Btn 4?) said TID AVIA, still does. The second (CAP 9?) now says CHAFF COUNT, but still needs to be pressed to avoid an error (RCL?) on the TID. Pretty sure it said something other than CHAFF COUNT, but can't remember. Procedure is to press TID AVIA once the proper DL freq and ACLS is set, the select arrow will flash for a few seconds, then press what is now CHAFF COUNT for localizer and glodeslope indications on the TID. Is this still a "thing"?
  19. I noticed the ARC-159 issue in October
  20. Thankyou sir, appreciate the answer
  21. Just discovered the "Rescan Input Devices" button. Works to get both lights back and full head tracking
  22. So if I make an autoexec.cfg file (in notepad ++), and copy paste the above into it, save it, which folder would it go into?
  23. I think I figured it out, logged onto the DCS Website, checked My Servers under my profile, was able to get the GUI to come up with the correct info
  24. Unfortunately, it doesn't answer my questions. Digging fairly deep into the thread, (and others) it mentions an autoexec.cfg file, which seems to be the magic file where I can tell the server which ports to use. When I checked on my laptop DServer install, there was no such file, because the base game is NOT installed there, only the DServer. On the desktop, the file is found in the DCS.openbeta/config (saved games) folder. Looking in that file, there was nothing to suggest that this particular file has anything to do with server ports. I appreciate you answering so quickly. Still not sure how to do this (I have it working on my desktop, but REALLY would like to run the web gui from my laptop). Diz
  25. Hi: I want to have DServer running on a specific machine (my desktop), but control it from another machine (my laptop) on the same LAN. DCS is installed on the desktop, so it is easier to control the server from the laptop (different screen). How do I set that up? What about if I want to run the server from the laptop? How should I configure the ports? I have 10310 and 8090 forwarded on the laptop, and 10308, 10309 and 8088 on the desktop. Where do I enter those ports? And confirm I still have to log onto the DCS website with my laptop to control the server on the desktop, it cannot be done via the LAN IP or behind my firewall if I just want to run a LAN session? I currently have DServer installed on my desktop, and am installing it on my laptop as I type. Sorry if it is a noob question
