  1. Final update: it's the 6950xt... Wiped the system, installed new windows 11 and made sure all BIOS updates and drivers were up to date. Installed only WMR and DCS. Same issue with the right screen. Re-installed 3070 and drivers only, no issues. Guess I'll use the 3070 until Black Friday or Xmas and hope for a sale on a 4080. Thanks for all the suggestions. Ruddle.
  2. Update: After 2 days of intense fiddling around, I now have stable fps... in the left screen only!!! The right screen is stable until I move my head then it will stutter .If I continue to move my head then the left finally begins to stutter. If I just wiggle my head just a little the left will remain fine, but the right stutters. I've seen one other post on the interwebs with another G2 owner with this issue, but AMD did not respond on their forum. I thought maybe there was a problem with the cable insert to the headset, but I can't see anything (and it would have presented on the 3070 used to test if that were the case). Changed the DP port twice to eliminate the other end. At this point I have changed so many things chasing this problem, I'm going to wipe the PC, re-install everything from the ground up and start over. If I can repeat all the issues while using the 6950xt and then putting the 3070 in again and confirming no stutter (eliminating the G2 as the issue), the 6950xt is going in the bin and I'm getting a 4080 or 4090 and be done with AMD cards. Thanks for the suggestions and help. Ruddle.
  3. I not tried safe mode, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks! Ruddle.
  4. I have finally broken down and ordered lenses for my Reverb G2 so my old eyes can see in VR. My system: AMD 7800x3d on Asus B650E. 64G Ram at 6000mz. 6950xt for video card. My fps is choking out at 18fps with all the settings set at low. Adrenaline software shows the 6950 is not even being pushed. Downloaded OpenXR toolkit and messed with setting for 2 days from default to CAS to FSR to Turbo. Windows VR seems fine and Steam VR the same (not running DCS through Steam but other games). Borrowed my grandson's 3070 on a lark and it gets 45fps solid as a rock with medium settings - no issues with VR. I'm so frustrated - I'm not bashing ED, but what could I be doing wrong? Even with default settings and no other tweaks, the 6950 is worthless in VR. Not in VR it runs 3 monitors at 90+ fps while the second monitor is running YT and the third screen is used for exports. 50 bucks for lenses is not a great loss, but I do love flying in VR... Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions. Ruddle.
  5. This is my number ONE wish in DCS. It would make any aircraft with an HMD so much more enjoyable. It breaks my immersion when I have to do the 'side-eye' to mark a target. Ruddle.
  6. Really disappointed to hear this. I wish WinWing would put out a teaser of the replacement to give us some hope... I have the T/O panel and wanted to buy the PCR and MIP at the same time to save on shipping. Guess it all has to wait for now until we finally get some news. Ruddle.
  7. I export the exact same and it seems the 1/27/23 update killed IFEI and RWR for IC. I have no idea HOW this is considered cheating. All the work of building a pit and now 2/5 of the exports for F-18 are useless on MP... sigh. Ruddle.
  8. Sorry Rafa, should have been clearer. I meant under the 'general' bug thread. I think you found it from the look. Ruddle.
  9. Thanks Sadhu! It works for me and seems to pass integrity. Ruddle.
  10. Sadhu on the bug thread posted this fix: For F-16 file \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Cockpit\Scripts\Displays\MFD\indicator\LCD\page.lua line picture.additive_alpha = true change to picture.additive_alpha = false For FA-18 file \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\Multipurpose_Display_Group\Common\indicator\BAKE\MPD_common_bake_page.lua line picture.additive_alpha = true change to picture.additive_alpha = false This is not a solution to the root of the problem, as artifacts are still noticeable around the edges. It also hasn't been tested for integrity in multiplayer. I hope that ED will soon find a solution. It has worked for me and seems to pass integrity check on multi-player servers. Good Luck! Ruddle.
  11. Same issue here. The really odd behavior is before the main screen loads (F/A-18 - Ready on the Ramp instant action), the MFDs and AMPCD load correctly (and have active information) on the export monitor (I don't see this on ST - the export monitor is blank until the main display loads) and then the screen repaints and goes all weird. Seems to only affect the export. Can anyone else replicate? Not sure if that tidbit helps, but thought I'd post it. Thanks, Ruddle.

  13. Hi LucShep, Thanks for the incredible recommendations! I really appreciate the detail. Ruddle.
  14. So I haven't built a system in 5 years or so. Intel/Nvidia centric (used to play with AMD/Radeon, but those days are over after some bad components caused no end of frustration). Looking at all the new offerings, I'm sort of overwhelmed (CPUs have gotten crazy complicated - at least to me). If you were going to build the 'one step from the bleeding edge' system, what would be your wish/wants? DCS specific build, not worried about encoding videos or other production applications. CPU - i7-12700K Motherboard - ROG STRIX Z690 (only part I'll really splurge on) Memory - DDR5 5600 Graphics Card - 4080 16gb Power Supply - CORSAIR RM1000e Drive - SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2 2280 2TB ATX case with water cooling for CPU What do you think? Ruddle.
