  1. Thanks man, I already have a deadzone of 5 and a curve of 15 with my Thrustmaster TPR Rudders. Seems to work fine, the rest is probably an issue of technique, like Bremspropeller said.
  2. Thanks Bremspropeller, that's a really good anser. I'll try that. So you don't use any curves at all with your setup? Danke und LG Booka42
  3. Hi all, I fly the F-14 and warbirds a lot, so I am quite familiar with "hands on" non-fly-by-wire aircraft. I love the Mirage F1, but the rudder control is still giving me trouble. It is very sensitive, especially at take off. So what are your rudder axis tune curves for the F1? Right now I am using 15 and I'm going to try 25. Does the F1 have some curves build into the FM, like the F-16? What are your guys curves and what is Aerges recommendation here? From a realism standpoint. I use Thrustmaster TPR rudders. Best regards, Booka42
  4. This is simply amazing. Maybe you could sell preconstructed ones on etsy or something like that? I would buy one immediatly.
  5. Hi all, According to the patch notes it should be possible to configure the pylons on the F1. "Pylon loadout configuration standardized with modern DCS standards: Now the default setup is empty pylons but pylons can be removed to have a 'clean' aircraft." This is not working for me, I just reinstalled DCS. No track as this is a mission editor issue. Thanks for this amazing module (please do CZ, CR, CT and CG at some point). Kind regards, Booka42
  6. This is one of my favorite screenshots, me and my two friends (no AI) in an almost perfect echelon right formation over Normandy.
  7. Thanks @peachmonkey, I also just read this. What I find confusing is page 102 and 103 in this very manual (those are the "Normal Procedures"), as the "fuel selector" (the red lever, right?) is almost always set to "Auf" i.e. "Open" and only the CBs for these booster pumps are used for fuel management. Or am I reading that wrong somehow? They talk about the "fuel selector" on page 102 and call it "fuel shutoff valve" on page 103, are those two different things? They say to set the "fuel shut off valve" to "Open" ... I don't know any other fuel related thing in the Anton besides the red lever that can be set to "Open". This is just kinda inconsistent, I guess. On page 57 they talk about the red lever and there is this paragraph: "When flying with drop tanks, drop tank fuel should be used first. When the fuel inside the drop tank is exhausted, the fuel tank selector lever is set to “Auf” and the external drop tank fuel pump should be turned off." They never say anywhere before that paragraph to set it "Vorne zu" or something like that, they just talk about setting it back to "Auf" So yeah, maybe it's just that the manual is a work in progress or something like that. You are totally right about the function of the red lever in DCS though, it totally works as you (or Chucks guide) describe it. So in the end that's how I'm gonna do it too - if it works it works. Might also be the real procedure. I live in Berlin, so I might be able at some point to look at real documents regarding the Anton and find out more about the right procedures. Nevertheless, this thing is now one of my favorite planes in DCS and probably ever, your where completely right.
  8. Thank you, the red lever seems to work for me now, maybe Chuck is correct here (sorry Chuck, how could I doubt you). The CBs are a little mystery though as they should do something (according to the manual). At least you can't start the engine without them, so they kinda work. I read that in the Dora you actually only use the CBs for fuel management, is that correct? All in all I hope they add some stuff to the ww2 birds (and fix bugs). There is so much potential here.
  9. Hi all, Thanks to peachmonkey (yes, it is all your fault my friend) I bit the bullet and bought the Anton. First things first, this thing is amazing. So I dove deep and read everything I could find (first the Chucks guide of course, DCS Manual, Original Manuals [if available, they are hard to get]) and watched this guys amazing youtube Videos on the FW190: Now I have a question regarding fuel management. According to Chucks guide if you have auxiliary tanks and/or a drop tank you are supposed to block the front tank until the after tank is getting emptied. This is done by using the (red) fuel lever on the left side of the cockpit. I don't think that's correct (more on that later). First you can see the text called "Pumpen Prüfung". I speak german and that means "Pump Test". Also in the original Manual this is called "Brandhahn" which more or less translates to "Fuel cut-off". So I dont think this is actually used for blocking tanks at all but only for emergencys (and tests of course). It is also red! This normally means "Keep your hands off", furthermore the colour for fuel related stuff in the cockpit is yellow, not red. The manual also talks about using the corresponding CBs for fuel pumps on the right side of the cockpit. Namely shutting off the front tank booster pump when using aux or drop tanks. The DCS Manual for the Anton is not quite clear on how and when to do that (or maybe I am just dumb). Today I tested this and no matter what I do the front tank always empties, I found no way of blocking it. Neither the red handle nor the CBs did anything to that regard. Is this a bug or feature and that's how it's supposed to work? Can somebody help me out here or test this? I know the FW190 was one of the first Warplanes to actually reduce workload for the pilot by design - a lot of stuff is automatic. Best regards and thanks for the help, Booka42
  10. Thx Flappie, hopefully you know more than we do. A weather update would be amazing and very welcome. I think it is especially essential for ww2 though, AI LOS not blocked by clouds etc.
  11. Hi, Super Mod! I can't live without it. There is a small problem though. German speech wont work for AWACS call outs. I made a Freya Radar site an AWACS, my pilot asks in german but the answer is in english. The voice files are all there, it is just not using them anymore. Thank you for your work, maybe there is a way to fix this. Super Mod! Unverzichtbar.
  12. I see, thx my man. Kinda sad, but what can we do. Hopefully they fix it at some point.
  13. Hi, Just flew a mission on Normandy Map with FW190 A8 (both of them are great btw) and I noticed this weird colour scheme. DCS colours can be weird - especially at dusk or dawn - but I think this looks really wrong. No mods or reshade or DCS native colour grading, I reinstalled yesterday. Kind regards, Booka42
  14. Alright got it, thx my man, that's what I suspected. WW2 seems to be the the red-headed stepchild of DCS. I own 10+ modules already and was seriously considering buying the Anton, Normandy and the WW2 asset pack. That would be around 140$ or 130 EUR mind you. That's kind of steep if you consider the current state of the weather modelling, AI, ATC and all the other open wounds of DCS. Thanks for all your help guys, I'm waiting for a big patch and a sale.
  15. After an engine start I activate the CB for the artificial horizon and after a while I uncage it. It takes some time to calibrate (which is great and very realistic) and then it shows my attitude, but not correctly. It is always slightly off and not horizontal. This doesn't happen when you do a hot start, then it's fine. I have like 40 hours in the Anton, I can take off and land kinda okay, but it is quite possible that I do something wrong here. I just can't figure out what it is. I read everything I could find and watched videos - to no avail.
  16. Thank you, I'll try that radio thing. I also tried resetting th CB and caging/unaging the art horizon, it is still not working right for me.
  17. Thank you for your answer! This art horizon thing is kinda sad, but good to know. Radio is working on the ground and I know how to use it, it just stops working when I'm in the air - maybe a bug too, who knows. Edit: You know the two relevant buttons for the FW190 A8 (if there are two)? COMM Communication Menu is the one I'm currently using.
  18. Hi, I recently ran a trial for the FW190 A8 and I very much enjoyed this nice little plane. I had two little problems though, might be me or the fact, that this plane hasn't gotten a lot of love in recent years. The first one is my artificial horizon. If I do a cold start it never really calibrates correctly. For engine start I only use the relevant circuit breakers (not all, like in the Chucks Guide, god bless this man) and activate the rest, when the engine is warming up. It is always slightly off, it seems to me like a mistake on my part. Is there a trick to it? The second one is serious, whenever I take-off my Comm menu stops working. It works on the ground but right after take-off I can't get it to work, the menu just stops working. I tried different key bindings, easy comms are off. Thanks in advance to all the Butcher lovers! Kind regards, Booka42

    v57th project

Very nice! Looking for skins for the 57th for some time now. Any way to download them? Best, Booka42
  20. Hi Aerges Team, Thank you for the graphics update, it is amazing. My mind is blown - please keep on going (and do some french F1s too PLEASE). Best regards, Booka42
  21. Also happens on other maps (Nevada and Syria) and even if you start the left engine first - it always affects the first started engine. Airstart has normal hydraulic pressure.
  22. Hi, Just some feedback, not really a bug. The Aim-9P and P3 have some very small clipping problems: Aim-9JULI Aim-9P Kind regards, Booka42
  23. Hi, After some searching through the forum it seems to me that the F-14 has a problem with the Thrustmaster Warthog throttle. Here is my current issue: I use a Winwing Orion 2 for throttle inputs but I still want to use the buttons of my warthog throttle. Whenever I delete the axis bindings of the warthog I get red exclamation marks for "rudder" and "throttle both" and my rudder axis stops working. I tried a lot of editing/copying/deleting/clearing/reloading old configs and all that jazz. Here is what worked for me, I left the axis (throttle left and right and zoom specifically, the standard axis for the warthog) as they are and added a 100% dead zone so they don't interfere. It seems to me the diff.lua for the warthog in the config/input folder for the f-14 is the culprit here. Something's not working right. This is an F-14-only problem, no other module I own has any issues like this. Kind regards, Booka42
  24. Thank you draconus, very interesting.
