You can adjust your TOT via the CDU. Nav/ Time/ DTOT Adjust. Cheers TC

Hey Bahger, have yet to testfly the mission but re the TOT; the player can adjust the DTOT via the CDU, and for the AI I use an orbit ideally very far away from anything enemy related and have them push from there in the desired sequence. If they don´t have to change altitude/ speed much it works ok. Yeah, would love to have a Map & Mission planner like the one in Tornado, but TOT´s do work well in F4 too. I can plan complete 20-30 ship packages there in less than 2 hrs time and not only do they take off in a reasonable manner, they are where they must at any given time, hit their target and come home as planned, only to be directed to a perfect landing by the ATC ;) A dream for any mission builder ... :smilewink: Cheers TC

500+ views and noone knows ?? Or cares ?? ...

Or, better yet - if ED would finally fix it there wouldn´t be a need for either post! ;) Cheers TC

For FC3, wich I think is part of DCS now, it is, isn´t it ? :) Anyway, I have no idea how "realistic" it is as I neither care for IL2COD, any other WWII stuff or FC3. Cheers TC

As DCSW doesn´t handle a war scenario too well anyway, a training map where one can fly training missions does make the most sense anyway. Thus Nevada, if it´s ever released, is most appreciated by me. Cheers TC

Pilot Body for all DCS Modules Plea - toggle-able as is for Ka50 and P51

No. IMO there are some many things that would need attention, thus resources I wouldn´t want ED waste a single manhour doing this. If I want to see legs I´ll look down :) Cheers TC -
Thx for the quick answer! There are tabs for trees and bushes, so these are loaded seperately? What´s with airplanes, ground units and whatever I might place on the map? Those just floating in space? Cheers TC

My guess is it will be a long, long time before it does - if ever. Sometimes I wonder if whoever is doing the AI logic has anything to do with modern air combat or aviation in general. Cheers TC

Just now I find in the DCS World Config/ Graphics tab a thing called "Preload Radius". Might be in there for some time, but I never noticed ... What does it "preload" and what is then with whatever is beyond that range ?? Thx TC

Be careful what you wish for :-) Once the heat is on having two players in one ac has the potential to end friendships - we´ve almost seen this with Janes Longbow back then. If you get shot down because your own mistakes is one thing, if you get shot down (and maybe havn´t had the chance to do anything useful until then) because of your pilots fault it´s an entirely different thing :noexpression: I do love the F-15E and am looking forward flying it in a couple of years, but would prefer the way Janes did it back then. IMO a "training map" of any kind does make the most sense for DCS products at their current state. As it is the AI does not support an all out war scenario, so having small, well defined missions with only a few units suits the sim best. As odd as fighting Russia with a single A-10 Squad 5 mins out of Batumi :smilewink: Cheers TC

I take it you are refering to the same mission as yesterday, then yes you should place just one IP as they are almost on top of each other. The way you placed them tho makes em more like a CP as you have another WP afterwards (that should be the IP). As for distance to target ... The JTAC/FAC(A) selects the IPs/BPs based on enemy capabilities, target orientation, friendly location, weather, aircraft capabilities, and fire support coordination requirements. IPs are normally located from 5 to 15 nautical miles (nm) from the target for FW aircraft ... For PG munitions drop I usually set it at 10nm. I normally don´t use the ME ones so I just made a quick mission to check and JTACs referal to the IP (heading, distance to target) worked just fine. The "no mark" glitch came with the last patch I think and I could get a WP having an AFAC A-10 overhead loaded with WP. Got the "no mark" using a IFV at around 1nm distance. Maybe the unit now actually needs to have them loaded, tho the A-10 did not make an attack run to employ the WP - smoke did just pop up ... Cheers TC

Even without being part of big packages there are plenty of occasions when an A-10 pilot/ flight has to sync up with other assets (Refuelers, Range Controller, JTAC), so having a working TOT is essential. Unlike F4 however ED has yet to get this working. As a player you can adjust your TOT with the CDU and make up for the "lost" time at mission start. Syncing up with the AI will only work by having everyone in a holding pattern until after the slowest/ last to takeoff flight has arrived. You´ll have the required speed below your actual speed and right and low in the HUD the ammount of seconds that you are early/ late. That you´d do in mission planning, calculating with a climb angle and speed that you can manage and adjust a little up or down as needed/ dictated by your TOT. The AI tries to reach the assigned altitude at the end of the leg, pretty much ignoring TOT and speed so the only way to be sure what profile he is flying is to chase plane him and check for the times manually. Looking at your mission however makes me think you´ll face more problems with the AI flights (attacking when they aren´t supposed to, going after the wrong target, etc), so my advice would be to do MP first and maybe a SP later.
