  1. I raised this topic in a different thread, although I was wondering why it was possible for the HARM seeker to "see" both those EWR's and launch on them in TOO mode. The HARM will track towards the EWR briefly then go dumb. This little bug seems to have fallen on deaf ears as no-one has acknowledged it as far as I can tell. It is annoying that those EWR's show on the HARMs TOO page, sometimes it can be a bit cluttered and having false targets which a missile could potentially be wasted on is frustrating. The fact that the PB codes were added at some point and now don't work tells me that ED have figured out that these EWR's should not be able to be targeted by the HARM but haven't yet fully implemented the fix.

  3. Ok so is this a bug with the HARM or specific to the F/A-18c? I don't have the F-16 module so am unable to test whether the HARM can "see" the EWR emitters while on the rail on the F-16.
  4. Yep. It is slightly annoying when trying to sort out a clutter of HARM targets and wasting a missile on something that shouldn't be seen by the HARM.
  5. Try it by turning the RWR off first, then select HARM and then TOO mode. The EWRs show up and are able to be fired upon. Anyway I'm not trying to say whether the HARMs should or shouldn't be able to target the EWRs, just that the behavior within the sim is illogical.
  6. No, the HARM sees the emitter because it works exactly the same if you turn the RWR off. I don't have the F-16 to see how that would operate differently from the F/A-18c
  7. In which case you shouldn't be able to lock them up and the HARMs shouldn't start tracking towards the targets and then go dumb. I've attached another track file which shows HARMs being launched at the 55G6, 1L13 and the FPS-117 radars. The 117 gets hit but the other two get overflown. The EW page shows the radars don't stop emitting during the launch. HARM2.trk
  8. My apologies if this has been covered before. Launched 2 HARMs at the EWR in TOO mode. They seem to start tracking then lose the track and overfly the target. See attached trackfile. Edit: Also happens with the 1L13 EWR HARM.trk
  9. I agree with this. The smoke plume while the unit is "cooking" is quite good but once the vehicle has "died" with a nice little explosion the smoke plume turns into a paltry little wisp. It would be nice if there was a slider in the options menu to increase the height, thickness and duration of smoke plumes so those with beefier setups could enjoy the extra immersion
  10. I've found that Virtual Desktop provides a much more stable experience than both Air-link and cable with the quest 3. I'm able to play on mostly mid settings with FPS hovering around 50 on the ground taxiing and stable at the 72 once airborne (Syria map). My specs are Msi B450 5800x3d RX6800 32GB ddr4 The last major update made a big difference to performance for me, I was able to bump up the pixel density to 1.2 for a nicer picture. I mainly use the hornet and the AH-64, I know some modules will degrade performance more
  11. The update before this latest one turned DCS into an unplayable stuttery mess for me. I'm not at all tech savvy and didn't really try to get to the bottom of it, just stopped playing. This latest update is running really well for me now, i've been able to bump up some of my settings and still get smooth gameplay in VR. 5800x3d, RX6800, 32gb DDR4 using Quest3
  12. Ammo trucks will allow other ground units to re-arm eg SAMS, artillery if they are within a certain radius
  13. It seems the TOR can't engage bombs coming from close to 90 degrees above it, I'm able to hit it 100% of the time with a GBU-31. May explain the difference between JDAMS and LGB's??

  18. Hi all, Just created and activated this account to report a weapons bug I've found, but this seems to be the only section I can start a new topic in? I can't find anything that says new accounts will be restricted for a period, is this normally what happens? Cheers
