  1. I said what I said, and my point stands. I wish heatblur would have taken the Corsair with them along with the f-14. The results speak for themselves. 2 modern jet avionic aircraft with complex radar and flight systems released. M3.... Well, we all know how that story went. Shame that the most iconic Pacific WW2 fighter didn't get the love it could have had.
  2. At this point with all the years of silence stacking up, I really wish a more experienced and established dev was put in stewardship of one of the most legendary and beloved WW2 fighter aircraft of all time. Imagine Heatblur carrying it's torch. Hell, they've released 3 modern jet aircraft recreations in the time M3 has been developing the corsair.
  3. After switching from a buttkicker to a 5.1 seatpad device (SimRacingStudios Ushake6), there are a couple of "Strength SoundModule" settings for aircraft that don't seem to respond to adjusting them up towards 100. The main one I would like to solve is the "Cannon/Gunfire". In the p-51 for example, whether I leave it at 50 or change it to 100, it barely changes anything and barely rattles the seat. I am not using unlimited ammo or anything. Just wondering if I might have a setting misconfigured now that I swapped to the Ushake seat. Most other settings to work well except for catapult launch which has the same issue as above.
  4. My SimShaker software just went into demo more for no reason. No windows reinstall, hardware refresh, anything. I would really hope Andre moves to a managed key solution instead of having to email him to activate or re-activate. What if something happens to him and our software goes into demo mode for no reason? We just don't get to use the software ever again? keygen or netlicensing would be options.
  5. I don't know why he even bothers helping us with all the headaches he gets from both ED and Varjo, but I am extremely grateful and happy he does. I hope he knows that.
  6. Zach: I wondered if you had ceased development of this altogether or just got busy with life. I hope you continue, as these are absolutely fantastic. I would KILL for an updated version of the Big Beautiful Doll with your improvements. Thanks for all this.
  7. Hah, sorry. My humor should have been more clear. I was hoping the update would have spurred some discussion here; yes it was a lame joke that fell flat. I am really excited that the Essex is that far along; even with the early damage model intact. I am also curious if behind the scenes ED and M3 were in discussions knowing how big of a release this was going to be. I am hoping that ED has been working hard to provide some assets (whether ground, air, or map) to coincide/support the corsair release. At the very least, I am hoping M3 have some low-fidelity or AI Japanese assets like an AI zero ready to dogfight against. Either way, the update was stunning and I can't believe the level of detail shown in the update. A cold-start in that cockpit for the first time is going to be SURREAL! I wish they would have given us a little easter egg of some sound effects, but it shouldn't be long now! I hope to get my new Varjo Aero VR headset before this thing releases, but either way I am very excited!
  8. I know you have all been waiting for this for years. Imagine my luck as I am just getting into DCS and my favorite warbird EVER is the F4u. I get to come in and see it in the final stretch; I feel very grateful!
