Thanks, I was under the impression hitting the IFF button on the cockpit dash both sent out my IFF and and also IFF'ed targets on my radar. I'm still very new to this and the F-16 gives you a lot to learn! Thanks Alan

Very helpful, thanks. I was not aware the radar did not work in ACM modes and assumes as my IFF was on it should show automatically. I will try the TMS Left to IFF. Thanks Alan

Hi, No pod, just radar radar lock from 30 degree vertical scan, helicopters are airborne. I will see what I can sort out screen shot wise. on the server I have been using it takes me about 15 mins to find anything target wise.

I am using this, I have not problem with using it or locking targets. The problem seems to be with helicopters not being seen on radar at all, no contact showing on the screen. I can lock them but cannot fire because they are unknow targets. Looking at the F10 map most of the time I am seeing that there are few or not bandit targets, I may be joining missions late. Planes seem to show on radar and show green but not helicopters. I will try and create a mission with just helicopters and see what happens then. Only been using serves for a few days for practice and have never seen a helicopter in training missions so have not idea if I have a problem there or just on this server. Thanks Alan

I has the same problem, they are off the screen set your screen resolution in the DCS properties. sorted mine out right away. the save button my also be off screen when doing this so you might have to let you curser go off screen and click about. Alan

what I am saying is nothing is showing on the radar at all, no target. when flying around I have seen some targets which track as green so it seems to work for some things but its the helicopters that do not seem to show at all on radar even when they are at my nose and close enough to hit with guns. Im Alan, but I cannot IFF targets when the radar shows as scanning but nothing is showing on radar when they are 3 to 5 miles from my nose ! Locking the target it not a problem I can do that but with nothing showing on radar I dont know if friend or foe. Thanks Alan

Have now sorted this I think, the save button for preferences was off the screen so it was not saving my setting. It seems much better now. will see if it stays the same after a reboot. Thanks All, Alan

Hi , this is not BVR it is within 3 to 5 miles. Radar shows as scanning, nose is pointed directly at the targets to shoot but cannot shoot as I dont see if friend or foe. Having some other problems after new TV install but will try and get a track so it can be seen. Thanks Alan

Hi, I checked and you were right, it was not set to 1080I but even when I adjust this and close down when I restart it either has reverted back to 720p or says it still on 1080 but as it load the icons on my screen more than double in size telling me its has lowered the setting even though still showing 1080. Not sure what config file you mean ? or where is will be located ?

Hi all, I have been having problems with this from the start. I have just put a new 1080I TV on and I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and every time I use DCS in full screen mode half the options after a mission r save, refly ect are off the screen. I have just set my screen to a little under full screen to see if that helps but DCS just jumps to over full screen size and is even worse than before. Is there a way round this ? Thanks Alan

Have joined a server a couple of times now but getting stuck as to how to identify an enemy and not shoot a friend ? as soon as I go into AA mode or Dogfight mode. I lose the awax screen and although I am scanning my radar does not seem to be picking up contacts I can see. I'm in and F-16 viper. Normally in the training missions I have the tags on so I know what to shoot at. I know this is cheating but I am still very new to this. Thanks Alan

Ok, so for the first time I got on to a server it too a good while to load but finally I am sat in the cockpit of my plane only to get a popup telling me the mission has ended. how do I tell if a server I am joining is active active ? Thanks Alan

Hi, I want to dogfight against other, where do I start ? I have tried joining servers a couple of time and find myself looking at an overview of an airfield. I have no idea how to get in a pane and fly. Is there any way to spawn in the air close to the action ? How do I know which side I am on ? I see lists of planes and helicopters on some servers. I take it I can only fly the planes I own ? Thanks Alan

Ok the saga continues, just managed to log into my new account and go to verify by text message. Still getting the message that my phone number is already in use even though I deleted the other account 4 weeks ago. I did try to get help but everything they suggested failed. Guess I will have to try again. I really hate discord ! Alan

I have been authenticated once but had to bin the account due to the above problems. now having problems logging in to my new account but will try a reset. I think its because I had to wait 3 weeks for the old account to be fully deleted before I could use the same phone number again. I just find this service not easy to use and makes you jump through so many hoops to get on and join channels I would guess a lot give it. Im pretty near to doing that. Alan

Let me log in, then I try to join something asks me to complete something sent to my phone. then says that phone is already in use. Yes it is by me ! I find it hard to use and lots of problems. Surely there must be a better solution ? a forum like the ones here ? having to go through this stupid prove who you are every time you try to join a group and then they wont verify you as your phone has been used before is just getting me down. Hi, I am using facetracknoIR with a webcam. Looking right left and forward is fine but If I go extreme up or down I do get some problems. it does jump about a bit and can sometimes lose the track all together. its not all the time just sometimes. Im not sure how you bind a turntable switch to a button ? I would want it on full brightness always. Thanks Alan
