  1. Yeah I'm going to have to experiment some more I guess. I've been playing with it for 2+ hours and I still have no idea what the certain axis things do on the linear scale. I haven't noticed much a difference. Thanks for the help :)
  2. The keys are set to stuff that isnt used by DCS A10, and it's pitch black in my room and its 230am :) There's only the three green pickups in the camera view
  3. What about the profile I create? I don't even think anything changes with I use Wags profile...is his profile even running? None of the F keys work and I made his profile exclusive and all that. Hell, when I'm looking straight at the screen, it sometimes shows the left wing of the aircraft... I'm so confused/discouraged.
  4. So, like many others, I recently received the TrackIR5 in the mail, and I'm excited to use it. Problem is, I have just about no idea what I'm doing. I've looked through the manual and I'm still kinda lost. All these axis' and stuff is confusing. I've read that Wags profile is pretty awesome, but I've installed it in TrackIR and I'm still having trouble. It doesn't seem to recognize that I'm looking straight ahead in the cockpit, and that's the biggest problem I have I think. It's always skewed to the left or right for some reason, even though I'm straight in the TrackIR program and it's set up straight on top of my tv/monitor. It's also not recognizing my pause/center keys during the game. While I'm in the TrackIR program, it responds to pause/center just fine, but when I start up DCS A10, it doesn't seem to recognize it. The only thing the game seems to recognize is that my head is moving, even if it's all over the place. I've also tried lowering the speed and upping the smoothness, but it's still jerky as hell during the game, almost to a point that it's unplayable with TIR. I've read most/all of the threads regarding TrackIR, and I'm still having these problems. Can someone give me a super newbie tutorial? Thanks! Chris
  5. the - key is the default mapping.
  6. Yeah after messing around, I noticed that. That's weird :P Hope my wife doesn't come in and clean up my desk and hit the slider control and making the computer go nuts haha
  7. Hey Jack, I think this is the exact profile I've been looking for. I've been trying to get it to work, and I've done everything needed...I think. Once I set up the profile within Saitek and make this profile the active one, my computer starts going haywire, and the 'a' command seems to become active and acts like it's being held down. i.e. if I open up a notepad it would just hold down the 'a' key (aaaaaaaaaa..etc). I have to disable the profile for this to stop. Any idea what's causing this? Thanks!
  8. Loving the Beta so far: Are more training missions a WIP, such as communications (there are others, but I just can't think of any at the top of my head)? When I'm flying missions now, there's some things I'm rusty on, and I read through the manual and get a general idea, but I'm still not 100% comfortable with, and I think to myself "Man, I wish there was a training mission with this in it (such as autopilot)". Communications would be a big thing right now, as I have no clue how :P And I could think that refueling would require a whole training mission in itself when it gets implemented later on.
  9. I did say I was a complete newbie to these boards ;)
  10. Nevermind :)
  11. Hey Fellas Genuine Newbie here I've looked around for the beta forums, and I can't find them... I've bought the beta version and have been playing for about a week and a half now and I found the thread where they say there's a link on the download page, but I can't find a link, and I can't seem to find any link in any of the e-mails DCS sent me when I registered/bought the Beta. This will probably get deleted since every thread I've started gets deleted, but hopefully someone can help me out sooner than later :) Thanks! Chris
  12. Hey guys, Not sure if this has been posted or not, and there's 104 pages...that's a lot to read through. Is there a way to actually get voices on the radio? Or is it only text? I could have sworn I saw a video where all the radio was actual people talking, though it was still computer talk, it adds quite a bit to the game in my opinion and I want that! :) Maybe I just missed it in the options somewhere? Thanks!
