  1. @awjudgeThank you so much for this guide – incredibly helpful!
  2. Thanks, I finally got my install working and tested 16.0.b and it was good - will try 16.0.b1 and do some frame rate test etc over weekend. Thanks for your mod - great to lose the rotors to reduce artefacts
  3. Thanks @speed-of-heat it was a dll file that OVGME was not removing - fixed now
  4. Still doesn't work with Open Composite (for me) unfortunately. I've tried all troubleshooting steps. It works with SteamVR but I only use OpenXR now. I've tried running the Loader from its own folder and also at the top level in the bin folder. Get errors both ways (the loader either tells me the d3d11.d11 is in the wrong folder, or, if it finds it OK, the 3DMigoto version of the .dll appears to clash with the original (or Open composite?) version of the .dll). Result is an error message and DCS crashes with error message. Driving me mad. Has anyone got this working with Open Composite? If you have, can you see what I'm doing wrong? Thanks. Okay, found the problem. There was a d3d11.dll left over in the /bin directory that had not been removed by OVGME and it's this that was clashing with the mod. Now DCS launches. Thanks for help @speed-of-heat and others
  5. That's really helpful, thank you @lefuneste01thanks for all your hard work on this.
  6. Just installed the Steam VR version - works well (I just tried removing the rotor - that's the most important thing for me). But the Open XR version crashes each time and DCS won't launch. Here's the error message if it helps. It's crashing open composite - any ideas for a fix? Thanks
  7. Assuming I have things in the correct place, maybe show all the files and folders that need to go in the /bin folder? I remade the zip with this structure for OVGME. I’m getting crashes but assume I now have install correct (I will go through the troubleshooting you suggest). This image is what my new zip file looks like for OVGME. It installs all of these at the top level, so: [your DCS install] / bin ... Hope this is helpful. Thanks for your hard work on MOD. Sure I will get it working soon. Fingers crossed.
  8. I'm not sure how much this helps, but here goes: I had the same issue (also using openXR version) couldn't figure out where to put the files as the zip and OVGME didn't place them in the correct 'bin' folder. I guessed based on this forum thread (see before and after screens below). Ran 3DMigoto Loader.exe from this folder. With this configuration the loader starts without errors, but I get errors trying to load DCS – something to do with OpenXR (I think it said error code 13) so I still have not got it working. So it appears the mod is starting up at least? All I want to do is remove the AH-64 rotor as it's full of attracts with motion reprojection – everywhere outside of the rotors is silky smooth now using the OpenXR mod. Anyone have any ideas how to get this working or how to just remove the rotors if that's a simpler hack? Thanks. Also: just saw this from the OP/Mod author. May help: "I did not update the troubleshhoting guide for openXR but main things are the same : make the standard 3dmigoto mod working without any other mod, on a cleaned DCS install. Then try to install other mods and check impact. So please try to test on standard steamVR configuration before looking for OpenXR... Once you'll have it working, uninstall the normal version, install the openXR mod and the opnXR version of 3dmigoto mod, and have a look on [DCSinstallationDirectory]\bin\3dmigoto..."
  9. So the files all go inside [DCS install] bin/3DMigoto/ [All files and folders in this 3DMigoto folder] And not [DCS install] bin/ Thanks
  10. I've followed your troubleshoot pdf. I can see where ovegme should install the 'ReplacementTextures' folder etc that you've highlighted yellow. What I can't figure out is where the other files go? '3DMigoto Loader.exe' and the remaining files that are not highlighted yellow in your pdf? Please could someone show me which folder each goes in (I assume '3DMigoto Loader.exe' do not sit in the 'bin' along with others as these are not shown in yellow pdf? Many thanks for your help.
  11. @BIGNEWY on subject of cold starts – when auto starting from cold (I know, I know – so impatient) with AH-64 the right engine never starts, so auto start stalls. Left engine starts up, throttle moves forward etc. Right engine doesn't start and right throttle stays in fixed position. As per Wags control setup video, I have Virpil CM3, with left throttle set as both throttles, and right throttle set as collective. Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious? Or is this a known bug? Thanks.
  12. First want to say what an impressive module the AH-74 is. One thing – I'm still a little confused by the George hover issue – would love clarification by folks that know what they're doing! I have encountered this issue many times in different conditions (including when ascending feels easy). If I get in position and switch to George to hover he will slowly descend. If I request that he ascends (dialling in altitude in flight mode) he will accelerate his descent to ground level! If I take back flight control I can get back to ascending (if I'm honest, I'm probably moving forward a little). From what I've read above am I right in thinking this is not 100% down to weight/external conditions and that there are some AI issues that will be tweaked down the line? Any tips/advice for a learning pilot (first DVS rotor module) appreciated. Thanks.
