  1. Once I set up my carrier group and all the statics, equipment and personnel, is there a way to save this layout and be able to paste it into another map? In other words sailing from the Sinai map up to the Syria map, I’d like to be able to copy/paste my carrier setup from Sinai onto the Syrian map.
  2. Man, I’m not sure how that even works (locking it to a county). If you could tell me how to unlock the livery from a specific country I’ll go through and check all of them. Any ideas on the last LUA (for the old version) on how to fix the board numbers?

  4. So which part of the description denotes what livery? I tried to copy and paste so everything is exactly the same with the exception of the arguments
  5. ok so, can anyone tell me at least, if I have a livery , for example "F18 CLEAN", how can I copy that and make one called "F18 CLEAN PREFLIGHT" and add the arguments for static objects (covers, ladder etc) to it? i have tried to copy the contents like that and add the arguments but the "preflight" livery doesnt show up in dcs. can someone at least point me in the right direction?

So I had an older version of this paint (VFA-103) with custom arguments to be able to select the livery with engine covers, ladder down etc..it was the same file name with “preflight” at the end…as basically I could “rearm/refuel” and select it to have the covers on etc. Now trying to do the same with this new version, I tried making the same “preflight” folder with a lot of cut and paste on the new paint which is “F/A-18C VFA-103 Jolly Rogers Aircraft of the Line 4k Re-Mastered (Updated: 12/15/2023)” but for some reason I can’t get it to show. Is there any crazy chance someone could add a “preflight” livery to this version? There’s a clean and dirty version, so I’d basically have clean, dirty and “preflight”. If someone could do that Id be forever grateful!!
  7. I will try to post a track when I get home, I can tell you that hitting TMS Aft then will not give me an option for SP (should be on the right side of the MFD from what I’ve seen). How do I then, reset it to the velocity vector?

Hey guys, running the latest update and the F16..just coming back to DCS After a short hiatus, and I’m having a problem with the targeting pod, I hit air to ground mode, and can slew it around most of the time, but hitting TMS Down twice should put it straight ahead (as I understand it, basically resets it) but instead it keeps aiming back and left (which I think is maybe a different waypoint or something), even hitting CZ it points to a different direction and no matter what I press, I can’t seem to get it to reset straight ahead. Also watched a video on YouTube and the guy hits CZ then a button for snowplow mode shows up, however I NEVER get that…no way to put it into snowplow mode…am I doing something wrong or is this a new bug or something? I’ve reinstalled the F16 and repaired DCS, same issue. How do I make sure in a saved scenario this isn’t some sort of inadvertently saved waypoint or something that it keeps trying to point at? I’ve watched countless videos and I don’t seem to get the same results…never had a problem with the Hornets Tpod. I must be missing something.
  9. hey all, been a while sinceive been in DCS lol but i just recently picked up where i left off...and this project is my number one priority right now in DCS. So, little update, ive got the pylons to show however the only option is to remove payload. what else do i need to add to the lua?? I can just install the mod and it works fine, however, with the lastest updates to the Viper, the tires sit low in the pavement with the SUFA installed...Basically i want the factory dcs f16 but with the ground assets of the CFT SUFA mod.

I will say I’ve noticed that in order to get the pitching deck scene in PBS’s “Carrier” documentary and other videos I’ve scene, you have to have the winds so high you couldn’t fly in them…does seem unrealistic to have a 25kt wind and no swell..just choppy waters. For my to get a extremely pitching deck I have the winds set to extremely high

  14. hey guys, wanting to change the sound of a HH60 Mod to the sound for the default SH60 helicopter (the HH60 Is beautiful but way too quiet), Does anyone know where the sounds are kept for the default AI Aircraft? Ive checked in both root and Saved games folder under mods and core mods, nothing for AI and My Saved games folder doesnt even have a "sound" Folder. how can I accomplish this?

  17. is there a way to make AI Land or takeoff at a specific time?? Ive watched a ton of videos and searched, other than the last waypoint set to landing, im not sure how to make it land after a specific amount of time. say I want to have the recovery tanker to orbit for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or make it take off exactly 12 minutes after the start of the scenario so we're not all blocking each other trying to get to the CAT for launch.

Hey guys, just noticed some changes after updating DCS (jumped from 2.5 or so to the latest, and I noticed that on the super carrier you can no longer get the "interior views" from the free camera (R CTRL F2). kinda sucks for screenshot/video purposes, was this intended by ED and my main question is, is there a way around this? Was kinda cool to get shots from "inside" AI aircraft etc..no if you get to close to an object the camera stops you..bummer.

I’ll try to make it brief, but seeing as how we only have the NTTR in the us for a map for some strange reason not a single other AFB is modeled in the continental United States, I’m looking for ideas on simulating a flight “across the pond” for deployment…similar to this do all F16 pilots real world ALWAYS fly their jet over to deploy or do they ever hitch a ride on a C17 for example and fly to their base that way, only to be assigned a fighter upon arrival? I would assume in real world you fly from Nevada to the east coast us tanking the entire way, stop over night, then do the same thing across the pond. May be tricky to simulate using different maps to get the general feel for east coast us ops with an airport that can support an F16…any and all ideas welcome. In the real world though, is this always the case?
  20. I have the two seat version but cant get into the rear seat...read somewhere the key command was 0 or 9 but neither works.

So I just installed the F16 SUFA mod to have the crew ladder etc, all this works if loaded in mission manager, however, once on the ramp if I try to refuel/rearm through the ground crew, the menu shows up but there’s no options, nothing is selectable. I can move the sliders for fuel but that’s it…any suggestions on what to check?
  22. Interesting, the link only worked on mobile..downloaded it on my tablet, but desktop said file not found. Either way, finally got it installed! Quick question though, how do I get into the rear cockpit, and also, I noticed the refuel-rearm menu doesn’t work as far as stores…is there a trick to this(trying to use crew ladders) or is this not functional yet? Thanks again for the help, this mod is beautiful!
