Being lazy here Finding setting up custom ‘ in cockpit’ snapviews for my harrier rather tedious I wonder if anyone has configured a nice set of ‘in cockpit’ snapviews for their harrier, in their snapviews.lua file, they might be willing to share??? Cheers

Hi there, Hoping someone can put me right? I can get into Airboss view. I can press <ALT> C - which changes cursor for interaction with monitors in Airboss station but, whatever I try, I find I'm UNABLE to interact with ANY of the monitors; to change course/speed, adjust lights, interact with map etc. What might I need to do to enable such actions? What is the relevant keybind(s)? Cheers

Yep, thanks - can spawn in anywhere below 66N - However, 66N is pretty low on the Kola map so using Herc on Kola map is too limiting to bother with No news on the C-130 module for so long now one has to wonder if it has disappeared down a black hole never to reappear?

Any clues on what lua you modified to get Herc on Kola to work? Would love to know! Kola is one map where the Herc could prove particularly useful Update: Apparently, you need to spawn in at a location south of 66 degrees North, You seem to be able to fly, quite happily, above 66N but you need to start south of that

OK, just tried. New mission, Kola map, just one Hercules at Bodo, no dynamic spawns. Result… Still just freezes DCS, unable to spawn into Herc. Disappointing! But thanks for taking the time to reply.

Hi folks… Is anyone able to confirm they can place a Hercules on the Kola map and actually spawn into it and fly it around? I’ve placed a Hercules at Bodo, on Kola, but despite being able to select it, It never allows me to spawn into it?

OK, thank you. I had no keybind configured to toggle the mirror. I’d assumed, like many of the jets, the mirror would toggle by clicking My bad Mirror works now, thnx again

My cockpit mirror remains black, with no image shown. Clicking it makes no difference Is there something I need to do to enable it? Do others have this issue?

Seems to be the place for experts on smoke I find coloured smoke, from aircraft ‘smoke pods, to be disappointingly weak. Colours seem to turn white rather too quickly, somewhat spoiling the effect. Is there any way to increase the intensity of these colour and have the smoke stream maintain its colour for longer before decaying to white? Cheers!

Good point about the lights Unfortunately, at my age, I’ve trouble seeing them clearly enough in time so, neglected to mention them But, of course, you may be following your Localiser & Glide-Scope ‘indicators’ (???) in 600yd visibility, for example

You’ll pick up the localiser (hdg) some distance out but don’t expect the glide-scope ‘needle’ till within about 6 miles. So, before 6 miles, configure for landing & trim for Speed on AoA fly at 1,200 ft. As you approach within about 6 miles @ 1,200ft you should pick up the glide scope ‘needle’ above your horizon line. As you get closer, maintaining your altitude, the glide-scope needle will move down to your horizon line, on your HUD, as you start to intercept it. When glide-scope ‘needle’ is on your horizon line, power back, to start your final descent, let the glide-scope ‘needle’ AND your velocity vector drop, together, until both are at 3.5 degrees down on your pitch ladder. You’ll be working the throttles continuously to maintain yourself on the glide-scope. Fly down the glide scope from there! Anyway, that’s what I do. But, happy to stand corrected by those with more knowledge!

You have full control of TrackIR curves in the TrackIR software. You may have to ‘experiment’ and adjust these if moving up from a smaller monitor but can’t see it being a problem, just adjust to what is comfortable and suits you best. You don’t ‘have’ to move your head further, from side to side, just because you have a wider monitor.

I hope there is a very quick ‘fix’ for this Changing the ‘system date’ just to get something working in a single module seems like a very bad idea To be functional DCS needs to work without the need for such ‘hacks’???

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I’d have no issue processing json data for display on a map (Google Maps, MapBox etc) using javascript. The bit I ‘have no idea about’ is getting hold of mission data in a json format from a running mission in DCS Will look at SLMOD, see if that might help, thanks for your suggestion. Though, I don’t run a ‘dedicated’ server; just the standard, standalone DCS install

Hi, I note there there are a number of MP Server groups who also run websites that contain ‘Live Maps’ for their missions. MapBox, Google Maps, etc Is there any documentation anywhere on accessing a DCS Server mission and obtaining mission data for processing and display on such maps??? Rgds
