My turn to speculate wildly, and look foolish later. Vietnam map. Given that the tet offensive began in 1968 January 30.

Wishlist for potential planes after JF-17
Vashka replied to J-20's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
The jf-17 has a pretty good radar. One of the better ones in the game. -
The idea of getting the mkk really peaks my froth. Pretty sure it would sell like hot cakes too.
-
All the fc3 jets have the same radar. Did they all change? Could you link the log?

There's just an inherent bias to US aircraft. I love the Jeff for the cockpit. My young brain works well with the iPads and workflow. Everything just works. You push the party button with everything set up right, and it does it's job. its never going to do anything unexpected, for better or worse. I'd expect that the flight sim community mostly grew up in an era with the f-14 and f-18 and so they have an attachment.

It's just a picture. Did you pitch up to loft, lose track, and fire?

Good News, this prove we may one day get J-10 in DCS.

@PLAAF Do you know what china's plan is with the j-10 and su mkk long term? Are they going to stay in service once j-20 numbers start to creep? Or are these kind of already going out the door? -
Objectively less complex, with far more information. If I had to guess making a model takes significantly less time then modeling systems. Most people might not understand that just because it looks finished, doesn't mean it is.

Help! JF-17 Engine shutdown in middle of the flight
Vashka replied to AndyPx's topic in JF-17 Thunder
Fuel feed looks fine though. Judging by the foot pedal tweaking, its probably a keybind. -
The more I look into the j-10 the more I'm interested. Familiar mfcd layout is comforting. I'd assume the work flow is the same up front. The panels are way different, but that's life. Domestic SD-10s should feel familiar, along with fox 2s that don't suck.

I'm betting January-february time frame. I really hope they pick something popular so they can get the recognition they deserve. DCS unquestionably needs a the su-30mkk, and given deka is based in China, this is a no brainer. But aside from a flanker, a mig-29, would also be a crowd pleaser. The j-10 would be realistic. Outside that there's still plenty of choices. The rafale, tornado, super hornet, and Tejas will probably all eventually be claimed. But they have plenty of prop planes if they wanted something easier, and there currently some huge gaps. Just off hand, a spit, zero, tempest, yak3, La7. If you wanted more ground attack, the il2 and stuka are obvious iconic choices.

I wouldn't doubt they already know. But I suspect they're waiting for the jf to be finalized. Which is honestly extremely respectable. No point is speculating or asking them at the moment. Sit back have a drink and relax.
-
No. I'd speculate hearing about it in the December-January time frame when the jf is done. But even the work to decide if they're going to do a certain module could take months.
-
Except that news bulletin last month that said exactly what they were doing all the way until december.
-
It's not a question to loft, its a question of how much of a loft.

Wishlist for potential planes after JF-17

I really hope they do a su-30mkk, or j-10. Tbh I just hope they are successful. Deka out here doing the platinum standard but never really got the recognition they deserve for it because the jf-17 is relatively unknown. -
How does one set target to small? what is your kill % at 40nm? holding only 2 SD-10s seems counter intuitive. I'd almost rather forgo the PL5 in order to hold the double racks for the SD-10. I've always taken the jammer for AA, but i suppose if your launch is at 25+ and youre just assuming you beat their missile anyway...

Of course it depends... I don't have a frame of reference as to what to expect out of these. I've been throwing them both at 30k, 350kn, at about 5-10* (higher for the LD). So I guess the main questions are: Is there a correct loft angle? What is it? ( I feel like physics would indicate 45* but that's a lot). The ld-10 for sure seems to like a high angle. I fired 2 with about 10 seconds between, and the second impacted first. the main difference being the angle I lofted them. Speed and alt were about the same. What's an ideal altitude? Obviously high, but you don't want to be struggling speed wise to attain it I imagine. The plane wants the dot on the steering circle. Is it better to listen to that, or just loft above the dot? What range can you expect them to be reliable? The SD seems good out to about 18nm, but I don't think I'm understanding the symbology. Sometimes the max range and MAR are almost right on top of each other, and other times it feel like I'll never reach the MAR. It's hard to determine when exactly the missile would be best served. Honestly any knowledge people want to dump here is appreciated.
