  1. This module has a lot of potential. One of its best (in my opinion) features is being a commander of the ground forces, infantry, aircraft and even some battleships! It is all already there, the problem is that is sucks. Its feels like an early concept of an ArmA 3 mod. From time to time I try to give it a try but Im most of time fighting with the controls than fighting the enemy units. It would be so awesome to properly command your units in this game. If i have to make a list i would say: - Fix the problem of some units just ignoring your order - Make it easier to see your units and what they are doing. It could be a new UI that doesnt depends on the game map and were you can see your units with just a click - Make easier "orders": "Move here", "watch that zone", "attack this target", etc. Everytime I try to move my tanks i create like 6 waypoints and some times they even ignore them. - Easy way to select units. Your units are under attack and you need to move them. Currently you need to swap to the map, move to unit and, some times, zoom until you can select it. - Make the units give some feedback, with some audio clues like the AI pilots could be enough And thats is. I really like to fly my viper, but after teasing what its already on this module i would really like it to be able to use it better. Commanding tanks, sending artillery strikes on these giant maps, it is just awesome.
  2. Thanks! I was worried I was doing something bad that could ruin a long mission one day
  3. Hi! I have a couple of hours with the Viper but im still trying to fully learn how fly it, so sorry if this is a too noob question. The thing is, a couple of week ago I started to make my own start up of the viper and then doing some missions. Then I noted a green light above the Fuel Quantity Selector start to light up and there is a sound with it (I have google it and it is called Marker Beacon, I think). It starts when im taking off and sometimes when im landing, but I don't remember hearing it when I start already on the air. the first time I heard it was expecting a hard crash of something not working, but nothing happened. My question is: Am I doing something wrong with the start up or with the take off sequence? Should I be worried? Thanks!
  4. Im happy for you and your wife! DCS is one of the best experience on VR, in my opinion. These kind of tech can help a lot of people to overcome their fears without putting them in danger.
  5. You are right, the thing is that they are charging for this DLC. I know that DCS is mainly a flight simulator (and I love it), but the moment they charge for it they are “officially” supporting ground combat. In my opinion, this module lacks instant missions and good tutorials to help you learn to command different units. Of course I would like more units available and even sea combat being improved, but I’m think it is more important to have the ground combat in a good state and then expand it (naval combat could be its own module tbh). I just hope they keep updating it. I know the haven’t forget about it, so I have hope they will make a good patch sometime soon. But in the meanwhile, I think that instant action and better tutorials have the priority.
  6. I hope we get a full navy update. I know we can command them, but it is still too much bear bones. it would be even better if we can even assume the role of commander and be able to deploy aircraft from a carrier and sent the AI to do missions… but let’s start small
  7. Excellent video! Glad to know that Im not bad at landing, no, im just "navy landing" my F-16. Im sure the ground team love when I RTB from missions
  8. I have been following Start Citizen since 2013, and got my first ships a couple of years ago (I have a Constellation). The game is vastly different, the only way this "tech" could be useful for DCS to move to MMO style multiplayer with a 100 players in really large maps. I think that's out of the picture for the devs, but im not gonna lie and told you that's a good idea, imagine some kind of Fox Hole but in DCS with people flying and other commanding the ground troops. Now, for the "Tech"... it is mainly smoke and mirrors sadly. They have been stating how that new tech is SO powerful that is gonna make the game playable, the truth is that it is not. I dont want to get off topic but the Star Citizen has been really mismanaged to the point other games like X, Elite, and other are doing what they still can't and all in stables builds. So be aware of some YouTubers, the truth is that in the game you are gonna experience a lot death because you clip through the floor, your ship just exploded because reasons, etc. So I honestly don't think this new tech is gonna be revolutionary or that DCS will ever use it. I have years believing it will change the gaming world but its been almos 10 years and the game still lags terribly.
