  1. So I double checked, because sometimes my throttle ghosts so I figured this might be the problem but no dice. Weirdly I can get it to start now, when it hits 5.7% rpm and begins to stutter, if I advance the throttle at all it goes all the way up to 28.5%. Wondering if the patch changed the pre-idle throttle max to 5.7% from 9.2% now.
  2. For some reason since the update I can't start the AV8-B's engine. As in it won't even go into idle; the engine spools to exactly 5.7% then sputters and stays there. Here's my current cold start procedure. Remove wheel chocks Battery on External power Right MFD on (Begin ins alignment; enter long lat, switch to ins gnd) Canopy closed and locked Generator on Fuel shutoff down DCS up Oxygen on L&R fuel pump to normal Fuel portion forward Engine start -> 9.2% rpm (Rest is omitted because RPM never reaches 9.2%)
  3. Are you fully aligned? Those are not normal misses. GPS/INS isn't perfect but that last one is very very far off target.
  4. Cam you upload a track file? My hit rate with GB-6's in any mode is probably 100% (I can't recall the GB-6 ever missing, and I've dropped well over 100 of them)
  5. It's for the next bomb. It's letting you know you're still in range to drop. It also happens with the GBU's.
  6. I love the new weapons in the update, I have some questions though. For the LS6-100's I notice that they are only available for the outer wing pylons unlike the American GBU's, is this temporary or will we be able to mount them on all the same pylons in the future? Also I noticed that the LS6-100's can be released beyond 20km (at 25k ASL I was able to deploy them from about 12.5nm or 23km) however the laser miscalculates the time of impact and turns off too early (which can be fixed manually), is this the reason for the 20km range? For the LS6-250's I noticed that the station select button will not change which weapon is selected on the dual rack, is this a limitation of the dual racks? Finally I noticed that the LS6-250 seems to have the same flight model that the LS6-500 has, even though it is smaller, is this by design or just a place holder? Thank you and the rest of the team for the amazing work, these new air to ground weapons will really expand how we fly the JF-17.

    F15E DTM

IRL there would be a mission computer on the ground where it would all be plugged in pre-flight, this obviously doesn't exist within DCS. While the TPOD function is effective, it requires you to be within TPOD range to use, for standoff weapons like JSOW, GBU39, LS-6, etc the whole point is that they can be employed well beyond that range. If you want to saturate an SA-11 site or S300 site, you're not going to want to wander into their WEZ trying to setup your munitions, which is why having the ability to input stationary targets into a mission computer and then into the aircraft via a DTC/DTM is important to have. I'm glad to see this functionality will be on the F15E, and maybe this will help push ED to implement it in the F/A 18 and F16 as well.

    F15E DTM

Yes this is something that can already be done with the mission editor but currently on two aircraft (to my knowledge) can do it in mission. This is especially important for multiplayer servers as generally we won't have access to the mission editor.

    F15E DTM

Most importantly it gives us a way to add waypoints/targetpoints etc to the aircraft's computer without having to use the mission editor. For example if you want to use a JSOW on the Hornet in pre-planned mode currently we're restricted to either dropping them on ME waypoints or manually punching in the coordinates in flight for each individual weapon vs the JF17 where you mark it on the F10 map and tell the ground crew to load in on the DTC, plug in the cartridge and have all the points already loaded into your aircraft's computer. Since the F15E can carry 9 JDAM's (or eventually 20 SDB's) you wouldn't have to manually enter the coordinates for each weapon with a functional DTM.
  10. Yeah it's a joke, it also means EF will break the game since it's not a planar array.
  11. Hard to tell from this video, but I did notice you pull negative G's, doing so can not only stall the engine but also mess with your hydrolics. Try to avoid this and instead roll over and pull back on the stick instead of pushing forward, this alone might solve the issues you've been having.

Anyone know if the DTM will be modeled in any form?

    LD-10 Accuracy

I think that margin of error is my issue; it tends to either overshoot or go off to the left or right, which is infuriating against SHORAD since they're small and have decent protection, I'll toss a track in here in a bit.
  14. Having a lot of trouble getting my LD-10's to hit their targets. Both in MP and SP, missiles are fully aligned and it's in all three modes. At first I thought it was just ARM's in DCS in general, but the AGM88's and Russian ARM's all have essentially perfect accuracy. Am I doing something wrong, or is this lack of accuracy intentional?
  15. It's not a "strange opinion", it's my opinion and the opinion of most who served in the US Army and are even remotely familiar with TRADOC. What I said was for your benefit alone, you can keep using bad sources and having SME's come in here to correct you if you want.
  16. It should be noted that this is a US Army TRADOC website. TRADOC is not 100% reliable when it comes to capabilities and specifications, and that is doubly true for platforms in other branches. Please attempt to avoid using them as a citation for USAF platforms.
