Same issue here, but none of the suggestions helped. Any other ideas?

Thanks, JaBo, but there's no way i can justify spending that much money along with the $1000 or so I'd be spending on the Obutto Rev itself. Any other options aside from taking it apart and doing it manually, guys?
-
Hammer, (or anyone else using the Obutto Rev/TM WH mount) Does the flight stick mount allow for a 15 degree counterclockwise rotation if desired, or are you stuck using it in the 12 o'clock position? Thanks, Bull

Xcom, I believe the integrity check goes a step further and verifies that the named file not only in existence, but is the same as yours. It's a pain to implement unless you fly with the same people all the time. And, i personally haven't heard of any ability to do it for specific missions.
-
Hi Xcom, If you remember, I used to do that when you visited my server. You need to have the file, labels.lua added to your network.cfg file. (Found not in your DCS folder, but your saved games/dcs/config folder). Like so: integrity_check = { "Config/Weapons", "Scripts/compile.lua", "Config/View/Labels.lua", Remember, everyone must have your same Labels.lua file or you'd just be enforcing whatever labels settings they have by default.

AI Messerschmitt Bf109E Beta released
Invisibull replied to kato217's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Seeing the same as Gavagai. -
I've tried that, Mustang. Not much of a difference.

Hi, I'd appreciate it if any of you could look at the attached track and tell me what you make of what looks to be way too much haze, and the way the horizon seems to flicker/undulate. This is a brand new install of DCS World, and the weather settings are standard with no clouds or fog whatsoever. Also, HDR is not enabled. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Bull haze.trk

Zaelu, I'd been having a huge problem with flickering cockpit text in the P-51, but am glad to report it's all but gone after applying your fix. Mulțumesc!

how to get the most out of the stang?

OK, I understand that point. Thanks, gents. -

Invisibull replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
I understand the rationale of opening air outlet doors manually, but what i don't get is why the auto setting NEVER seems to open them enough during potential overheat situations. I've overheated plenty while in auto, but next to never after having opened both the coolant and oil cooling air outlet doors up wide. By way of example - I'm flying along in full mil, both outlet switches set to auto. Maybe I'll do a 45 degree climb or some pretty tight turns. Things, as expected, heat up rapidly. But wait, if i push both momentary switches forward to open their respective air outlet doors, eureka, all the gauges retreat back into the green (Contingent upon going into a dive or resuming wings level flight to increase airflow of course). No overheat. Same exact scenario, except switches are left in auto, more often than not, I'll overheat. What gives? The Mustang manuals (both the actual USAAF manual and DCS's incredibly close reproduction of same say the following: This suggests that the automatic regulator should indeed accommodate any heat load that manual operation could handle whilst in flight. As long as the auto setting can open the doors fully the same as I'm doing in manual, what's the difference, right? Am I missing something or does is the auto setting in the sim not working as it should? -

I had a one up for at least 5 hrs yesterday. :)

In the attached screenshot you can see 3 planes in my windscreen - closest is 1 mile (.86nm), second is 3 miles (2.60nm) away, and if you look right above that one, the third is 5 miles (4.34nm) away. All are heading away from me and the altitude is between 6k and 7k ft. I'd assume these distances would increase a fair amount if the plane being spotted happened to be maneuvering perpendicular to my flight path. These numbers seem to be in line with the tests you're mentioning Jim. That aside, I still feel a bit lost when vainly looking for planes i know for a fact are very close to me. Perhaps it's simply a matter of technique? I'll keep plugging along and see how things go.

Grimes, thanks a bunch. I'll check this out soon. +1

Wondering if ED plans on making the Mustang a bit easier to spot, or if they're content with the current scheme. Anyone in the know?
-
Hi Grimes, thanks for your reply. I've never worked with scripting before and so I have no idea where that code goes, and would love to display in minutes/seconds but i have no idea what i'd change to do so.

Hi - I'm making a dogfight scenario where the side who can stay within a zone for X amount of time wins. I'd like it to be cumulative so either side can enter and leave the zone numerous times but their total time within the zone is always being calculated. It would also be a plus if i can show players updates for time in zone in a useful way. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Bull

Forcing HDR settings in multiplayer
Invisibull replied to Invisibull's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Haven't had a single crash using HDR - lucky i guess. Mjeh, I agree that the cold setting looks the best by far. You should be blinded when looking toward the sun, and that's what the cold setting simulates imo. -

Yes, sun glare. During WW2, the plane with the sun to his back was far harder to spot, and so had a huge advantage. "Beware of the Hun in the Sun." In my opinion, HDR is a step in the right direction in emulating the kind of harsh glare pilots had to deal with back then. -

Yes, I know about that one, Mustang. That's why I asked specifically about within my DCS World folder. I can't do an integrity check outside that folder afaik. -
Forcing HDR settings in multiplayer
Invisibull replied to Invisibull's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Thanks for your super quick response, Nate. Do you know which file within DCS World reflects my HDR settings? Graphics.cfg doesn't seem to. -
Hi folks, in the interest of realism i'm considering attempting to force HDR on, on my P-51D server. Do i need to add a file to my integrity check list (if so, which file?), or is there some easier way of accomplishing this? Whether the client uses cold, warm or normal is of no importance to me, just as long as some form of HDR is being used. Thanks, Bull

I seek to run as realistic a server as possible. As such, installation of the following file(s) is strongly recommended: -DCS P-51D Duel RED & Duel BLUE skins -Fictional Bf 109 Skin -DCS World 1.2.0 - Better Fire, Smoke & Explosions Mod - Kuky version 9 (Works fine with 1.2.2) -DCS Multiplayer message removal Mod We are no longer using labels, so skin colors/markings are more important than ever. Email me at Invisibull22@hotmail.com if interested in flying with us or with any questions or comments you might have. Also, I'd much prefer if people used my email instead of replying directly to this thread. Thanks, and hope to see you soon, Bull Label Mod.rar
