  1. Hello, So i get JTAC on the comms and they add these red markers. At some point i've blown through half a dozen JTAC requests and the TAD is littered with red markers. How can i make out which is the current/active JTAC request? Thanks.
  2. No subscription model please. I've already forked out on most modules, so there's a lot of us out there i suspect who will be at a disadvantage. For a subscription model to work it should have been done early on. Now its not to say if a new engine or entire game comes out then maybe that could work. I am not sure how sustainable the existing DCS engine is. If you look at Bohemia Interactive with ARMA, they took the 2001 engine and ran it down to hell until ARMA 3 in 2013. They've now moved to a new engine but it is taking a considerable time to rebuild everything. I suspect ED is in the same place, but they are sticking with their own engine for now.
  3. Literally that. Takes me around 3 weeks to learn basics after that its just about improving BVR/dogfighting and muscle memory. I really really really enjoy touching buttons and things in the cockpit. I tried FC3 when i started DCS and got bored in 30 mins. I find the same with other combat sims e.g. IL2 and even MSFS2020 (when most buttons are INOP).
  4. thanks, cant believe i haven't found that watching all the vids.
  5. Sorry, newbie here. I constantly get problems in the f16 when there's a line of contacts ahead of me and i want to launch in TWS. In the hornet you can spread targets out, but i cant find any option in the f16. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Thanks, working now!
  7. Thanks. For 2. I think @Qcumber and your answer to 1 just made me realised the default runtime was set to VD. I need to try to set it to steamVR then relaunch the game. Will report back after that's done.
  8. Thank you. It looks like VD was set as the current runtime and i was running Quest 3 in DCS all this time probably in some other mode unless it used oculus OpenXR. Sorry, you might be able to help with these questions too. Will try to explain: How can i switch between the OpenXR profiles. Some days i use Quest 3, sometimes Pico 4 via VD. I want it to point to the correct launch. Pico 4 i am now trying the new Pico Connect beta. I have applied the additional hack to give godlike resolution. When i launch in SteamVR via MT, the game only displays in 2D TV screen mode. Thanks.
  9. oh please give me fix. I Launch Pico Connect > Launch SteamVR > Pick MT Steam VR > Result = DCS in desktop mode within SteamVR.... Works fine in non MT but laggy.
  10. sorry, stupid question. I have Pico 4 and Quest 3. In Pico 4 OpenXR just works straight from launching in Virtual Desktop. In Quest 3 i have no idea. How can i know if OpenXR is working?
  11. ok im probably the same then. Rocking a 4090 everything's running fine as it is. I got the pixel density at 1.5x. Just wish we had better AA options, DLAA makes me drunk.
  12. thanks, dont have pimax.
  13. what is qvfr and how to enable?
  14. rtx 4090, i get choppy/crackling audio from the built in headset speakers so i default to my desktop speakers and no issue.
  15. DLAA is the perfect balance but it makes me feel ill after a while. Its like i drank half a bottle of whisky and sat in the cockpit. Everything shimmering and blurring.
