  1. Tried skipping and doing the next mission. Went very well, on the flight back home when the message "Mission complete, you can either return or exit now" came I choose exit, hit the green "End" button but no progress and the mission success wasn't counted. PLEASE get to work on fixing those bugs! Thank you.
  2. I second the above. I don't know how many times I tried the Night mission before finally succumbing and skipping it. Also, given the, at best, hazy directions the designer would be well advised to show the player helo on the F10 map. Even better would be to mark the important stuff on the F10 map in addition to that. Because it is not only downright frustrating and thus quite detrimental to enjoying the campaign, but also (given the current state of navigation aids) adds another - quite unnecessary - challenge to the missions.
  3. Well, unfortunately the bug is still alive and kicking. Tried the mission twice (yesterday and today) with the exact same result (as described in the initial post). I'll give the workaround of Skipping a try next time.
  4. AWESOME! Thank you very much. Still the best "Go To Mission" when you want to have some fun and experience some challenges with the Huey.
  5. I'm all for improving, just sucks to be on the receiving end if that improvement breaks something. Aside from that, I went into the ME and moved the Helo to one of the three helipads. Worked like a charm. Played a couple of missions and so far all the triggers seemed to work and no major issues. Only thing was that on the rescue of a wounded sailor from the cargo vessel, the designated landing space near the bridge (with the markers) didn't fire the trigger. However I took off and moved to the usual landing spot (marked with an H) in the middle of the three holds and it worked. Cheers
  6. First of - I really love this mission (package)! Unfortunately ED saw fit to tweak the Syria map again and now the Helipad is gone. That, in and of itself, wouldn‘t be a problem if the tailrotor wouldn‘t now be stuck in a fence. Thus making it impossible to lift off without immediately crashing. Could you look into this ? Pretty please …
  7. Well, I had to skip this mission, probably due to DCS being quite fidgety when it comes to landing on anything not originally designed to land on. I would say I'm a fair to good pilot in the Huey and know how to Hover and land in tight places, especially on ships. I tried the landing a number of times on those two containers both regular and fore-and-aft. I'm pretty sure I got the Helo with both Skids on the containers, but regardless of what I do, they "eat" one or both of my skids and to add insult to injury, the Trigger doesn't fire. Both when making contact with the containers or by simply hovering a foot above them. So far the Trigger only fired when my Helo was violently moved by DCS while being supposed to sit on the containers and I dropped overboard. I (and probably a number of others) would really appreciate it, if you could modify this trigger to fire when doing either a close hover or actually managing to land on those containers without being glitched overboard. Frankly, if I had to fly this for real, I would either do a low hover, or if weather permits and the container look sturdy enough, land on them but still stay light on the skids. After all, you never know how sturdy they actually are and it would be troublesome (to say the least) if the rust below the layer of paint on top of them suddenly decides to not bear the few thousand pounds of helicopter anymore. I'd say this would classify as an awkward situation.
  8. Just flew this mission again 2 weeks ago and the FM Homing works. But you have to get closer to the survivors before the needle works. If you fly the Huey by the numbers, it is quite doable even with the old FM. For the climb 60kts speed will net you around +2000ft on the VSI without pulling the engine needles into the red zone.
  9. Same issue with the chase mission. When I thought it was done and landed near the car (different sides and distances) apparently the mission end trigger didn't fire. I tried that before the Syria map was updated and afterwards - both times no luck.
  10. Got that one and played the first two missions. So far so nice. Still would love to have a real North/South Vietnam map and an accompanying "Chickenhawk" Campaign.
  11. As the title says, if we ever get a Vietnam map, I would hope (and pay good money) for a campaign modelled after the "Chickenhawk" book. Including missions like the "Ia Drang Valley Battle" or the support of an embattled Montagnard Outpost. For the bigger ones (like Ia Drang Valley) there could be different "Jobs" to be selected at mission start, for example Slick Pilot or Gunship Pilot. I'm sure a lot of other Huey pilots would be interested in such a campaign. Cheers
  12. Well, did it EXACTLY as described - Still no Luck. I'm running the latest Beta 2.8.2.35759 I'm hoping for a fix by ED and until then I'll have a workaround.
  13. Tried to implement this fix, but won't work unfortunately. Still have the entries for the 4 different seats in Orange and each of them double. Hopefully this will be fixed by ED somewhen down the road.
