  1. According to DCS's simulation standards, that would be a completely different Spitfire — the 1944 version should be the Spitfire Mk XIV with the Griffon engine. It's one of my favorite planes in IL-2. The takeoff handling feels very different compared to the current Spitfire Mk IX.
  2. A very good real-life example. If he succeeded on his first attempt, it shows he’s exceptionally gifted. It was extremely difficult for me at the beginning — things only started to go smoothly after I discovered a few tricks.
  3. As long as it's properly controlled, the braking distance is very short — it's even easy to take off again from the spot where you stopped. In fact, I performed three takeoffs and landings in this video.
  4. I feel that the problem now is not just that the rudder is too sensitive. More importantly, the aircraft's nose direction is overly sensitive to engine torque, making its directional stability quite poor. I’m not sure if this is an issue with the aerodynamic model or if it was originally designed this way.
  5. It feels quite hopeless, as there's been no progress at all since 2018.
  6. Just discovered that people have been calling for this improvement since 2018. It's now 4202, and there's still no news?
  7. Seriously, I really don't know who needs cow animations. Are we supposed to shoot down cows with planes?
  8. Perhaps not many pilots used VR in the past, but now more and more are using VR. This issue deserves ED's attention and correction.
  9. Exactly M8, let's keep advocating for this issue.
  10. Have ED given any response? Because in my opinion, this is a very obvious improvement and it's not difficult to implement.
  11. Currently, the mouse uses the VR headset as its reference frame, which makes it difficult to click accurately unless you keep your head perfectly still. I believe the more logical reference frame should be the cockpit itself, similar to the desktop mode, where the mouse does not move with your head regardless of head movements.
  12. I think your RTX4090 is strong enough to give you a good FPS, even without quadview.
