@Raptor9 Completely Understand. Apologies for not knowing when you joined the team, but I appreciate you clearing that up. And thank you for the clarification on the datalink in the AH-64D!

I saw on another forum post, that a user from the ED Team stated that it stated there was a system that allowed Apaches and Kiowas to send/receive targets over a "datalink". I have provided that link to this forum post here: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/282651-apache-datalink/?do=findComment&comment=4793975 Are there any plans to implement this system into DCS to allow the Apache and Kiowa to send/receive targets between platforms?

It has been asked time and time again if they are actually communicating with RB, because of the claims by RB that there is no communication. And to my knowledge ED has responded they are "working towards a resolution" but have never answered if they are actually communicating, when referencing this claim by some RB devs. -

We should try to bring the discussion back to the issue. Not what happens in other discords, either one. We need one forum to stay open for communication. -

What I linked was a link to my post. And followed it with “This is the forum post that Nineline is following and has been responding to. Would encourage people to again respectfully voice their concerns”. What image discord pulls from the forum link I can’t control. -

I have in fact stated that people should voice their concerns respectfully, in the RB community. And I feel my posts have been respectful. Firm, maybe. But not negative, or flaming of any individual or company. I cannot control what others do, but what I can do is try to promote respectful conversation on this topic, which is what I am trying to do. -

I don't think I called ED the Devil there at all? Or said anything negative about ED there. I am simply stating in that post that there are questions, which I view as valid, that ED hasn't answered. I think it is entirely possible to have this conversation without talking negatively about either party. Which I am trying to do. I don't view asking questions and voicing concern is talking negatively about a company. Certainly not calling them the Devil. I don't want to leave DCS, I enjoy the game. And it is with that passion for the game, its modules, and its community that I am asking these questions. -

I think it is valid that users are questioning what will happen with modules they have already purchased. There is lots of talk (based on the previous VEOA Hawk forum) in the ED discord that ED will maintain these modules if RB did leave. I don't think anyone (including RB and ED) want RB to leave or go away. But, I think there is a possibility that it could happen, unfortunate as it would be. And users would like to know, what would happen in that case. And I think that is a perfectly reasonable question to ask. I think this issue is then sparking the conversation about third party modules (apart from just Razbam). Again, what would happen to modules users have purchased if a third party were to leave or go away. Would ED support those modules? And I don't think anyone but ED can answer that. And again, I don't think that is an unreasonable question to ask. In my opinion, because ED hasn't addressed these questions, this is what is causing people to run with ideas or "conspiracy theories". -

Most of the interactions I have seen have shown that the Devs that are speaking up WANT to get back to work. They may have views on ED based on the situation, but at the end of the day they want to continue working. But how I interpret the messaging is that they want resolution to the core issue (which I wont go into claims/etc.) before they start work up again. -

ED management is aware of these forum topics and all of the talk in Discord then, correct? And ED management truly believes their best course is to provide no update to their customers? ED management then must realize, by providing no information or update for 2 months that they are forcing customers to look into every other source of information. DCS users are passionate about their modules, ED management always thanks the customers for their PASSION and support. Yet, it seems ED management is no longer thankful for that passion, by remaining silent. ED management is selling multiple products which have no support at this time. And there is no statement from ED management stating there be will continued support, regardless of how the situation is resolved. Please note, I am using ED management as the target of my questions, as I don’t feel this burden to provide updates or commitments should be put on you community managers. To be honest, I feel ED management is not only failing its customers, but also you as community managers by remaining silent.- 7012 replies

Does ED management know there is a large number of people looking for an update on this situation? We have no way to communicate that to ED management. We can only voice this through forums and discord, which unfortunately you all as the CMs have to bear. People are passionate about DCS and their RB modules, I think everyone at ED can appreciate that passion. But when the only response we get is that management is committed to a resolution, it leaves people wondering if ED management is actually talking with RB. I don’t expect the CMs to give an update on the situation (I would expect ED management to provide that update), but frankly where else can people go to voice their concern other than the forums or discord and hope that these concerns get brought to ED management. -

The issue could be resolved by ED paying Razbam. I wouldn’t expect Razbam to work for free. Just as I wouldn’t work for free, would you? So then it is ED choosing to not let work continue on the F-15E, by not paying. Now again, whether ED is justified in not paying is another topic. Yes Razbam develops the module, but ED collects the payment from you, not Razbam. -

Big difference when the people doing BMS go into it knowing there isn’t a paycheck… Razbam isn’t the one denying the refund, that’s ED. And regardless of what happened ED not paying RB is what caused the development to stop. Whether ED is justified in not paying is another topic. -

It is less that the F-15E doesn't work. But there are bugs with the F-15E that, during typical updates, would get fixed. But right now, no development is happening. For instance it is not possible to accurately Loft GBU-10/12. There are de-sync issues, JDAM issues. And that is just bugs. There are many missing items. And again, there is a chance that the next patch could completely brick the F-15E. Take the current state of the F-16. The mav boresighting is screwed up (one issue I know of). If ED came out today and said they are halting updates and progress indefinitely. How would that come across? No more F-16 sniper pod. No F-16 pilot body. I feel like users would freak. Right or wrong, Razbam made a statement that progress is stopped. Right now, there is no certainty that the module will get further developed. Yet the module is still on sale? The frustrating part, is ED has responded with "don't worry, its only one patch", when concerns about this get brought up. But it is not just that RB missed a patch (agree, not every patch has an update for every module), but rather that they have stopped work. That is a big difference, in my opinion at least. -
The TEWS does not indicate that a friendly F-15E is locking you in STT. I have reproduced this in BVR training missions with others. Upon launching AIM-7M, which require an STT track, there is no lock warning, or launch warning from the other F-15E. This makes air to air engagements with friendly F-15E's very difficult as there is no way to detect a buddy lock ,as no TEWS lock warning is indicated when you are locked by a friendly F-15E. In many cases we have also noted that the TEWS does not even show a friendly F-15E on the display detecting its radar emmisions.

OP, I'm running into the same issue you are describing. Its almost like the jet doesn't recognize the input from the castle switch sometimes and you have to do multiple presses for it to register. You aren't crazy....or at least aren't the only crazy one.

You are correct!! The audio book is read by John Pruden. My bad. Great Book! Definitely got me out of the hornet and into the viper for a few weeks.

No additional solution. But is the book "Viper Pilot" by John Pruden? Currently reading/listening to it and just got past that chapter where he did that.
