the third bug sounds pretty similar to this one in my post. It seems to be caused by the INS AREA mode.
-
I also have this proble m, though it seems to occur all the time Track here: pod_IR.trk
-
1.I can see that the drift is by design, but it goes back to its original position when re-entering area track(which shouldn't happen. If it is a drift, it should just stay where it drifted to, not snap back to its original position). It doesn't seem like it's because of a GPS update or something since it still happens with and without the HNS enabled 2.It is very much not, I was in a instant action mission and it still occurred. I haven't locked anything before doing that as you can see in the second track. It is locked to about three o'clock position and moves like in snowplow. It is not locking on the a fixed spot on the ground like you would expect it to if it's locking what I locked last before I unlocked. 3.I am also unsure if that's a bug or not. It could just be that you can't enter area track with NAV mode.

redbedblock started following TGP bug with update 2.8.5.40170

1.(1) When the TGP goes from area track into INS area mode, the pod drifts a little(which is completely fine). But when I press TDC depress/move the TDC(basically re-entering area track), the pod snaps back to where it left area track. This happens in all master modes(AA, AG, NAV) 1.(2) When going to SP mode from SLV mode, the pod doesn't snap to the position it should be in SP mode(though the TPOD marker on the HUD does). The pod only snaps after you try to command a designation or move the TDC cursor(basically the actions needed to make the pod snap in 1.(1)). 2.When in NAV or in AA mode(with a hot start in the air, though not sure if this effects it), the TPOD is locked to look directly to the right of the plane. When I press TDC depress or try to move the TDC cursor, the TPOD will snap back to where it should be(Snowplow or Slaved SPI). This bug occors no matter what TPOD mode you are in(SP or SLAV). Although it doesn't seem to happen in AG master mode, Slaving to a SPI in AG seems to work fine. 3.If a TPOD is set up to a mode in a master mode(for example, the plane is in AG master mode and TPOD is set to SLAV). The TPOD will retain its mode(so if I switch the master mode to NAV now, the TPOD will stay in SLAV which shouldn't happen)(I don't think there is a SLAV mode in NAV master mode, correct me if im wrong). (not sure if this one is introduced by the new patch or not)This one seems to be by design and not a bug. You can enter SLAV mode with NAV master mode normally. How to reproduce: as shown in the trk and description, I haven't found anything that would stop the bug from occurring. These bugs seem to be caused by the same issue and are possibly caused by the fix of the shaking TPOD bug Will update this with more testing tpod_2.trktpod_1.trktpod_1(2).trkdcs.log
