  1. hi, the lack of a decent Vietnam map has often been lamented. We have many desert maps, but only a few tiny islands, also known as the Marianas, that resemble Asian environments. Which maps do you use as substitutes?   2. @NRG-Vampire Unfortunately, I cannot publish these skins for the Tu-154. Some of them originate in parts from another simulator (FS9), and I am unable to contact the authors. So, no, at least not for the time being. cheers,sinzov
  3. hm, there is a tu-154 around, supposedly an older static model an il-62 buried in the code of the cold-war-germany-extension / map, obviously static too, but no access possible, not even for a change of textures same for a tu-124 look at schoenefeld airport / berlin if ED could decide themselves to make these models available as stand alone static models, things would sure look much better cheers sinzov null

  7. the new map is amazing, no doubt, the purchase is a non-brainer ;-). and there are even soviet airliners as static objects: Il-62 and Tu-134 (take a look at schoennefeld, the main airport of Berlin / GDR in the south of the city). so i wanted to create some new skins for the Il-62 and Tu-134, but I cannot find neither the edm-files (they are encrypted somewhere), nor the texture-files, so no joy. which is a pity, given that we need these planes - and the most important Soviet airliner, the Tu-154. these airliners are sorely missing in dcs - we have nothing except some small planes. does anyone know how to create new skins for these planes ? is there a chance that they will be part of the announced "Germany-asset-set" ? cheers sinzov
  8. I want to thank the team for their hard work and the joy they provide with this mod. may i hint to some minor glitches on the redfor aircraft ? Mig-17: size of main gear, air brake and size of pilot (?) MiG-21: when retracted the main gear on the right shows on the fuselage and a splinter emerges on the surface of the right wing; the wheel is not fixed properly to the strut; MiG-21: it has a nose-up attitude on the ground, culprit is the missing compression of the front gear BUT: as i said before - these are minor things and i am wholeheartedly thankful for the work done.

  10. hi may I add an improvement for the wonderful Yak-28 interceptor. the default loadout and the positions of the pylons are wrong. the series aircraft had no pylons inside of the engine nacelles, but two pylons on each of the outward wings. the outermost pylons were only cleared fo small missiles like the R-3 / Atoll, whereas the main pylons carried the heavier R-8 / R-98.   11. @urbi you sure can have different textures for the yak-28 (thougfh very limited ones): just take nrs. I0 / 0I, II, 88, choose red, blue, yellow as colour - voila.
  12. maybe this is the wrong thread, but speaking of cold war aircraft - how about a soviet airliner ? the Tu-126 sure would make an excellent one is there a decent way to get rid of all that awacs-stuff of the Tu-126 and to rebuild the aircraft as a Tu-114 ?

Hi, @Bunsen ypart of the problems: the naming of the various texture-files is somewhat inconsistent, so you have to make sure each of your description.lua points to an existing file. @tripod your code-lines did the job, my tu-128m.lua was missing the positions for the missiles. thank you, sir.
