  2. Browsing topics here I see people are posting pictures and screenshots of real life manuals, graphs and so on. So I created this topic to see if people are willing to share links, amazon or library references to manuals and other real life literature regarding the MiG 29.
  3. I thought COOP switch was INOP at this time. Gonna try and fly with it off but still it is weird why would the plane switch to IRST in close range high aspect high closure rate and nowhere near Rmin for R27. Seems like a bug to me.
  4. Here are some screenshots from the replay. At some point the radar stops track and IRST takes over. Why? never dropped the lock never changed the radar setting. Then as seen on the last screenshot, distance is 4 km head on and all stations are highlighted indicating there is a weapon solution for all weapons but could not launch any of them.
  5. Doubt it, it was close enough for me to eat a Fox 2 into the face. Radar shows aiming que but no LA and no R distance markers after a cirtain point. Had it happen a couple of times in MP aleady, got lucky this time to have it on a first engagement so that track file is short enough and not broken.
  6. As title states, tracking target in STT lock, radar in Auto mode, initially radar calculates Rmax Rmin and R no escape but then all calculation disappear even though STT never dropped.   7. Great guide for using the Reticle mode or bombing targets in Mig 21 using the reticle in mrads instead of auto calculated ASP ques. At 12:30 there is a chart with various munitions and he talks about dropping FAB 250 per the table at 150 m height and 850 km/hr speed using 100th mrad mark on the reticle. Now I know he mostly uses SU-27 in the video but technique should still apply to Mig 21.
  8. Since 2.9.6 update 2 out 3 replays are working. 1 replay did not crash the game but did give a message " Mission Failed to Load". Will test more.
  9. Resolved since 2.9.6 update. Performance much improved to initial 2.9 release baseline.
  10. Like the topic says. Used to run pretty good 72 FPS on Quest 2 with DLAA in 5408x2736 resolution with OTT Super sampling 1.5. Now, after April 10th update can barely run OTT with 1.3 Super Sample and had to downgrade graphics like turning off shadows, SSAO and reduce visibility range. Wondering if anyone else is having performance problems. CPU 7800x3D GPU NVIDIA 4080
  11. Look at that slow speed performance. In case if they delete the video from Youtube here is what 9.12 can do. Height ~ 300 m Speed 200 kph AOA 18-20 80% thrust Fuel 1.5 and all of that produces sink rate of only 2 m/s Can your miggy do that?

  14. Here is a track of how SU 25T performs the same task. As you can see I can easily pick and choose next laser guided weapon and launch it without waiting for 29Ls to finish their flight. I believe a year ago or so SU 25A was able to perform similarly but then something must have changed. su25T L AG Test .trk
  15. In SU 25T your can launch many laser guided weapons concurrently on a target area. Lets say I need to suppress an installation of short range SAMS and AAA guns. You can initiate your run with a couple of 29L's followed by 4 25 ML's and finish off with a couple of 25L's. This is needed because some of those rockets will get shot down. In SU 25, however, you can only concurrently launch laser guided weapons of the same type. If we take the above scenario and launch 29Ls first the plane will not auto select the next type of laser guided weapons, you have to wait for 29 Ls to impact the target or ground. If you attempt to select a follow up laser guided weapon, let's say 25MLs, then the laser goes into cooldown mode and starts flashing which renders the entire run useless.
