  1. Have you tried this with completely disabling TacView, i.e. removing from the exports.lua file as well? It can cause performance issues as you are currently recording all telemetry data, and I see that you are also exporting this to OneDrive vs. just a local dir so I wonder if this is also caused by I/O which can block things. The regularity of this occurring every 10 seconds does indicate some kind of process performing an action on a regular scheduled basis of some description.
  2. The log is still completely spammed with video card issues. 2025-03-30 18:25:46.413 ERROR DX11BACKEND (19400): Can't map structured buffer. 2025-03-30 18:25:46.413 ERROR DX11BACKEND (19400): Failed assert `0` 2025-03-30 18:25:46.419 ERROR DX11BACKEND (19400): DX device removed. Reason: 0x887A0005 2025-03-30 18:25:46.424 ERROR DX11BACKEND (19400): failed to create index buffer. Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED 2025-03-30 18:25:46.427 ERROR DX11BACKEND (19400): failed to create vertex buffer. Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED 2025-03-30 18:25:46.427 ERROR DX11BACKEND (19400): Failed assert `false && "failed to create vertex buffer"` From the log analyzer as well: There is a GPU-related error Remove any overclocking from your GPU. Uninstall your GPU driver with DDU and install a clean one. You said previously that you hadn't checked this but you were going to. Did you DDU your drivers and reinstall it? Did you also check for overclocks? Check also with MSI Afterburner to see if there is a factory overclock on the video card. Additional items: Disable Core Parking. Verify that this is configured correctly in Windows: Game Mode disabled Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling disabled Core Isolation disabled Additional tuning advice Disable Tacview for performance reasons. Consider using DLAA. Enable Full Screen mode.
  3. Attach your C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log file (may just be a text document named “dcs” if Windows is hiding file extensions). 32gb RAM is not a lot. Add a custom page to your fastest SSD (only one page file, remove all others, eg Windows system managed ones) with Initial and Max values of 32768 click Apply, Ok, and restart your PC. You definitely shouldn’t have problems with those specs. I’m assuming no VR as you didn’t mention it. What problem are you actually experiencing?
  4. The DCS log analyser indicates flie corruption of the mission editor: Config File Corruption Delete Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\MissionEditor and try again. You can backup this up first if there is anything specific you need from it. There are also a lot of plug/unplug events for your usb devices. Check that this is disabled in DCS. If it is then you might want to look at a powered usb hub or disabling your power management for usb controllers in Windows Device Manager. Hot plug Events Disable hot plug in your CONTROLS section. You have tons of mods. If the Mission Editor rename fails then remove all the custom mods and run a slow repair of the game and try again. Additional performance advice from the log analyzer: Turn off SSLR. Set Water to Medium or Low. Enable Full Screen mode. If you have FPS issues, try turning off VSYNC in graphics settings. Remove the OH6GunnerExport script for performance reasons. (this is known to cause stutters in multiplayer with a large number of units) Turn down Anisotropic Filtering. Set Shadows to Medium. Turn off SSAO. SSLR and SSAO are a performance hit with not a large amount of benefit.
  5. No because no log was provided that could have had this information. This user also didn’t come back now after 10 days so I guess they don’t care or just forgot. I’ve requested yours of your post so attach to that one for review.
  6. Attach your C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log file here. Needs to be from after you’ve completely loaded the game. May just be a text document named “dcs” if your Windows is hiding file extensions. Do you use Meta link app or Virtual Desktop?
  7. Add the exclusions to Windows Defender if you haven't already. If you disable the third-party antivirus software on your PC I believe Windows Defender may then kick in, so there is always a layer of protection. To be honest Windows Defender may be all you need. Some anti-virus software is basically a virus itself and should be uninstalled.
  8. WhisperAttack v1.1.1 has now been released. Fixes & Improvements WhisperAttack now detects older GPUs that do not have Tensor cores and will default to a supported compute type for those GPUs The logging window now resizes to take up the width of the window when resizing it Fixed issue where fatal errors when WhisperAttack was running would not be displayed to users and would appear that WhisperAttack had hung Release v1.1.1 · nikoelt/WhisperAttack
  9. Can you also confirm that Windows Defender is your only antivirus software, you're not using anything else. Can you also attach a screenshot of your antivirus exclusions.
  10. The steamapp/downloading folder is a cache used when downloading the update. The exclusion can be removed post-update once DCS has completed. This will ensure that anything downloaded in the future will still be scanned.
  11. Discord channel link: https://discord.com/channels/610534461456777257/809527129422430218 Can you attach a screenshot of your WhisperAttack window as well as your C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\WhisperAttack\WhisperAttack.log file. Do you also have the Vaicom window open at the same time? If so then try closing the Vaicom Pro window, you can leave it running in the system tray.
  12. I don't have a G2 so can't comment re: OpenXR Tools for WMR. As to the OpenXR Toolkit I don't know what you had previously used from it, but as per ChariotOfFLAME's comment QuadViews can be used to replace this instead. It will offer a nice performance benefit by offloading some of the work to your CPU and give more headroom to GPU. Based on your specs for your CPU you'll have no issues there. I don't know what anti-aliasing you use in DCS at the moment to get rid of shimmering and jagginess. DLSS has vastly improved with later versions and presets as per ChariotOfFLAME's comment, however with your specs you could try DLAA. Potentially a little less performant, but will have less ghosting.
  13. Attach your DCS log file when this occurs again.
  14. Also attach your DCS log file as people (not saying you in particular) often experience weird behaviours after updates due to them having mods which are now no longer compatible with the core game, etc., etc.
  15. Is your issue due to RAM problems and you need to physically fix it? If you don't know the exact cause of the game crashing then raise a new post instead of reusing this one as your issue may be completely different and unrelated. Make sure to attach your DCS log files as well. You may also have a dcs-logs.<timestamp>.zip file so attach that as well.
  16. The DCS log analyzer indicates that this crashed from a memory timing issue: Memory Timing Issues Remove any overclocking (XMP) from your RAM. It also reports being out of memory, however this one is curious and may be related, i.e. you have underlying RAM issues hence it thinking it's out of memory. Can you remove all overclocking from your RAM, including XMP profiles in your BIOS and then see if this continues to occur. Can you also use the Windows tools to do a check of your RAM in case there's any faults there.
  17. No need for params on the shortcut. You just start the launcher, make sure the little man with the googles is selected by the big orange launch button (will automatically start in VR) and click the launch button. You could try an update, I have no idea how many versions behind you are. You can probably rename your C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS folder to DCS.old so DCS recreates a fresh one. Will ensure that you a) can copy back your old key bindings, b) means the config will have the latest stuff, will have cleared the old shaders, mods, etc. That folder wouldn't be touched on a fresh install so is a good idea regardless of reinstall or upgrade. As to DCS settings, just crank them up to get a good balance between smoothness and clarity. After starting a mission and playing for a bit drop your C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log file (may just be a text document named "dcs" if your Windows is hiding extensions) here along with some detail about your experience. We can take a look at that and see if there is some advice.
  18. If you're not already then read over and follow this thread, sounds like may be relevant to your findings as well.
  19. Can you show the Window that Defender shows when it flags this as a Virus. Restarted your PC? To confirm, you don't have any other antivirus or malware software installed...only the default Windows Defender that comes with Windows?
  20. Repeat the crash and then attach your DCS logs. You may have a dcs-<timestamp>.zip file from the crash, attach that as well. And when you say crash to desktop did DCS display a message that it crashed, or Windows just closed it? If Windows just closed it then run the Windows DxDiag tool, save the report, and attach that here as well.
  21. Tons of mods like @rob10 said. It also looks like you have a few USB unplug issues in the logs: INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [SWD] HPB7948F (HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 series) INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [SWD] HPB7948F (HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 series) These can cause stutters and pausing. Check that you have disabled Hotplugging in your DCS controls config, big button at the bottom right of that screen. Could also be power management issues, try unplugging the printer (and using powered hubs for your devices), and disable Power Management in your Windows device manager for the USB controllers. You also have Process Lasso running which can cause issues depending on how it's used. Have you tried without that?
  22. Drop another log file containing the crashes with the increasing of the pagefile. Remove your Saved Games\DCS\fxo and metashaders2 folders as well, DCS will rebuild these shader caches. Also remove the `-force_disable_MT` parameter from your launch arguments. The syntax is a) invalid, and b) DCS is all multithreaded so this irrelevant.
  23. Can you attach your DCS log file as well please. If you haven’t already then remove all custom mods and run a repair of the game.
  24. You should do what @MAXsenna said which is to exclude the full folder above, not just the _downloads folder. Like I said already, this should be E:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World. The _downloads directory is just a temp directory when you update the game. When your antivirus next scans it may remove those dll game files again (from the location it puts them in afterwards) which means you may have the same problem in the future.
  25. Yup, your screenshots and log are E:\Eagle Dynamic\DCS World for your folder (non-Steam) so add that to your exclusions as mentioned earlier if you haven't already and run a repair of the game.
