The point is pre patch the game didnt run at 70c plus at the home menu and everything was running about 20c cooler or more for the people posting here in game prior to the patch that just released.

As it says in the post you downloaded from you have to modify the file to the version number of the game you want to go back to. I presume you wanted to go back to DCS2.9.15.9599.1 not DCS2.9.5.55918 that the file you downloaded is at in the name of the file. Edit the File in Notepad to your desired version

No it's also affecting a user with intel here in this discussion who posted temps on first page.

I am using an AMD 5800X with ECO mode enabled and have the increased temps issue and increased load at home menu.

I have the exact same issue noticed my CPU fans ramping up in the home menu and temps are up in game. My CPU is 5800X
