Thanks everyone, I will try your suggestions. Also @Despayre I went to the back seat because I thought it was the only way to find and zoom in on targets for bombing. (I need to read the manual again)

I’m currently learning the F-14 and have run into a frustrating issue with Active Pause when switching to the RIO seat. Sometimes it works perfectly, but most of the time it doesn't—and when it doesn’t, it usually ends in a crash. Here’s what I’ve noticed: When it works: I can hop into the RIO seat, and my trim settings in the pilot seat stay at 0—everything’s stable. When it doesn’t: My pitch trim ends up way off—sometimes around 30 degrees nose-up—and I’m unable to trim it back down. The aircraft becomes uncontrollable, usually leading to a fatal stall or crash on resuming flight. Has anyone figured out the trick to making Active Pause consistently work when switching seats in the Tomcat? Any tips or workarounds from you seasoned pilots would be hugely appreciated! Even though the canopy is open, I dont think they hear me. I selected refuel & arm and did not get a response back. Works no problem with my Viper, F18 I guess starting with the engines on will have to do for now

Cold & Dark Cockpit: From the ICS menu: F8 F2 F1 "Cheif turn on the ground power" Crickets.. no response back Really weird.

I started on the ground, so from the outside view the canopy is open. I will try to close it and re-open to see if the works, maybe a re-install is needed.

Just purchased the F14 I followed some videos on the quick start where they connect ground and air from the menu, I did that and Jester responds "Connecting Ground Power" but he never comes back and say "All set" no response from Jester, so the ground power remains off. Not sure what I did wrong.

Hello, For some reason I am not able to upgrade to the latest version, I normally get a upgrade notification when starting DCS I am still on 2.9.16.10973 MT and I believe DCS 2.9.17.11733 is the latest version. -Paul

Figured this out, I assigned the MMS line of site to a control axias on my throttle.

I am trying to slow down the slew speed of the MMS so I can fine tune the target between the cross-hairs. I have assigned one of my buttons that move left, right, up and down to the MMS axis (I have a Warthog joystick) How do I slow the speed down? the slightest push moves the cross-hairs across the screen. thanks

I also just purchased this, at first I held back because the cockpit textures did not look that good in some of the videos but now that I have it the textures look fine. What a flight model!. Great Job guys!

Hello everyone, I was wondering how do you zoom in on the radar to see your targets? I push the trigger button one to turn on the radar, and I thought the second press of the trigger button was suposed to zoom in, what am I doing wrong, my targets are like finding ants in the sand!

I see, he just tells you where the next waypoint is and you need to fly there. Thanks

First off, Amazing plane! I am trying to get Jester to fly to one of my waypoints, I have the AFCS switch on, navigation system switches to NAV COMP, Jester just reads back the cordinates and still continues to fly straight, I even told Jester to divert to another air field, he does not take control of the navigation. So... what am I missing? Thanks everyone!

I have all my bindings working, my rudder animation is working when I step on the pedals, chocks are remove, I can move forward and stop with my rudder pedals, but I cant turn, could only go straight. I pressed "N" for nose wheel sterring, but I just continue to go straight. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Need a little help, I am learning how to do a carrier landing in the F18, watched many videos, after contacting the carrier and getting my heading I select the comm menu and I never see the ESTABLISHED menu item all I see is: "Arrival. Ready to land carrier" "Abort inbound" "Request Azimuth" Videos I have watched have the Established menu item, also the comm menu always says "AUTO" and in videos I watched it was labeled "COMM1: Arc 210

I sure did, LOL, I setup some SAM sites and now everything is working!

Thanks for the info, I did go to the ASE page and the Utility page and found the RLWR option, I clicked on it which makes it a solid circle, but the green rectangle never gets displayed on the TSD. I must be doing something wrong.
