  1. i recently updated to ssa 2.9 and ran the windows update and hurray nothing works, the seat (hf8) cannot be connected and there is windows .net framework error message. god dammit. recently it feels like im just waiting updating all the time instead of playing. it‘s becoming so frustrating playing dcs.
  2. it works! i refused to do this until now (bc im not really the computer guy, i messed up many times doin stuff like this). it‘s quite easy. you need to stop the oculus service first. after the install of the files i got an error code. then restarted computer, dcs started but only in 2d, the i realzed that the runtime in oculus was changed to vdxr (virtual desktop i tried earlier), changed that and then it ran like a charm. t hank you so much. so i can play again.
  3. woah, really…jeeez…very bad…damn…damn…fuuuuuuuuuu*$* two weeks of not playing dcs…
  4. try the dcs launcher / updater utility app, you can turn on/off vr off-game. Or have two separate installs of dcs as mentioned here: one install vr, one just 2d. since 2.9 i‘ve never used 2d since. the quality with the quest 3 is better than with a screen. i will never go back to 2d.
  5. c‘mon, that‘s too harsh. it‘s some of the best software i‘ve ever encountered. just because you can‘t access your favourite toy, some of you acting like little children… thank you ed for fixing all the problems.
  6. yes my computer is plugged into the router (5g gaming router from asus). cant get more than 1200 router is like 1 meter from the headset. i just dont have the time and nerves to fiddle around with this stuff. it took me ages to find a my setup with the link cable. i run dcs with pd 1.8.
  7. yep, i installed virtualdesktop today and tried with some settings recommended. my router is not very fast (1200), i ran with the same settings like with linkcable. i run a 4090 with a 7800x3d, my picture is normally very crisp and no stutters at 72fps constant, its fantastic. quality now with vd is very crappy and it stutters like hell. im not going to change anything to run this vd setup, i was fiddling around for ages to come to my setup. im waiting for the patch. it kinda sucks, but it is what it is. you‘ll have to accept it.
  8. you must be the last unicorn or been playing with steamvr ever since…
  9. damn, now it hit me too…so sad. pls eagle dynamics bring that patch before easter, pls pls…
  10. yes, much better. i could run the q3/4090 on pd 1.8 dlss and on quality and everything cranked up. 72 fps steady. even sinai cairo is fluid without stutters. marianas though is still a slideshow… im flying helos significant…thank you ed.
  11. i changed from beta to normal (unsubscribed the ptc) and now it works again.
  12. same here, but only in vr and oculus, my other installs running fine. splash screen, then windows: dcs isn‘t running…end. did repair and all that…
  13. they reacted very quickly and sent me (in a record time of 3 days, from china!) some new cables to put into the handle, which was not easy to do and a bit complicated. but it works. thanks to winwing. they should improve their customer support and locate one in the states and/or in europe.
  14. after 2 weeks of not hearing anything from customer support regarding my problem with the ka50 grip (they told me to send a new pcb and cables), nothing happened. i asked them what is going on and then they sent something, which i will receive on dec 28th. so, roughly one month of back and forth went by providing me with a hopefully functioning solution. btw. bc i needed a collective desperatly (some of you can understand that), i ordered the virpil rpc plus base with the sharka50 grip. the collective movement is out of the box supersmooth and very precise, the grip though is crappy compared to the winwing. plasticy clunky simple stuff. i gave my winwing base, while i‘m waiting for the repair stuff, to a friend who is more talented with electronics‘n‘stuff and he took it apart and put some nyogel onto the clutch, reassembled it and gave it back to me. what can i say, PERFECT, just perfect. if my winwing ka50 grip is working again, i will switch back to the winwing collective. and will probably sell the virpil. Nyogel is magic stuff, i put also between the damper and the axle of my orion2 joystick base which i use as a cyclic, as described in another thread here. wow, just wow.

  16. yep, my iglas when fired in manual mode heading straight down into the ground…if i where higher, they would turn around i guess…

these are very good sticks, i have two of them with the extensions. one with the damper kit for helo and one for planes. you can adjust and tune them in every possible way. they are very precise. you can just fasten the axles and nothing is loose in the deadzone. the problem (at least for me) with winwing is the support when you need it.
  18. and it goes on. i do appreciate, that they want to send me electronics (pcb, cables). but i am in no way an electronics guy. we shall see. i wonder what that will cost me, import taxes and fedex fees.
  19. the difference is, i can buy them (tm) at a retail store and return them and they have warranty. i have a warthog hotas since 7 years and it still works as new. it‘s not as nearly as good as the winwing orion stick (at least in terms of functionality). winwing is destroying their own reputation with this customer service, besides the poor quality of their products (at least the gemini throttle is joke). i‘m not an electronics guy, i‘m just not qualified to open a device and fiddle around with connectors and cables. these are niche products and this is a lot of money for me.
  20. thanks for tip, i‘ll try. customer service in china sucks, they dont get it.
  21. no, i don‘t. that‘s the problem.
