  1. I found the issue. It looks like I just had too many USB devices connected (not controllers per se, just devices in general). My simpit is next to my workstation, so I have almost everything in double, keyboards, mice, plenty of wireless dongles, etc. With the added hubs from the simpit, I assume it was too much to handle. I removed what I was not really using, and can now connect all my Winwing and Virpil devices without a problem every time. Rebooted several times, all devices now keep the same ID. Thanks Speed for that JoyID app, that turned out to be quite useful. If this can help somebody with a similar issue in the future. Thanks for the suggestions guys really appreciated.
  2. Yeah I did yesterday but I am now re-updating/re-setting all my devices. I think I may have done the initial setup through hubs yesterday, which they recommend against. Will check if that solves the issue.
  3. I think it is because I have daisy chained it with my button panel, thinking it would save me one device. I am now doing tests back in its standalone connection (as it was initially) to see if something changes.
  4. This is so weird... I disconnected all Virpil devices, I connect the pedals, move it to ID#10, then as soon as I connect the stick rudder disappears and everything changes order.
  5. You are right, there is definitely something wrong my devices ID... It seems I cannot have my stick base and my rudder pedals connected at the same time. I'm not sure what to do at this point honestly. I tried the JoyID but it just seems to show me to problem, not sure to understand how I can use the software to solve it..
  6. Thanks for the suggestion, tried this without success. After doing more tests this morning it looks like I've hit a device limit. I am not sure whether the limit is coming from DCS or from the VPC software. Since the software is "seeing" all the Winwing devices as well, it may be from VPC software. If I unplug a device and connect another, it appears. Now trying to daisy chain one of my panels so both the stick and the panel are "seen" as a single device.
  7. I am having some trouble setting up my interceptor pedals with DCS, and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Here is my setup: VPC button panel VPC CM3 base w/ Warthog stick VPC CM3 throttle Wingwing PTO2 Winwing MIP (VR) VPC Interceptor pedals Everything is working fine in DCS, except for the rudder pedals. For some reason it is not showing up in the upper columns in the controls binding menu. All devices have been calibrated. Weirdly the pedals are showing up in the VPC software, I see all the axis inputs are correct, but not showing up in DCS. I have a lot of devices (not including keyboard and mice), is it possible I reached a devices limit in DCS??? I don't think my issue is hardware caused because I can see the rudder pedals working properly in the VPC software. Any other idea? Thanks
  8. Just a US Navy nut question. Are frequency "colors" used exclusively as keywords in a realistic comms plan, as seen in Raven One campaigns? Could any other keywords theme could be used to the same end? If so, is it an Air Wing or Squadron level standard? Just curious, keep those campaigns I love them! Nothing quite like it out there!
  9. I always play DCS in VR, so I have my MT desktop shortcut with the force VR option enabled. When I play VR I set the lowest resolution possible for my VR mirror screen. I also do some mission editing, and when I open DCS with Open Beta shortcut, it keeps my VR resolution in flat screen, so I have to manually change it which resets the game every time I switch between VR and flat screen. Is there a way to force DCS resolution for each shortcut? So that when I open it with my MT desktop shortcut it goes VR low resolution mirror and when I open Open Beta flat screen shortcut it goes full ultrawide resolution? Thanks
  10. Thanks for your answer. Though MGRS is more convenient once flying in your confined AO, I can see why lat/long are better suited for a larger area. Makes sense.
  11. I was doing more CAS stuff in the Hornet recently, and learned to use the MGRS. What a game changer, so much more convenient to use, especially when you have to punch those in-flight. The possibility to quickly convert coordinates to fit the level of precision you need is also very useful. I was wondering, out of curiosity, is it common for naval aviators to use it in-lieu of regular long/lat coordinates? And I mean not only when they interact with JTAC but also for general navigation stuff? From what I've read MGRS is widely used by the Army, but what the other branches?
  12. Update for this. I found out a partial solution to the problem. It seems the drogue won't come out for whoever is not hosting on initial "Intent to refuel" call, but will do on clear precontact. So: Initial "Intent to refuel" call: drogue is deploying and visible by host only, whoever called it. For other players it remains stowed in the pod. "Ready precontact" call: drogue is already deployed for host. For other players. Once "cleared contact" call is sent from tanker, the drogue starts deploying from the pod. I don't know if this is normal but it is definitely weird. In the track I sent above I did not get to the cleared contact part.
  13. Invisible Drogue - Host.trkInvisible Drogue - Client.trk See attached for track files. I created a new simple refuel mission today to make sure my other mission file was not corrupted. Same thing happened. The Host track is mine (VR mirror 1280x768), we get by the S-3, I make the call to the tanker and it drops drogue. The Client track is from my buddy (same track but from his perspective). As I make the call the drogue comes out for me, but not for him, he always sees the drogues stowed in the pod... Has someone else experienced this before??
