Here is the case: after playing in VR for some time (less than an hour) I am starting to experience rythmical stuttering for 1 second every 5 seconds. This issue appears both in multiplayer and singleplayer. What I have tried: 1) disable hot plug - no difference 2) DCS is set to excluison of the firewall - no difference Right now the main suspects are track files which are written for every multiplayer session. Also, sometimes stuttering appears after changing the aircraft. Have somebody met the same issue? Specs: Pico 4 via VD, Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX 4080, 32 Gb DDR4, wi-fi 6 router, mt preview 2.9.2.49940. FPS is very high (mainly 60-70), OXRTK shows CPU bound when stuttering appears. Need help - this is hell.

Agree. We are one big QA team (from users' side). So go on, you are doing it very well)

Hello, I have met a strange pilot position in VR: pilot is sitting on a stick, not in chair. Is it commonly known bug or it is something on my side?
-
Did somebody meet issues when edges flicker? On trees, edges of the gauges etc.? DLSS is off (due to ghost images on MFDs) and MSAA in on 4x.
-
So I have switched OXRTK back. Put PD on 1.5 (lower not acceptable), Ultra quality for VD. What I can see is on the screenshot. Could pls somebody translate from IT language to the common one?

So, finally I can fly in vr after updating to 4080. But right now I am constantly catching a CPU bound. Could somebody explain what does it mean? Am I right, that now my CPU is a reason for stuttering?
-
And do you have some data from multiplayer?
-
For me making screenshots and videos is no the case. I am trying just to play this game in vr, nothing else. Question to the users of the 4090: how much vram does it use for dcs with pico 4 on your settings? To the users of the 4080: is it enough for pico 4? What settings do you have?
-
Right now I am using Pico 4 with RTX 3070. Result: bad picture with good performance or good picture with no performance. Looks like 8Gb VRAM is nt enough for VR. So I have decided to upgrade my GPU and now I am struggling with the chose between: 4070ti, 4080 and 7900XTX. The last one captured my attention due to 24Gb of VRAM and lower price, compared to the 4090. 4090 simply too big for my PC and would not fit in. Question: what would you recomend (from personal experience) to choose? 4070ti, 4080 or 7900xtx? Other specs of the PC: Ryzen 7 5800X, 32Gb RAM.
-
Btw, regarding GPUs for vr: if we exclude 4090 from the list, increase RAM to 64Gb, what is better to choose: 4070ti, 4080 or take a look on 7900XTX?
-
Regarding system spec: I am now thinking abut upgrading my 3070 to 4070 ti (because 4090 is too big for my pc, it would not fit). This is why I am interested in potential drop of performance due to low amount of VRAM. About DCS settings: I am not satisfied with the picture, so the only way as I see is to upgrade my PC.

Does anybody know what does those peaks means? I have experienced game freeze when they appeared. The problem is with VRAM I guess (lack of it)?
-
It is from the previous attempts to make things work) Btw, open composite is switched off
-
The longer I am setting up Pico, the more I think about HP Rev...
-
So, increase in performance is significant. x2-x3 fps on the same settings But I have met strange... glitch I think: after some time picture in pico is freezed, despite the fact that on the monitor everything is okay and movement is also tracked. After minute or more I see a black screen in pico and thats all.

Regarding wired connection of the PC to the router: in progress. Regarding steamVR: I have no idea why, but maybe because I have steam version of the DCS World, it automatically runs steamvr, despite the fact that I have chosen VDXR.
-
-
In case of VD: should I launch steam VR simultaniously (because if the game launched via desktop it is launched in flat mode)? Launching SteamVR together with VD seems a little bit strange. I also using OpenComposite (Switch to OpenComposite) and OpenXR toolkit.

Hello, I have met a strange glitch in f16 cockpit: all switches (esp. spinning one) have effect like some kind of a "ghost" movement or blur. When you move them you can see there previous position for some time, looks like they are laggy or some kind. Drivers are updated today. Version is MT preview 2.9.1.48335 Appears after switching on DLSS or any smoothing
-
Btw, if it is possible, could you please send screenshots in cockpit looking directly on some panels? But make it please via Pico 4 (using controllers). I want to compare to what I see. Because may be the problem is not my hardware but my excpectations...
-
You mean resolution in SteamVR? Or pixel density in DCS?
-
Screenshots are made directly in Pico 4 using controllers. As you can see, majority of the inscriptions are unreadable (espesially on the warning panel). In Steam VR resolution is set to 150%, DCS resolution is the lowets (1280x768). Open XR Tollkit is shown because I have pressed ctrl+f2 just to remove it from the screen.

Here I am with feedback. First I did not find ASW and in simple mission with 1 Mig 21 vs 4 B52 over Caucasus (no ground vehicles etc): ~90% GPU load and close to 80 fps. Than I have found ASW and in cold start mission for F16 I had approx. 60 fps, but, let me guess, I should limit fps to 45, correct? Because my eyes are bleeding after flashing when fps does not have similar divider with 90 Hz. Also, inscriptions in the cockpit are just white stripes, nothing else.

My PC: ROG Strix G15DS (asus.com) Configuration: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core processor 3.8 GHz Asus NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GDDR6 8 Gb 256 bit 32 Gb RAM Windows 11 x64 I do not have VD, because in Russia you could not pay for it (I do not own any foreign cards to use) So, I am using Streaming assistant and Steam VR, also OpenXR Companion toolkit. SA settings on screenshots. SteamVR also on screenshots, but in Russian. Cable connection of the Pico to PC. DCS MT version. DCS settings on screenshots, also in RU.

Resolution is 3840x2160 (I am playing on 4k monitor 60 Hz). Regarding RAM I should apologise: it is 32 Gb, sometimes I can misthink (do we have such word?). End for me it is surprising that 8 Gb VRAM on RTX 3070 is the lower end for the 2D, because the only time when I found myself struggling with fps in DCS was after putting forest detalization on maximum and gave a try to the low run over caucasus map. FPS drop was significant, I have learned the lesson and right now fps is always in "green zone" for me, unless I try VR. Today I also manged to finally fly using Pico 4 with 30-40 fps with periodical clinical death of the card (a lot of RGB colors on the screen), but quality of the picture was like I am playing some kind of DOS game or even lower (in MiG 21 inscriptions were unreadable, even when I put my virtual head as close to them as possible). Btw: should I expect good picture from VR (may be not as 4K monitor, but at the level, when it is possible to say that "yes, it looks good") or not? Example of "not" could be seen on 7:47
