  1. I would suggest also reaching out to Microsoft. Have you identified the device that's causing the issue?
  2. A couple of things to check: First, reboot your system and then open an administrator command prompt and run sfc /scannow to check for corrupted system files. If that doesn't find an issue, open Device Manager and then open the USB portions of the Device Manager and make sure you don't have an issue with one of the USB devices. If you don't find anything there, unplug all your USB devices and then re-install the drivers for each USB port and driver left in Device Manager. Then plug in each USB device one at a time and test your Microsoft login after each one. The issue is most likely a driver issue or conflict and it will take some work track it down.
  3. As has already been said, map the UI Keybind for VR Recenter to a button on your joystick or throttle. I find that sometimes I have to recenter several times to get the right position, and it is dependent on where your head is pointed at the time you recenter. The other, related thing you'll probably want to play around with is your position in the cockpit. I found that the 2D snap view settings didn't work well for VR. I tried the DCS hand tracking and found it didn't work well for me. Instead I use HTCC by Fred Emmot (link below.) Even with HTCC, hand tracking is still a bit "janky" and takes some getting used to. As a result, I have created close to 400 Voice Attack commands for interacting with buttons and switches in the F-16 cockpit. I don't have everything mapped, but I do have the most-used items mapped. You might also want to look into Open Kneeboard for use in VR. I find it much better for VR than the DCS kneeboard. https://htcc.fredemmott.com https://openkneeboard.com One other tool I found useful in VR is XRNeckSafer. It allows you to look right, left, up and down farther than normal with bound joystick or throttle buttons. https://gitlab.com/NobiWan/xrnecksafer
  4. Or... you could just toggle it on and off. There are three keyboard shortcuts provided for the visor to raise, lower and toggle it off and on. Go to the Commands menu and use the search function to search for visor.
  5. Just go to the Commands section and use the search function to search for visor. There are shortcuts to raise, lower and toggle the visor.
  6. The reboot and then repair took care of the issue. Really weird and never happened with any other DCS update.
  7. Yes, the entire Eagle Dynamics folder is excluded. Nothing has been quarantined.
  8. In trying to update tonight, I ran into an error where the update process is trying to delete files related to the F-4 from the core mods folder. I tried doing a repair and renaming the first file that generated the error message (a .dll file) and even tried to delete it manually (Windows says the file is still open in DCS, but DCS is shut down. See the attached log file ( the error is at the end of the file.) autoupdate_log.txt
  9. I can't say for sure, but it may have something to do with the leading period in the file name. In Linux the leading period signifies a hidden file. Windows is supposed to treat the period as just another character. That said, I remember having some issues previously with these missions because of the leading period, which went away when I re-named them and deleted the leading period. I haven't had an issue with the latest version in Windows 11 24H2. What Windows version are you using?
  10. Most likely issue is that the training missions are in the DCS World folder. You probably won't be able to start them from the training menu. They should be placed in the Save Games Missions folder. I use the same Missions and have them in the Saved Games folder. They will start from the Missions menu without first opening them in the Mission editor.
  11. I also use Voice Attack and Viacom Pro in VR. Over time, I've created about 375 Voice Attack commands for the F-16 that I commonly use in place of activating switches and buttons.
  12. Hand tracking most definitely works with Virtual Desktop. I use an add on called HTCC (link below) which allows me to interact with all the buttons and switches in the cockpit - although it sometimes is a bit finicky. It also works with PointCTRL as well. https://htcc.fredemmott.com
  13. You'll need a dedicated router for VD. I use the PrismXR Puppis S1 and it works well, with only the occasional hiccup (solved by unplugging and plugging in again.) It connects to your PC via two USB ports and shares the host computer's Internet connection. It on sale on Amazon's Prime day (link below.) If you go this route, download the desktop app from the PrismXR web site and use that to set it up (their mobile app sucks.) How much VRAM does your video card have? If it's not 16GB or more you may want to consider upgrading that too. https://www.amazon.com/PRISMXR-Streaming-Compatible-Accessories-Wireless/dp/B0CFDL5Y7F/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2C0533VJ27YAJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.YoxWNRObzecSta2m3AW09haI8bCpV5Cg1T4srm6SsKyzl8HWym7qTZD328Zn1w7cpzcp32s23n8i2QxmOZqs6PA3SCLD0tkEn7WUnkIkM9IwoZDpiN3liC0IGY0VAdvI.DE_omJwlh6938l4wkevO2i2At7dshdoKVeaesGqb5lY&dib_tag=se&keywords=puppis+s1+specialized+router+-+for+pc-vr+streaming&qid=1759949497&sprefix=puppis%2Caps%2C168&sr=8-1
  14. Check task manager and make sure you don't have multiple instances of DCS running. Next run Windows System File check to make sure you don't have some corrupt system files. Finally, if those don't work, then I'd try a full repair of DCS. Alternatively, you could upload your dcs.log file to the log checker on the DCS Discord Channel. That has been very useful to find and fix issues and the analysis happens quickly.
  15. Thanks. I figured out that I was looking at the wrong folder. Once I figured that out, it was a simple matter to recreate the folder structure to add the mod to Open Mod Manager. Works great now.
  16. @Xtorris Once I got it working, the mod is fantastic. The switch labeling is much easier to read in VR. My only suggestion would be to configure the files in the download to be placed in the main DCS folder instead of saved games. After more than 5 years of people complaining about the custom cockpit BUG for the F-16 and ED hasn't fixed it, it's very likely they never will. With an Open Mod Manager folder set up, it makes it very easy to activate/deactivate as necessary.
  17. Thanks. I realized I was putting everything into the wrong folder. Once I figured that out and created a folder for Open Mod Manager, everything works.
  18. I tried expanding the core zip textures file and copying in the files from the mod, then re-zipped the file and replaced it in the core files texture folder. When I entered the F-16 cockpit it was all green squares so clearly something is missing or I did something wrong. @fagulha Any suggestions or pointers on how to do this?
  19. I also use OVgme. What files do you copy to the core and where do you put them?
  20. I took a look at the core F-16 cockpit textures and they are all contained in a .zip file. Are you saying to copy the files into the zip itself or just into the same folder?
  21. Unfortunately, that process to load the custom cockpit does not work for me (tried multiple restarts and different missions.) It's sad, but typical of ED, that this bug is at least four years old and hasn't been addressed.
  22. I tried that, but it's not working. The mod is identified in the Special Settings menu as ModelViewer (the folder with the modded files.) I thought it might be conflicting with the F-16 HUD mod but I deleted that and no change.
  23. Once this is installed in the Saved Games folder, how do you activate it?
  24. See the edit on my previous post. It's working correctly now.
  25. Quad view targets and Target region are set to all or all views in both places. Edit: For whatever reason, HDR started working without the box. Still have to play with it some more. Any suggestions on addressing the harsh white of clouds and haze without over-darkening everything else?
