  1. It happened in online server missions too (although my recent tests have all been various single player missions). But I'll try that too, even though I suck at making missions.
  2. Can confirm. Did another slow repair just now. Different mission this time (Caucuses live fire range). Same result, CTD right after I selected a target from the FCR scan list. dcs.log-20250729-215940.zip dcs.log LastMissionTrack.trk
  3. Thanks for the follow-up. That track (and the CTD) was made after I updated and after a slow repair. I also made sure no mods were loaded at the time. I had experienced a crash before the one I reported, so I ran the slow repair just in case. I couldn't get it to crash with any other combinations of George commands, only that specific sequence--but it has been consistent for me, both before and after the last hotfix. The last few times when troubleshooting, I've only done it on that single player Afganistan Weapons Range mission, but I will also test it on other missions.
  4. Updated. Same exact behavior. George sees the FCR targets, I select one, tell George to change to missles, consent to fire, crash. Log and track attached. dcs.log-20250729-025926.zip dcs.log LastMissionTrack.trk
  5. Happened to me three times, once on 4YA server and twice in Afganistan weapons practice instant action mission. Command George to FCR area search; select target; select George weapon missile; consent to fire...instant CTD. Track attached. Edited to add: engagement with laser HF on point target worked fine, as did the traditional PHS point search and engagements. LastMissionTrack.trk
  6. I also tested this in the P47 and P51 and trim was working for me.
  7. Can you expand what you mean by resetting? I seem to occasionally have this and have not been able to figure it out. Doesn't happen all the time, but about 30% of the time for no apparent reason I can find.
  8. I think the default fusing is the problem and that I was dropping the bombs too low. In the training mission, it instructs you to drop at 1000ft AGL (which, is probably way to low IRL). I don't think it had enough time to arm. When I tried again and dropped at a higher altitude, the bombs exploded. So, not an issue with the module (other than the training drop altitude should be set higher or the fuse set shorter).
  9. Aaaand, the final IFR training was flawless and I passed the first time! I hope people buy this module. Lots of fun to do real procedures. On to the campaign next. Did you see my post about the MK-82s not exploding? I don't think I'm crazy, but I'm going to try again later. Not sure if the campaign has bomb dropping...
  10. I'm not sure what I possibly did wrong last night over and over again, but when I tried it again just now, it worked. The only thing I can think is that I pressed the space bar before he got done talking last night, and this time I waited for a few beats before pressing space. Worked as intended. Thank you!
  11. I hate to keep reporting bugs with the missions, but I just attempted the Air-to-Air training mission. After all the instructions completed, I got to the part where it asked to press space bar to leave Active Pause and spawn the bandits. I did that, the mission unpaused, but no bandits were spawned. Tried 3x, same results. I plan to try the final IFR training mission tomorrow, now that I feel pretty comfortable in the bird.
  12. I can confirm that MK-82s are not consistently exploding when dropped. I dropped the C-101 into a bombing range mission and loaded it with MK-82s. Using the TITS script, I confirmed dropping a pair of bombs within 12m of a T-72 and can confirm visual bomb impact but no explosion. The mission had "unlimited ammo" enabled and the odd thing is: probably two pairs, out of 20 drops, exploded. But I was surprised that those two pairs exploded (and did nothing else different in settings). I could see both visually and hear that they exploded while all others were duds. Confirmed that in the same mission, several other modules could drop MK-82s and they exploded. I did see a post somewhere about the last DCS patch affecting blast values of MK-82s, but I'm not sure if that's true. Just wanted to report it, in case it's a new bug.
  13. Is it possible bombs are bugged with a recent DCS update? I just did the bomb training exercise and neither pair of the bombs appear to have exploded. They dropped just fine, but they didn't explode or make a crater. I had nose-tail selected and everything appeared correct. I'll try some other attempts in missions other than the training one, but since I noticed the rockets were bugged, I thought I'd ask.
  14. You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you so much. I was able to successfully complete the mission with this change. What an amazing series of training missions. Definitely the most in-depth in all of DCS. I'm also glad I saw your note about the rockets because the rocket training mission was bugged (until I realized I should just select one pylon at a time). Thank you so much for the support with this. Between the VFR and IFR training, I feel like I know and can fly this aircraft better than almost any of the other ones. Looking forward to trying the campaign.
  15. If it's not too much trouble to remove, that would be awesome. I'd definitely give it a try. But who knows what else is broken?
  16. With the change to the wind, the mission (the edited one you sent me) worked perfectly! ILS was exactly as expected and I took off in the right direction. I think you're right, it sent me off in the wrong direction the first time. Which is why some of the instructions didn't make much sense. This time, all worked exactly right and I passed the first time.
  17. Any changes I can do myself to the VFR training mission to get it past the heading bug portion? Thanks so much for all your help! I'll play with the wind here in a bit.
  18. Happy to report that training 5 (Flight Director) went perfectly, including the ILS, go-around, and visual landing. I can try to adjust the wind. myself? It just requires choosing "run as administrator" when I launch? (I've never done that.) So what direction and speed should I set the wind? Sorry to be such a noob. I figured the ILS, at least, had to do with DCS deciding the active runway was different than the intended ILS runway. (When in doubt, I assume it is a DCS-introduced bug in a mission!)
  19. Here I am, heading 068, 2000 feet MSL, 5 miles out from Kutaisi, tuned to 109.75. I don't have any ILS needles and the instructor stopped giving any feedback (unless I bank above 30 degrees or exceed 250kts). I've tried a couple times, same result. null
  20. Yes! Instrument takeoff and SID worked perfectly (and minimal griping by my instructor, but I did not fail). However, when I tried the ILS approach, i could not ever achieve reception of the ILS. I confirmed my NAV radio was tuned properly (109.75) and I was aligned with the runway. When I called Kutasi for landing clearance, it directed me to the opposite runway (my understanding is that there is only an ILS approach for RWy07. Is it possible that the ILS was not broadcasting? I think I did everything right, but I'm going to try it again. I think I got all the instructor prompts along the way.
  21. Haven't been home yet to try! I will report back. Thank you. (Sorry, posting on my phone I wasn't clear)
  22. Thank you. I had trouble with training mission 2 (vfr flight) but the one that kept failing was training 4 (ifr takeoff).
  23. I would really appreciate any advice on how to just do the trainings with the voiceovers without failing...just to get the training benefit. Unfortunately, I'm not really familiar with ME and the couple times I've tried,I've just gotten frustrated. So if you could share tips or even miz files, that would be great.
  24. I'm curious if training mission 4 (IFR flight) also has an issue with the failure parameters after a recent DCS change. I have now tried it probably 50 times and I keep failing immediately after takeoff. The instructions say to keep a 5-10 degree pitch on the climb until sufficient speed is built (I assume targeting 215kt since that's what the instructions say). I have been exceedingly careful about my pitch, trying never to exceed 10 degrees. On a couple tries, I've kept it at 5 degrees (plus or minus a degree or two) and not cleared the obstacles at the end of the runway. But regardless of what I do, the training mission fails at that point and says I went off track. If this is as intended, is there a way to manually lower the bar of failure through mission editor? I may not be a perfect pilot, but I'd like to complete the trainings and get the benefit of the instructions without having to start from scratch every time. I attached two examples of tracks C-101FA-Lesson-02-Radios+Navaids-2_EN.miz_27062025_22-48a.trk C-101FA-Lesson-02-Radios+Navaids-2_EN.miz_27062025_22-41.trk
  25. Thank you! I tried several times thinking I must be missing something! Very much appreciate the fact that you're still supporting this module and its missions. I think that makes it a definite purchase for me when my trial is done. (And I hope anyone else who's on the fence sees this too!)
