Stormin i will refer you to the lock on site that provided the patches from 1.0 to 1.02 and i quote from the page " This is the second patch for Lock On: Modern Air Combat and is designed to address many of the significant bugs identified with the initial release of the product. This patch is however not designed to fix all identified bugs. We plan to provide additional patch(es) that will address problems not fixed in this first patch." Have they done that?....the answer is no. Instead they provide a add on at a cost that is so bugged it should never have been released. Did this add on address all the probelems or fixes for the game in its current form?...the answer again is no. When you ask have they been deceptive? I have to say no. Will I believe another thing they say the answer is....no

yes cali many times

no offence greyghost but are you a developer? I asked a response from them not you, your answering questions that are NOT posted towards you but comments your making on the board needs clarification from a DEVELOPER and yet another post by you states "I don't know if it'll be patched or not, and I don't think the devs will answer that question either. They've got a lot of work on their plate and they need to pick and choose wat they'll do." Basically my friend if you dont know dont answer ;)

Su27 hands down. Russian birds get lock and launch tone from the f-15 in HOJ the f-15 does not. Tws is neutered due to burn through at 13nm its useless. A mig 29 can lock a target at 40km in vertical scan mode so can the 33 and 27. Game needs to be patched immediately just hope we don wait for 6 months like we did with 1.0
-
we need a quick patch to fix the HOJ shot in the f-15 its getting ridiculous. It is a Passive Launch not an active one.
-
Try this take a mig 29 go to vertical scan mode you will pick up a target at 40km what is up with that? this is in multiplayer, jesus

yes ghost it has, leading friendly went defensive to me to engage when he went by my 9 position into 8.

Han with response to your reply about the aim 120 not tracking properly I will set the parameters for you. The first was a b-52 at 2000 feet. We came in high at 20000. None of the b-52's were jamming neither were any of my squadron. 4 of us locked 4 seperate b-52's in STT. We had about 5 mile seperation from the lead F-15 to the trailing f-15. We nosed down fired our 120's at our selected targets. Immediatey after launch a 120 tracked a friendly plane killing him. The other situation is a f-15 locking on a enemy jam signal (the jammer was a SU33) from the TEWS display the enemy plane was about 15miles out. The missile was fired in HOJ and it immediately tracked a friendly f-15 low to my 8 oclock and ended up killing him. None of the f-15's had their jammers on. May i ask are you trying to reproduce this in single player mode? I think the problem arises in multiplayer based on my experience. I would ask any other people who fly the f-15 to add there opinions here and there experience with this similar problem. Also in response to goyas post about the radar not scanning I have experienced this problem as well and seems to happen very infrequently but it does happen. I tried to clear it by going to different CAC modes turning it off and on but it would not fix it. I had to restart the game to fix it. thanks in advance

aim 120's tracking improperly I think there is a general consensus speaking to people that the aim 120 is not tracking properly or tracking the wrong target. Last night our squad was on a fighter sweep. We engaged 4 b-52's at low alt, we started the engagement at angels 20. 1 of our f-15's had a solid lock on a b-52 he fired fox 3 and the aim 120 immediately tracked a squadmate and ended up killing him. The parameters of the missile launch were reviewed and nothing out of the ordinary was noted. Now the radar reflection of the b-52 would be so great at the parameters we engaged the missile should not have tracked a friendly plane with a stt lock. Can someone at ed please check this out. I have had this happen to me as well. Solid lock STT or TWS on a enemy and the missile tracks a friendly very close by. In both instances that I have said niether plane lost lock. The data link should guide to target in my opinion

did i not say that in my post read what people say b4 you rant and like i said you have no clue a flippin monkey could have beta tested this better than you :) "Why would I use TWS in a HOJ? it becomes a STT and entirely defeats the purpose of using it geez man" <---first line of post
-
i stand by what i said your response to my post only showed me that you have no idea what you talked about ie the tws is useful on the hoj Secondly the people that were playing in the server yesterday were all very new and i personally could care a less about your score I would ask you to only speak on those matters that you know for certain leave the bug fixes to the developers In other words go wave your pom poms elsewhere the fact remains there is a lot of work to do and this add on should never have been released in its current form

vapor it was an example

Why would I use TWS in a HOJ? it becomes a STT and entirely defeats the purpose of using it geez man. Sorry you dont know what your speaking about, with burn through now at 13 or 12 nm your already dead and tws is not useful at all. Secondly tws as it is now the enemy gets a warning of a launch with jammer on or not. Obviously you dont play to many multiplayer games IMO or you wouldnt have posted the way you have. Thirdly you havent adressed the burn through issue at all. the final rebuttle i will make to you is I dont fly with jammer on specifically because i want a launch warning dont assume what i post but rather read it please. With the way tws is now no need to worry about having a jammer on to defeat another f-15's tws lock because i get a launch warning, again if you had tested properly you would have rectified this. Lastly have you tried hitting anything from long range with a aim 120 now? Simple fact is the missile is easily defeated, even at medium range. now you say "You can use the jammer strategically from long range, no danjer of HOJ there" I would say are you playing the same game we all are or are you living in a fantasy world? It really irritates me when i read of you jumping in threads and saying this or that when your completely wrong, if you tested things properly we (the whole community) would be in better shape.

When the game first came out burnthrough was not achieved untill 12 -13 nm the developers fixed the F-15 radar and the aim 120 and also stated for more realism burnthrough would be around 20 25. We currently burn through around 12 nm. With no launch warning of an incomming missle in HOJ 9 out of 10 times your dead. With stepping back to 12 -13 nm burnthrough you have completely taken away the f-15's ability to track in TWS. Its a useless mode now unless you come across someone who forgot to turn on ECM. Please return burnthrough back to its proper parameters. The aim 120 does not track properly now either. Would you mind taking a look at this Han

HOJ burn through ECM attention all
S77th-Souless replied to S77th-Souless's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
coldcrew the manual specifically states a aim 120 or aim 7 fired on a HOJ is a passive attack and not detectable. It states the same for the russian planes -
HOJ burn through ECM attention all
S77th-Souless replied to S77th-Souless's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
then why do the aim 120's and aim 7's locked onto a hoj give a warning of a missile launch? it is suppose to be a passive attack and it is not. i would really like to hear an answer to this. An su 33 locked onto my jammer can fire a missile and i get no launch warning however in a f15 if i lock his jammer and fire he gets a missile launch warning? Also why does tws give a missile launch warning now? The simple fact is bugs have remained from the very first store bought cd purchase and have never been rectified now were in a situation instead of jumping ahead we have moved backward again. Also why I'm on a rant ;) you might as well remove the aim 120 from the game now its useless give me a handful of stones pop my canopy and i would have better luck throwing them and hitting something -

planes recieve a launch warning immediately from the sparrow and the slammer in HOJ if an alamo is used the other plane recieves no launch warning while ecm is on. -

Either missle dedcat page 88 and 89 of manual. The point of my post is its a passive attack and the other plane does not get a missile launch warning. As for the missile I agree with you I always understood it was the AIM 7 however they are saying both. -
yes goya i agree with a locked threat but the point of my post is a missle launch warning. The manual states its a passive attack and there is no launch warning, you and I both know that a f-15 with a lock on a HOJ when it fires gives a launch warning this should not be
