  1. The Chinook quick start guide tell us to put the levers to flight (idle), it´s within the engine start procedure. So for ground taxi the levers already should be in flight (idle)
  2. Thank you for the explanation, great to learn new stuff Q to DASH: Can I imagine this as a PP-tube with a worm gear/screw thread drive? Q to LCT: So you are able to adjust the airframes horizontal plane in flight manually, correct?!
  3. @Lord Vader I did some quick testing and as @Butcher59 already mentioned above, it happens in SP as well. I tried @Rongor´s solution with resetting EGI 1&2 and it indeed just updates the map to my current position and stays there for the rest of the flight (looks like only EGI 1 updates position; nothing happens when cycling EGI 2 only). I figured out that the map always stops moving when EGI 1 fails to whatever reason. I tried to restore my postion with resetting generators, update my postion by creating a new mark point via the CDU, I shut down the hole aircraft and did a full startup again but the "stuck map" problem remains. I then tried to trigger an EGI failure via harsh maneuvers or hard landings but wasn´t able to do so. So the question is what triggers EGI to fail randomly during flight and if it is accurate to lose position updates completely without having the possibility to restore it. Any other ideas? 4. Thank you for your reply, I´ve only recognized it in multiplayer, as I only fly MP but I can do some testing and check it in SP as well lateron. And there is no exact time until it happens, it just even happens or even not. But I can do some testing on this as well and come back to you.
  5. I've actually had this problem several times now but can't assign where it comes from. Sometimes after I made entries into the CDU like switching waypoints via direct-to or creating own waypoints, the moving map stops moving and the ETA and distance information stays the same. Every other information like active track or heading is still displayed correctly. I took the following screenshots the same time and the MFD tells me that I am still 73.5 NM away from the target, even though I am actually almost 3 NM away. The position in the MFD is the one I made the entries at.
  6. Official procedure is "AFCS off" for ground taxi, but it works with "AFCS on" though. Had no issues with ground taxi right now...my procedure after engine start: both cond. levers to flight idle all fuel pumps on, XFER off GEN 1 & 2 on PWER XFER left/right off APU GEN off, APU off AFCS off steering to unlocked/swivel steering release parking break adding like 20% torque checking actuators in GND mode (INST page) GND switch/light active on MFDs Nevertheless there are some people having trouble with ground taxi. I also checked with a buddy who has the same issues, he did everything right but he was not able to gain any forward motion...
