  1. Same issue for me...
  2. Although I see quite a lot of negative comments on this forum, I must admit that I've never seen such an "ass kicking" hardcore simulator. And honestly, I know what I'm talking about. I started with Falcon for Atari ST in 1988 and then followed with all the worthy simulator over several years. After Falcon Allied Force, I thought that hardcore simulations was definitively dead. Then I've been more than happy to see the birth of DCS Blackshark and I was hoping that this series would continue to evolve. I'm now really amazed to see where we are today with DCS Warthog. Even in a beta stage, I have to admit that it is the best sim I've ever "played" with. Well, the only bad point for me is the lack of a true dynamic campaign (something like the F4AF campaign, a reference!)... And I think that I'm not alone on this point. However, I wish ED a very long life and many other sims with the same commitment to hardcore details! Thanks a lot ED (producers, devs, testers, ...) for your amazing work !!!! PS.: Sorry for my average English ...
  3. The problem may be related to a lack of video memory on Nvidia GPUs. I noticed that people complaining about this issue seems to have quite old Nvidia GPUs (8xxx and 9xxx models) with 512 or 640Mb of VRAM. Maybe that this happens when playing with too high graphics settings at high resolution (I was using 1920x1080). I just assembled a new computer (Core i7 950 + 6Gb RAM 1866MHz + GTX570) and now everything works fine with all settings at max + HDR ...
  4. Yes, shaders compilation finished normally. As it is a new beta 4 issue, I think that I will wait for beta 5 and see if the problem is solved ...
  5. I made a few tests and edited my first post. - This is a cloud issue - It happens on clean full install of beta 4 - It is not related to AA - I don't Alt-Tab before it happens
  6. Thanks, but I already tried that. I'm running in application controlled AA and AA set to 4x in the DCS GUI. Will try to switch off AA to see if it's better.
  7. When playing either - With textures at High and HDR off - With textures at medium and HDR on a lot of flat vertical black rectangles appear everywhere on terrain (see attached picture). If you fly through one of these and look back, it doesn't appear anymore. So, it's like they have only "one face". No problem when playing with textures at medium setting and HDR off. This didn't occur in Beta 3. [EDIT] After a few tests, actually these black rectangles are how the clouds look like from far away. When I enter a cloud, the corresponding rectangle disappear and the cloud looks normal. Then, once I get out of the cloud, it transforms again into a flat black rectangle. This happens only if textures setting is at high or HDR is on. This didn't happen in Beta 3. It is independent of AA settings (AA is set to application controlled and this issue occurs independently of AA settings in DCS GUI). This is observed on a clean install of full beta 4. System specs: OS: Windows XP, 32-bit SP3 MB: Asus P5K Deluxe (P35) CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 6700 @ 2.66GHz Ram: 2Gb DDR2 PC8500 @ 5-5-5-15 GPU: Geforce 8800GTS (640Mb) GPU Driver: 260.99
