  1. Does dcs even take into account the angled recovery though vs carrier's heading? Regardless, on landing the wind was blowing me very hard to the left, fwiw, not only via the hud info. but the plane itself. Still a fun campaign regardless, really like the long flight paths.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I've only done the first three and have noticed it in all of them. I.e, in the first one the carrier course for recovery should be 224 (the wind is blowing 044 at 11 knots) but it's heading is 233 which resulted in a bad cross/quartering wind when landing. The carrier's initial course is correct, but it changes after the dogleg at STPT 1 and 2. The other two missions are off heading to a similar degree. I tried to correct it myself but since the file is understandably encrypted, that won't work. It's not the end of the world, but it does make landing much harder than necessary and would be irl, fwiw.
  3. Fun campaign, thanks for the massive work involved. Question though; is there a reason why the carrier isn't heading into the wind when I'm landing at mission end? Have had several strong cross winds when landing that would be avoided per above irl, to my understanding. Sop for TO and landing is always into the wind, as far as I know.
  4. Thanks! I'm meaning rotating the view from the default position. The video I've attached shows what I mean; interestingly, as you can see the helmet does appear if I look back and up. But otherwise, the neck hole is all seen. I'd like the helmet to be always visible, including in these examples, not just when I look back and up. However, maybe if I edit the files from the video you posted, the helmet will also appear in these cases. Thanks for the tip. I don't use vr, use trackir but might as well try experimenting.
  5. No problem, thanks for trying to help.
  6. Unfortunately moving the view doesn't change anything, but thanks for the reply. Starting to look like the answer to my question is "no", which is unfortunate. Extremely silly seeing a headless pilot body.
  7. I'm aware of the body keystrokes, thanks. I'm meaning for the pilot helmet/head to always show. Right now, looking over the shoulder the pilot body has no head/helmet, just an Ichabod Crane looking hole where it should be.
  8. Is there a way to have this always visible?
  9. There is also the fact that even if something is done irl, that doesn't mean the game has it implemented correctly. Such may be the case with landing nws, maybe, maybe not.
  10. Thanks. It's any time, any scenario. All the time. Mp or sp, doesn't matter. And it's only the comm 1 radio, the other is fine. Very strange.
  11. Out of the blue, this radios volume has become very low even when turned all the way up. With or without SRS. Any ideas why?
  12. In game. Sorely needed.
  13. No problem, thanks. These are great missions, you did an incredible job.
  14. Late to the party, but great campaign. One question though; any way to increase the volume of the non-flight trigger generated comms? They have a very low default volume and that combined with the static, etc. sound effects they have makes them hard to understand at times, even with the radio volume at 100%. I looked at them in Audacity but don't see anything to change.
